Rumsfeld, the Donald Schmuck of Defense

Since Rummy has taken over the Department of Defense, it has become the Dept. of War and Misdirection. One of the reasons for this is the fact of his Mars on his MC in Gemini in a square to his Neptune on his Virgo ASC. Sure Cancer is a defensive sign, but his Sun is conjoining Pluto and the paramount thought in his head is “Nuke the bastards!” His position amongst his fellow Republicans is secure, having worked his way through the Nixon and Ford administrations. But let’s stick to an astrological analysis as much as possible.

Having a Virgo rising, South Node and Moon, he has a very critical, skeptical attitude. Virgo ASC people often are their own worst critics and the South Node is often a negative Nellie. It’s the sign of uniformed military service and as such, will always have a loyalty to the troops and their suppliers. Mercury is the ruling planet of his chart and his MC, so in Leo, like our commandeer-in-thief, his smug superiority and arrogance are annoying to many. The only aspect Mercury makes is a sextile to Mars, which shows that all he thinks about is war and arming the military. Mercury is the final dispositor, so everything comes back to this obsession with militarism.

His North Node in Pisces is ruled by Neptune in the 12th house, so at one point he was the president of Seale Pharmaceuticals, makers of Aspartame. Before Reagan and Bush weaseled their way into office in 1980, Aspartame couldn’t get FDA approval. Somehow, in 1981, the FDA with Reagan appointees making decisions, approval was obtained and the chemical artificial sweetener was on the market. I guess killing lab rats wasn’t enough. Humans were not the guinea pigs for the chemical. Neptune is in the 12th house of deception and victimization, as well as hospitals and a lot of people will go there because of his work and manipulation of laws and policy.

Jupiter is the planet of law and government, so politics as usual can be draining when it’s placed in the 12th house. But it’s in Leo, so he’s in this biz for personal gain and self-aggrandizement. His Jupiter is not about truth, however, since the square to Chiron shows him to be very wounded in that department. There are other places we can see that, as in his Pallas Athene, the asteroid of diplomacy in an opposition to Mars and square to his nodes, showing skipped steps. In other words, his is the diplomacy of war and he is challenged in the wisdom and diplomacy dept.

Then there are aspects that show he has a problem in dealing with people in intimate, caring ways. He’s cold and fearful about close emotional ties because of several aspects. First of all, his Venus in Cancer is retrograde, square to Moon in Virgo and inconjunct to Saturn in the icy sign of Aquarius. The Sun is square Uranus, making him eccentric and at times unprincipled, which fits his party’s agenda perfectly. He is the devil’s advocate, always wanting to argue points with others because of a rebellious reaction to past authority. He may be a troublemaker and is perhaps one of those responsible for not listening to Richard Clarke about the threat of terrorists being imminent.

He, like Bush boy, will have his ass handed to him in July when the full force of Saturn comes crashing down on his Sun and then Pluto in August. Bush gets hit in June, which should tank his numbers significantly. If justice were to be done, he would rot in prison along with Bush and Cheney and Rice and the rest of the Bush Beans. Okay, so I got a little partisan. You know where I stand.

Don Rumsfeld is a subversive member of the greatest neo-con-artists who ever bilked an entire nation, the PNAC. How the public can believe half of what he says is beyond me. He has given Al Franken and Jon Stewart among many others lots of fodder for fun making. Bush and Dummy together must be one long runaround of repeating patterns of speech. His Sun on Pluto square Uranus makes him a crazy madman who keeps much of his true self buried so that few know who he is or what he’s up to, which is the killing of thousands and the destruction of property worth in the millions. His Moon in Virgo squares Venus retrograde in Cancer, giving him reactionary values and an inability to love or value people, let alone have a real relationship. Mars square Neptune is a classic drug addict or alcoholic and it makes passive-aggressive remarks and attacks at others. Mercury in Leo sextile Mars is the only aspect of note that Mercury makes in his chart, where you play games with words and make it so people don’t understand you so they can’t direct a question at what you said. That’s why he will frequently ask and answer his own questions. He gets really cranky and needs to go and lay down for a minute, because everyone needs a little escape from reality, especially when you have Jupiter and Neptune in the 12th house.

Paul Wolfowitz and the World Domination Game

Here’s a Jewish guy born 11 days after John Kerry in the same year and cut from extremely opposite kinds of cloth. This is almost the farthest right anyone has even been in the past twenty years! What is with this man’s obsession to dominate the world? Well, let’s see why he is the way he is.

First of all, he’s a Capricorn with Moon in Scorpio, the two most financially successful signs of the zodiac, but also the most ruthless, especially the Moon in Scorpio, in its fall in a close square to Pluto, making him obsessive, perhaps compulsive too, but that’s less likely. One needs to witness or experience some form of destruction to handle this energy and sometimes, they willingly seek it out. This could also be born out some incestuous childhood experience. Usually it signifies an intense and explosive family dynamic that foreshadows the kind of violent intentions lay ahead. It’s also an intention to destroy other people’s countries and cultures to transform them into his delusional vision, which comes into his aura with the Sun square to Neptune. This is his inability to handle reality or see things as they are. He’s looking at want should be the order and structure he wants to put in place. Keep in mind this is the guy who said we would be welcomed by the Iraqis as liberators and would be showered with fruits and flowers. Sun/Neptune paints a glowing landscape of an imaginary scene. The reality may be so 180 degrees, that he will never have any credibility in any other administration. A Capricorn’s reputation is everything, and now he will be perceived as a man who’ll do anything to get into a war to take over another country. He is an imperialistic elitist. Just ask him.
Wolfgang has Mars conjoining Uranus in Gemini, so he has a radical methodology of chaos in his strategy. It could also be some strange, bizarre and kinky sexual practices. They are trine to Neptune, so he incorporates deception and illusion to try to get the job done, however. This should have been a hi-tech, shoot where we can see them but they can’t see us. Instead, it’s the worst nightmare of war, urban combat with high collateral damage and huge civilian casualties. Now, strategy is a Saturn concept and his Saturn may have a wide sextile to Jupiter, for his global domination scheme but it is sadly lacking in the detailed, practical planning part of the program, since his Saturn and Mercury are inconjunct each other, despite being in mutual reception (each other’s signs). He has Pluto on the North Node, like Kerry, but with a different intention, since his wound is so deep, it skews to the anger and cowardice of people who want others to pull the trigger, as he would never stoop to shooting someone himself. If he were to be a part of the war effort from the front lines, he’d have re-thought his strategies a long time ago.

Here’s something else worth considering…Saturn is in a wide opposition to his Sun, which means that all he sees out there is fear and control and he who has it is the winner…and he wants it. There is often an attraction to authority figures and there is also a desire to control, manipulate and dominate other people, having no compassion of feeling for what really goes on behind the scenes in the real response to war. Here’s a theory about his past life…he was a Nazi who was killed in WWII and was reincarnated as a Jew as payback. He may be a man akin to Ariel Sharon, the guy with two girl’s names. Back to Wolfowitz, his Juno is on the South Node, indicating he’s pretty crappy at relationships. Well, look at his Moon and Venus in Scorpio, which is prone to burning bridges behind him when it comes to committed relationships. It could also be him lying prone and getting buggered by hunky gay guys whom he pays for their services so he doesn’t have to form love relationships.

A.G. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has initials to match his title but it doesn’t make him a cool guy or an ethical one, either. Six planets are in Leo and that could only be bad for everyone else who values personal freedom and liberty because, you see, we all live in Alberto’s world and he controls the FBI and the Justice Department. Four of his Leo planets are square Saturn in Scorpio and oppose his Moon in Aquarius, for the icy cold emotions he would have in order to clear the way for torture and the suspension of the Geneva Conventions. His Venus is opposite Chiron, so his value system is off base because of a deep wound that he projects on to others and of which he is in denial. This pair squares Juno, asteroid of relationships and that, along with Saturn in Scorpio, plays into his fears and paranoia about sex, although not as bad as Ashcroft. With North Node in Sag and Jupiter on his Sun, he was destined to judge others by way of his opinions and knowledge of the law…in that order. He is not averse to allowing a Supreme Court nominee to change his mind about his stance, even if stating an opinion contrary to a prior ruling. Excuse me, your honor…goes to precedent. We can’t wipe his slate clean for him to be viewed on appearance alone. It’s not The Bachelor. Alberto is a head tripper and game player from way back, with his nodes in Sag North and Gemini South in opposition to his boss’s. Perhaps that Saturn square to all his Leo makes him aware of the delicate balance political power has. Mars square his Saturn means his small penis size is compensated for by the power he wields over others. Moon trine Neptune is his instinct to blindly accept and receive as knowledge that religion is more powerful than government and that the individual can be sacrificed, as shown by his Uranus-Neptune square. It could well be the Moon/Pluto opposition is his corruption and deep secrets that won’t be discovered until he has already done his damage. He is an attack dog that’s being chained by circumstance as shown by Mars/Sun square Saturn. He’s dangerous and is worth tracking on all this legal haranguing.

The former Secretary of Defense under Reagan, Caspar Weinberger died this week. With his Mars and Pluto in Cancer on the South Node, his defensive nature and hawkish aggression appealed to a certain domination nation mentality. He was deeply involved in the Iran/Contra scandal in which he lied to congress and allowed the funneling of drugs into the US by the Nicaraguans in exchange for arms and to Iran in exchange for the hostages to be freed upon the election of Reagan, which Bush set up before the hostages were even aware of what was going on. Our government was supplying weapons to both Iran and Iraq in their war against each other in the theory that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. You might remember that picture of Caspar’s good buddy, Rummy, shaking hands with Saddam, all smiles. The COD was pneumonia so we look for Mercury, 3rd house and Gemini issues in the chart. Sure enough, Chiron is in Pisces in the 3rd, making alcohol an addiction and offering the fluid in the lungs as a chronic thing, as well. The Moon in Virgo square Jupiter in Gemini in the 6th also gives a hint but transit Pluto square his Mercury and Venus might have been the veritable nail in the proverbial coffin. Another contributing cause may have been the progressed Sun square Uranus or perhaps the minor Mercury opposite Saturn for lungs to shut down. Finally, Venus, ruler of the 6th, entered that house and opposed progressed Mercury in the last degree of Scorpio. He also was in a Saturn return and Pluto was near his ASC with Mars opposing it in the 6th house.
