Tomorrow’s New Moon is conjoining Saturn and Mercury and it gives rise to a few ideas regarding security issues. When is safeguarding being overprotective? Our country is a Cancer nation and has traditions of being the caretaker of the world. Cancer is the caregiver and protector of the family. This could be extended to include all of the Earth’s population. Our President is a crab as well and has this mindset that it’s okay to control the way people around the world live because we take care of them. After all, we throw all this money at foreign countries to bail them out, to buy their loyalty or to get their support for wars. This week alone, he wanted to give 3.12 billion to Pakistan. Now, I don’t know about his deeper motives there but I believe that money could be better spent right here in our own country, perhaps bailing out the states whose economies prevent them from having decent education, police and fire service or housing for the homeless. I’ll tell you this; he will lose points with women this year, as his solar return has Moon square Venus and Saturn. Where is the compassionate conservative when you need those attitudes to improve life in our own country first? In order for you to be able to take care of anyone else, you have to take care of yourself first. Security is one thing, responsibility is another and it is more of a Saturn thing. Well, with this Saturn conjunction, it might feel frustrating to many early Cancers…but it can be handled if you know how to use it. The temptation is to manipulate and control others instead of yourself but if you can’t control yourself then you have no real sense of responsibility and should not be in charge of others. We ask our lawmakers to be in charge of what our taxes are spent on and it isn’t fair or pretty. What they have done to us is hold us hostage while creating wars as they’ve undermined our economy for the next decade. Their league of spin-doctors has created an image that isn’t anywhere near the truth. In fact, there has been more secrecy during this administration than ever before in the history of our government. When is protecting your citizens by putting them in jails justified? When they are Arab Americans. It doesn’t help that religions have divided us or that the history books, as they are re-written now by the extra-politically correct, pussyfoot around delicate events and sugarcoats them with unfailing blindness. They are creating a past that is a fantasy, fictional in its portrayal of people in roles they would not have experienced or excluding roles that are now considered stereotypical or biased. Despite the fact that many Asian people ran laundry services, they won’t depict any Chinese cleaners. They would like to change history and whitewash all the discrimination out of it. I can understand their concerns that children should not learn negative behavior or racial profiling but in all honesty, call a spade a spade and I’m referring to a playing card, not a derogatory name for a particular ethnicity. The language in school textbooks is regressing into a black and white world that is flat, populated by bland, two-dimensional people of indeterminate ethnicity. History, it seems, is history because the publishers sanitize the wording in order to try to revise the past. Get past it! What happened, happened and altering the facts doesn’t change anything. I’m still reading this book called The Language Police by Diane Ravitch and it has become apparent that our children are having the desire to read driven out of them by a watering down of our language. The list of banned books and words or phrases is so extensive that I would have a hard time speaking with such a limited vocabulary or writing guidelines. I’m sensing that Fahrenheit 451 might not be too far from the truth of the near future. Orwell’s 1984 was closer than you think and Brave New World is just around the corner. All of them are banned. Have another hit of Soma, it will take all your problems away. How about some Prozac, ease your worries. Don’t worry that your president and his cronies hijacked the nation and have generated fear in the hearts and minds of everyone living in this country. Big Brother is watching you and when you get the ticket in the mail for running a red light with a camera, you’ll understand better. When the future seems bleak, many people want to retreat back to safer times, so waves of nostalgia overcome different generations with echoes of earlier ones, sanitized for your protection. In the 70’s, there was a retro interest in the 50’s without a Cold War. Remember Happy Days? In the 90’s, they were flashing back to the 70’s and even the 40’s and the 50’s again. The 80’s was a weird decade altogether and I think it was because of AIDS and other sexually oriented exploitation revealed by Pluto in Scorpio. It was a conservative’s period of profit taking as the Reaganomics theory of trickle down prosperity failed miserably. The decade most needing a revival is the 60’s, although in a way, it’s never really been too far gone. What is gone is the quality of influential people we looked up to with hope for a better future. People like the Kennedy brothers, Martin Luther King and even Malcolm X. These people were assassinated by powerful concerns that didn’t want peace, integration, civil rights or voting for poor blacks in the South. They were killed by people who thrive on the killing of millions of people around the world. Those who base their profits in war, like Halliburton and its subsidiaries, are responsible for the carnage wrought on our planet, year after year. As for California being in a huge budget crisis, I wrote to Gov. Davis months ago with ideas for saving the economy without raising taxes or fees and he never replied. I suggested that the legalization of hemp products would generate major amounts of capital but he feared the rage of the U.S. Capitol. It takes guts to stand up to the federal government and despite his being a Capricorn with Moon in Leo, his Sun is square to Neptune and it makes him a confused or deceitful person who fell off the turnip truck and got ripped off by the magic bean sellers from Enron. It used to be that you could count on Democrats being largely to the left and the Republicans leaning to the right. When you hear of this kind of middle-right Democrat trying to hold a crumbling economy together by tripling the license fees for vehicle registration, I’d say you’re dealing with a rigid, narrow-minded, tow-the-line and strangle the state population with it kind of guy. I’ve told people for a long time that they have to get past their past and the only way to do that is to progress forward. When you are ready to move ahead and make progress in your evolutionary development, you’ll want to talk with me. The most important thing you can do is take care of your own self, first. Only then will you be in any position to take care of another human being. Only by feeling out what you need as an individual will you get what makes you feel secure and comfortable. Stop being defensive, preventing others from getting to know you. If your routine is limited to home and work, it’s time to go out for a change. With Saturn trine Mars and Uranus, business should pick up, in general. With this next Friday being the Forth of July, our next show will be about the founding of our country and it’ll be a little history lesson. Calvin Coolidge was born on the 4th, and a couple presidents died on that day. On to happier notes, we’ll be doing a class on chart interpretation this afternoon, so if you want to learn astrology, you might want to come on down. You can buy my book or a clock when you get to my house and also you’ll get to see my solar system concrete floor, just don’t try to take it with you when you leave! Bring your brain with you, too!

Just a few Gemini footnotes to wrap up the last moments of spring…in the world of baseball, which happens every spring, comes a rare event. A no-hit game. Even more unique is the fact that there were two games in which multiple pitchers were used to win the game. In one case, the Yankees were no-hit for the first time in 45 years by 6 Houston pitchers, a record in both cases. The Yanks held the record for most years without being no-hit and the Houston Astros used the most pitchers for a no-hitter. In a High School All Star game, one team used 9 pitchers to no-hit their opponent. That’s the first time that’s ever happened. It is, indeed, the first day of Summer! The Solstice is the entry of the Sun into Cancer and crossing the Tropic of Cancer at 23 degrees, 30 minutes stirs up the waters of the oceans of emotions. This is what scholars refer to as summer love. When love is rejected, one often compensates by turning to food and the issues it creates because it is the last legal addiction, so many are finding fulfillment in food instead of love. The weight they put on generates self-esteem issues and circular patterns of self-debasement. This could be sourced in parental battles and the familial chaos that caused the subconscious to retreat from feeling love and affection for others and feeding one’s face first. Cancer is the sign of the past and history has shown us that in simpler times, we had two things that urged us on to survive: Food and Love. One could argue that all you need is food and love. Too bad the Beatles didn’t consider that part of their song. Some scientists argue that humanity changed its evolutionary arc when it changed its diet. Enzymes and proteins in food trigger growth of particular potions of the brain and send signals to it to find a particular expression or desire. It has been shown that men who eat meat are more aggressive and driven sexually than men who are vegetarians. It’s the hormones, dude. It’s not that you aren’t capable of having sex if you don’t eat meat…it’s that the anger and fear that is deposited in the animal’s flesh when it’s slaughtered is transferred into your body. Simply put, you are what you eat. Tracing the history of human evolution hasn’t been easy because of the creationist religious zealots who close their minds to physical evidence. They want to deny the existence of dinosaurs. I wonder what they think oil comes from? This blind leading the blind mentality enrages me with incredible amounts of unbelievably. Anthropologists may have found the missing link in human evolution in the form of a skull from 160,000 years ago in Ethiopia, Africa. I have no problem accepting this as a scientific fact, although it is my belief that there were intelligent humans here thousands and even millions of years before that. It has been 65 million years since the extinction of the great reptiles and there had to have been periods when the planet was able to be inhabited or colonized by travelers from other worlds. It’s a nice little getaway planet from the hustle and bustle of the center of the galaxy. The religionists will try to fit all of creation into 6 days when it was meant to be God’s days, not human’s days. It’s like dog years, God ages a million of our years in one of his days. He’s not a magician who waves his hands over an empty space and poof, let there be life! If you really want to know how this works, you won’t find the answers in the bible. It is said that the history books are written by the victors. Well, when the victors are the repression and guilt-inducing fear mongers who create images of evil to frighten you into being good little sheep, then you have to step back and examine what they are trying to teach you. Do they ever say anything about empowering your God within or explain how Jesus wanted no churches or temples, but all of nature to be the cathedral of God? And when our scientists are too timid to tell the President he’s being naive and blind by believing in creationism, what can we do? When our children are having their tests and texts purged of every element of diversity and exploration of places different from their own because of fears of bias or sensitivity, how can we guide them to the truth? We have to take care of our families and nurture our young to become good and worldly citizens of this planet. Another is that we need to make education about nurturing relevance. We have to prepare them for a future that may be very different from the present. What will happen when technology moves us into the 22nd century and our religionist politicians propel us into the 16th? I’m a history buff and like antiques and old masters and great literature. Unfortunately our children may be prevented from experiencing that sort of inspiration because much of it is deemed to be obscene or biased. A flatlander might not understand what mountains are all about and so might get their feelings hurt reading about it. I’m sorry, but one reads to expand one’s mind, not limit it to things they would only encounter in their personal life. Limitation is a Saturn principle and many authoritarians use their power to control and manipulate people and material things to amass a fortune while the general population has little or nothing. The Moon and Cancer, the sign it rules, deal with caring and concern for family and in historical terms, it meant the tribe you were a part of, as well. Besides food and home and family, it is also about emotional responses and memories, which are the reasons many of us have problems. We carry them around like a ball and chain, trying to move forward while shackled to the past. We get angry with the people we are supposed to love because we are part of the family. Well, one thing I’ve learned is that you can’t control family members and you can’t expect them to live up to what you expect of them. You don’t need to like them but you might want to love them and accept who they are, letting them go their own way, whether you agree with it or not. You are not the commander of a ship in your family unless it is a ship of fools. And believe me, when the mutiny happens, the self-appointed captain will not be merciful. Many crimes of passion happen within the family and I’m not even referring to mafia families. Domestic squabbles can lead to violence, especially when alcohol or drugs are involved. You always hurt the one you love…because you don’t really love yourself. This is a theme I’ve seen over and over again. Some people should not be in a relationship unless they have some serious counseling, either astrological or psychological and even reincarnational readings to clear out any residual demons from past lives. Many people are like the History Channel, where the past comes alive and live it over and over again. I am more of a futurist and see things as they could be and that’s because of my Uranus in Cancer activating my entire chart. When Saturn last was in Cancer, I began my study of astrology. Now that it has returned, I will take it to a new level and enlighten those who are ready for its wisdom. I am still seeking people who wish to study. Buy my book! A few more thoughts…I figured out the mystery of the weapons of mass destruction and you’re not going to like it. These weapons have been manufactured in this country for a long time and the government not only knows about them, they have been paid by these mass murderers to allow them to stay in business. It doesn’t matter if there are warnings on the labels because over a million people per year die from the use of…alcohol and tobacco products. When did we have a war when we’ve lost that many people? I rest my case and point the finger at our government for being complicit in the death of millions. But, let’s talk about happier matters. How about discussing your family relationships? That’s a good topic for Cancer. Or your food addictions would be good fodder for discussion. One last thought: Did you forget something? Return to the scene of the thought. It helps to stimulate the memory. Give us a call

It’s a Full Moon Father’s Day and Flag Day and I salute the ideals and principles of the great people who helped build our country, however imperfect, into a great nation. There is still much room for improvement and I have a few ideas about that. Sometimes it comes down to addition by subtraction. First of all, let us say goodbye to the man who revealed that the Reagans used an astrologer to time major decisions and sign treaties. Don Regan is the stiff in the coffin, having passed away this week about a year after his Uranus return and his Neptune opposition to its natal place. But the real deathblow came with Saturn opposite his Sun. You might remember he was Secretary of the Treasury, having had a background in Wall Street for 30 plus years. Now John Ashcroft is a man I would like to bid a permanent farewell to. He has taken the Constitution and shredded the document so that we have mere pieces of it left. Without so much as a “sorry we held you for no reason”. Thousands of citizens were detained without bail, lawyers or the right to see their families after 9-11, simply because they were Arabic or Islamic. The truth must come out. Hillary’s book is a tell-all about the years in the midst of scandals largely perpetrated by a right-wing conspiracy. If you followed the trail, it would lead back to the man who lost to him in 1992, GHW Bush. I like to call him Herbert and he just had a birthday! I think there are some dirty secrets that will come out about him, too, if the fascists who control the media will let it get published. You can read about it on the internet at Tarpley.net and it’s called the Unauthorized biography of George Bush. Anyway, he’s got an interesting Solar Return this year with the Scorpio Moon on the south node and opposite Mercury squared by Mars. Someone from his past is going to get #41 rather perturbed and considering the body count of people who have ended up dead after crossing him, I wouldn’t like to be that person. But I stray from astrological significance…Pluto is in an opposition to his, an aspect that will be exact in January 2004. Venus square Uranus in this chart may testify to the intimacy issues he has, indicated by his natal Venus retrograde square Moon and Sun square Uranus. Anyone in politics can create an image that they are faithful to their family and the American people but many are not as they seem. Even the idol of millions, JFK, was found to be a duplicitous scoundrel regarding his wanton hedonism and his pernicious passions for a certain blonde bombshell. Interestingly, all these Geminis converged in a way. But you can read about that on my website in an article called Bush on the Grassy Knoll. Let us return to the present. This is an intense, even deadly lunation. Gregory Peck and David Brinkley both died this past week and we’re waiting for the 3rd show biz person to hit the happy hunting grounds. Maybe Bob Hope? His life story would reveal some seriously shrewd real estate deals. He owns half of the valley! Here we have a Full Moon, conjoining Pluto in Sag and if that’s not a tell-all mentality, digging up the stuff from the past and revealing it in published word, I don’t know what is. There was also an old picture from 1983 of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein, offering weapons for their war against Iran. You see, when you arm both sides of a war, they end up being aimed back at you! This is something the RRR didn’t bargain for. There is tremendous shortsightedness in war. It isn’t good for anyone. Unless you happen to be Dick Cheney and love to watch the History Channel when they replay all the old war footage, then go to work and play at the big table in the war room where the ships and planes and troops are deployed. Oh yeah, and there’s the fact that every time there is a war, Halliburton makes big money supplying both sides and cleaning up afterward. So I see who war benefits the most and it’s frightening to think he’s one good gunshot away from being the most powerful man in the world. This is theoretically the year of assassination. Reagan just avoided the last one by a whisker and I wouldn’t doubt if Herbert was behind that attempt. It’s all this Plutonian stuff that is a reflection of this full moon! Meanwhile, Mercury is exactly square Uranus today, so if me ideas seem way far out there, that’s why. And if they seem to make perfect sense to you, then you have been paying attention. Most people rationalize, like Geminis, where they refuse to be wise about the guys who rise to power. They don’t want to accept that the people they chose to protect and defend the Constitution are the ones tearing it apart. Without any heart, they start a war…what for? For oil and the glory of God and to keep the Kurds alive to run the drugs through the mountains to Turkey. God = Guns, Oil, Drugs. To these warlords from Atlantis, destroying lives and eating away at your retirement money, invading foreign countries to obtain their resources, it’s the only way to do business. Their logic is so flawed that I am awed and in shock that I look at their shock and awe campaign with complete disdain. It’s like the Nazi blitzkrieg attack. In fact, a word about the family tree in the shrub family. Grandpa was a friend of Hitler. Oh yes. You can look it up. Now I wonder what Mars conjoining Uranus might do? Sounds like a surprise attack to me. In Pisces, it’s probably by sea. D-Day was launched during a full moon, as well. Tomorrow is Father’s Day and for all you Dads out there, don’t expect much but the normal traditions, mainly because the Moon will be in Capricorn and it’s old school. A useful and functional gift would be logical. Too bad you can’t buy an electric car. GM was making the EV1 but because of pressure from the oil companies backed out of the deal and sabotaged it on the way out. A smart person would write their congressperson and have them vote for electric cars. As for me, I find that I need much for the worldly part of life, but little for the personal. I am already more than I seem to others and even myself. I have an Infinity G-20 and it’s not perfect either but it gets me many places. I have a wife and son who are perfect in their imperfections as well. And yet there is so much more to life. It’s not about going anywhere but being where you are and being who you are. Just remember who you are, part of the Matrix of all life. In this earthly web of illusion and corruption, you have to distinguish yourself from the masses and the machines. Don’t become a robot, plugged into the system of depersonalized personalities. Strive to be yourself to the fullest extent of your ability and learn to tolerate others, whether they please you or not. It was Narcissus who sat all day staring at his reflection in the water. Have we become so vain that we admire our image of ourselves without filling out the substance of our spirit? Have we also become so addicted to a particular substance that we can’t live without it? If you had nothing at all, would you have anything? I know that if I were homeless and naked, I would possess more than 95% of the people in this world because I know who and what I Am. In spite of all the myriad pieces that make up the whole of the universe…apart from the fact that everyone has the same basic biological functions…I know I am a unique individual and indivisible aspect of God. For those who are religiously attached to ritual and guilt, I tell you this: God does not judge you and you can do only what you are meant to do, so be who you are meant to be. If there is only One God, he is the God of All. So let’s worship his creation in a spirit of love and create it better.

June 7, 2003

There are deep treasures buried in the pages of the newspaper and some lead you to further explore other, greater mysteries and wonders. There was an article about an exploration of Pluto, which the Sun is about to oppose and the Moon will square in a few hours from this broadcast. For a planet that has been known for 73 years, little has been observed about its physical characteristics, whereas the other planets have had Voyagers and Explorers as well as other SUV’s and Minivans of the space program take photos and record data. While I am all for research into the nature of the physical world and its environs, I am more concerned about my spiritual evolution. Being cooped up on this planet out at the fringe of a backwater galaxy with little signs of intelligent life, I am wondering why I ever came back here in the first place. I am not talking to myself, really, but I am wondering out loud. What is life like out there? And how does one get to go. The first step is to know yourself…or remember who and what you really are. As I have just finished reading Conversations with God, I am finding that many of my beliefs and insights about the nature of the universe and humanity’s place in the vast spectrum of evolution is fairly close. I have always been different than normal people as I am sure many of you feel, as well. It’s tough to be smarter, funnier, wiser and more intuitive than most people around you. “They hate you if you’re clever and they despise a fool.“ John Lennon sang that in Working Class Hero, which is what he was and I aspire to be. Paul McCartney will turn 61 on the 18th and his music, by comparison, is lightweight and trivial, with his Mercury retrograde in Gemini. John had Mercury in Scorpio, square to the Moon opposition to Pluto. Mercury also made oppositions to the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction, the same aspect as when he was assassinated by the Bush-brainwashed Mark Chapman. Chapman has Mars in Gemini on the South Node and Bush has the same aspect in Aquarius. The Warlord and the Hit-man stopped a potential peace movement before it could interfere with the Republican agenda. Nixon had a dossier on Lennon, too. Well, if you read as much as I do, you’d know this stuff. People who have an agenda will do anything to fulfill their evil plans. People of principle will often meet unexpected fates at the hands of the evil ones. And while Gemini is about duality, it is also a wide array of other ideas. The media will always find a story and enhance its exploitable qualities, as in the Jessica Lynch story, which has seemed to come out as largely fabricated. Jessica’s integrity to avoid authorizing her ordeal as a movie is to be applauded. It would turn into a propaganda film for this administration, which is trying to spin off the issue of a failure to find WMD’s in Iraq, let alone track down Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden. I guess they made their getaway with the help of former CIA operatives who knew when to get them out. There are more strings tying these guys together with Bush and his gang than you would guess. Congress wants to ban public smoking of tobacco. Hey, Washington, do you know that smoking is the number one killer of Americans? 600,000 per year die from tobacco consumption. Here’s an idea! Why not prosecute the manufacturers of tobacco as Mass Murderers? After they got banned from television, they sought out aggressive ad campaigns in other media and have very high profile people hawking their products. These are role models for many and they should set a better example. Nicole Kidman needs to stop smoking, along with Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Anyone who is using tobacco is increasing his or her risk of cancer and it’s a painful way to die. Many people with strong Gemini in their chart have a potential lung problem, anyway and if you dance with the devil, you’re gonna get burned. Pluto deals with deep, psychological issues and I think my Scorpio dog is a prime example of how astrology affects animals as well as humans. They have charts, too and I did Merlin’s chart based on a speculated time of birth. No matter what time he was born, his Moon is in Virgo, like today’s moon. Also he has Saturn square the stellium of Venus, Mars and Jupiter. To top it all off, he has an Aries South Node. What’s it all mean? He has anger management issues and will often explode after repressing it for a long time. I really need a pet psychic now! He just had Pluto go over his Mars and square his Saturn. Oh my God! Let’s just say he went postal with a psychotic therapy patient and his dog while at work with my wife. I know he needs work on his social skills with a Libra North Node but it’s hard when he attacks the other dogs most of the time. He’s pretty insecure with Venus square Saturn; he doesn’t think anyone really loves him but that’s a past life issue. He also has issues about his manhood or lack thereof. Must be a classic case of overcompensation…the Napoleon Complex. Power trips are never welcome in spiritual situations or environments. If we are all part of the One, then we are really no different on the deepest level. It remains only up to what you choose to develop in the vessel you inhabit. Have you made yourself a better version of you…a Version 2.0 or 3.0? Have you upgraded your hard drive and gotten rid of a lot of the old floppies? Are you ready to burn some radical riffs? It is time to reprogram the computer of your life…your mind. There’s a great Albert Brooks/Merle Streep movie called Defending Your Life and you should all see it. There is discussion about how much of one’s brain one is using. Speaking of movie stars, Richard Chamberlain is gay? I think I’ve known that for over 25 years! It is in his chart, though. It’s that Libra Moon/Jupiter conjunction in the first house that starts it off, along with the Mars conjunction to the Sun in Aries and the Venus/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius. But the clicker is the Moon opposition to Uranus in the 7th and square Pluto in the 10th. Mercury in Pisces opposite Neptune is why he avoided discussing it for so long. If you are a certain way, be yourself! You create your reality by your expectations and thoughts become actions or things. Be careful what you wish for, as you will likely get it. Things are not always what they seem to be and getting fired from your job may turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you because it made you move into another direction that changes your life for the better. It starts with a thought. In the beginning there was the word. When you are ready to be the God within yourself, make I Am statements instead of I was or I will or I used to be. Be in the here and create in the now. You only have here now, so live it up! And live it down. Live it all around. Be it and do it. Be all that you can be without joining the army. You are the power and this is the hour. Know yourself and don’t blow yourself up. Be true and be real but there are things that you conceal. Not everyone wants to know everything but you have to tell them something. So what’s goin’ on? What’s happenin’ brother? Why don’t you give us a call?
