ARIES SKYSCOPE 2009
Emerging into the light of spring on the 20th, the Sun enters Aries under the auspices of a void of course Moon in Capricorn, making things less easy than they would otherwise be. The genius inventor will come up with brilliant ideas for future applications under the Mercury conjunction to Uranus occurring on the 21st. Facing the reality of who you were in past lives, contrasting them with who you are today will be a fascinating challenge for those experiencing my workshop this weekend but it remains to be seen how the rest of the world will handle the energy of the soul-scrubbing Sun square Pluto that appears on the 23rd and wipes out the egos of the powerful. A rush of new ideas surges ahead on the 25th when the winged messenger Mercury enters Aries on the eve of the 26th’s New Moon in the sign of the pioneer, boldly going where no one has been before. Yet when you jump into troubling situations that you have to dig yourself out of, you’ve encountered the shit that Mercury square Pluto exposes on the 27th and while it can be somewhat ameliorated by the pleasantness of Sun conjunct Venus occurring the same day, it might result in lecherous thoughts about beautiful bodies on display at the beach when I’m in Hawaii. The inferior conjunction of retrograde Mercury to the Sun occurs on the 30th so think of all the things you never did that you wanted to do and get back to doing what is natural for you to make sure you haven’t missed anything. Often, it means moving on and ending relationships that have eroded or been undermined over time or there are suspicions that some things aren’t right with the elimination of the partnership marked by the Venus square Pluto (3rd). Brighter days are approaching with the high-minded, adventurous and fun-loving Mercury sextile Jupiter on the 4th and later that day, Pluto turns stationary and shifts into retrograde while Mars in Pisces opposes Saturn in Virgo, which is rather like piloting a speedboat into the Statue of Liberty or the Pieta, as it is the Palm Sunday weekend and for many, Spring Break gets underway. Hence it is imperative to maintain a rational mind while others have melted their brains with alcohol by the 7th when Mercury forms a sextile to Neptune. A sense of balance is restored on the 9th as the logical reasoning of Mercury entering Taurus takes hold and the Full Moon in Libra harmonizes the disconcerting energy we just passed through. On the 10th the Sun steers a course into a sextile with the greater benefic, Jupiter and we should expect to see some significant expansion in the coming month as optimism and enthusiasm for positive efforts is running strong. Research and investigation are tools of Mercury trine Pluto that probes into hidden mysteries. Venus enters its exalted sign, Pisces, on the 11th, resurrecting spiritual energies and the life force that had been slumbering over the winter. The frantic pace at which many people will operate will become chaotic on Tax Day as Mars comes into a conjunction with Uranus but later on in the day, the Sun sextile Neptune may prove to be more forgiving for tardiness and delinquency which are common with Aries energy. As the warrior sign wraps up its time in the sun, Venus turns direct at the last degree of Pisces very close to Mars and they’ll stay close for a couple of months. Venus rules money and Mars is assertive, impulsive and stimulating, so may well energize the economy in the coming two or three months. Good luck and may this spring help bounce your balance back.
