We’re in the final throes, if you will, of the old moon, as it
aligns with the Sun tomorrow morning and sets you off in a new direction
or with a new destination, maybe a new residence, redirected attitude,
or a different focus, it’s time to redefine what you need. Everyone
has a unique set of needs that reflect who they are on an emotional
level and few understand that because it’s the part people tend
to protect. Instincts are designed to help you survive but you need
to pay attention to the messages they send you, no matter what they
say. We’re in a Moon Wobble period, which can cause strange and
unexpected results with people we weren’t expecting to encounter.
It’s like a surreal version of your life is unfolding and you
don’t know how to straighten it out. Just let it ride out and
in due course it will be fine.
Cancer
is the home and family sign and yet many people are actually afraid
of commitment and all the responsibilities it represents. It comes from
the immaturity that a needy and clingy person who was over-coddled or
excessively sheltered might have. In these days, it’s easy to
understand how one can feel so insecure, with wages lower than expenses,
negative savings, personal debt mounting and people in trouble are selling
off their assets, including their homes. With the high number of houses
on the market, the selling prices have leveled off, even beginning a
decline. Of the investments that are out there, at this time go for
the gold rather than real estate. First time homebuyers can forget it,
unless they’ve just won the lottery or benefited by an inheritance
of large proportions. The deck has been stacked by the upper class against
the middle and lower classes to prevent them from advancing economically
and it has been in the last 5 years that it has reached disastrous dimensions.
During the last quarter century, the RRR has been tearing down the unions
and financial protections that have been in place since the FDR New
Deal. It’s easy to see why. They want to restore the past and
its bad old days of slavery, no rights for women and minorities and
all the people in charge will be rich, white men from conservative Christian
backgrounds. Most things of the past, in terms of civil rights and social
mores, are well dead and buried in the past but we have to remember
them.
History
is a Cancer subject, yet many Crabs, like GWB and Rummy can’t
seem to remember their own history let alone the US and World history
that would give them perspective and insights into how the world worked
and why they are destroying it for ideological reasons. They must be
manifesting the negative influence of their opposite sign, Capricorn,
in wanting to have power and authority, dominating all they see while
rationalizing their actions based on some moral superiority. He who
ignores history is fated to repeat it. You make it much harder on yourself
by disavowing your actions because then you are trying to avoid karma
and you can’t do that. Sure, the victors write the histories but
can you imagine what the history of the West would be if told by an
American Indian? There was a civilization living in harmony with the
land and nature, somewhat nomadic, depending on the time of year for
hunting and gathering, a tradition of thousands of years. Then they
were invaded and everything changed.
We
went from living with the land to exploiting it for anything and everything
we could, sending the price of things through the roof. We have driven
most of the manufacturing out of the country and have increased the
gap between the lowest wage earner and the highest. This is not a formula
for national success, since now most of the wealthiest companies are
in the financial industrial sector of the new market-driven economy,
since federal regulations have all but disappeared. It’s odd that
they want to regulate love and marriage, which only affects two people,
generally, but they are paid off by huge corporations to look the other
way when EPA or anti-trust violations are running rampant. This is why
I would like to see Elliot Spitzer as the next Attorney General, since
these past two, Gonzales and Ashcroft have shown screwed up priorities
and hidden agendas in covering for the corrupt administration and even
congress. The only way to solve this is by winning a majority in the
midterms. They have gotten to the voting machines because the Diebold
company is owned by staunch Republicans. They have gotten into the banking
records of Americans, ostensibly to follow the funding of terror cells,
but intruding into the right to privacy. In fact, Diebold makes ATMs
and bank vaults, as I have seen them at my bank. This is a scary thought,
if you think about it. The company that offers access to your money
controls whom you vote for, in a way. So with voting machines made by
this company, you can’t tell if your vote was counted or if it
was changed to the Republican. Diebold must die.
Rigged
elections isn’t okay in Third World countries and it’s even
worse here, the alleged bastion of democracy. Then you have illegal
gerrymandering of congressional districts to favor job permanence, making
congressmen more entrenched and less likely to be for the people than
their agendas, which often include corporate contributors and the favors
that must be given to balance the books. You don’t get fat on
the hill by working for the people you represent. Favors are the unspoken
currency among fat cat, pork barrel politicians and the lobbyists who
cling to them as the remora clings to the shark. It’s not as cozy
as it was before the Jack Talk began, as lobbyists will have to keep
their hands in their pants, so to speak. Personal fortunes can get some
members into the governing body, while others get in to congress to
make their fortunes and that’s not the way it should be at all.
These are the people who make our laws and should also have to live
by the same. If they were making minimum wage as a freshman congressperson,
they would certainly raise their salaries at the first opportunity.
Yet they won’t give a poor citizen a fighting chance. The current
min-wage totals about 10 grand in a year, which goes faster than you
can sneeze. If you want a better job, you need a good education and
they have made that more difficult to attain, both financially and at
the attention deficit level that’s rampant, making subjects less
challenging and much less interesting than when I went to school.
It’s
really bizarre what the congress has been spending its time debating
of late. I can understand the war issues but the debate gets framed
in such a way that no results will come of it, which is how the GOP
wants it. When you engage in a war to drain the treasury and you still
have money to pay the paperboy, then you haven’t done your job.
Actually, our debt is owed to China, South Korea and Japan, making it
that much more important to eat rice with chopsticks. Congressional
debate has taken on the gay marriage issue and gay adoption without
looking at the facts, just their own, bible-infiltrated personal background.
No one can guarantee that a relationship will work unless you have a
really good astrologer whose specialty is relationship issues. Some
will never work out while others have a stamp of authenticity that proclaims
‘this is a love that will last and has lasted for lifetimes.’
Only when you have a feeling of a deep friendship, respect, acceptance
and understanding can you really have a good marriage.
<Marriage
of Figaro>
Marriage isn’t for everyone and shouldn’t be forever…one
person can’t provide everything you need and shouldn’t have
to. We have many aspects to our personalities and can’t possibly
reveal them all in the process of courtship. There are several soul
mates for each person and what happens if someone is able to hook up
with two of them in one life is anyone’s guess…especially
at the same time. The whole ‘one man-one woman’ concept
of marriage is sickening to be limited thus. There are marriages made
in heaven that have nothing to do with families or romantic partnerships,
but rather businesses or teammates creating a perfect marriage of physical
ability, skills and techniques to generate more balance, precision and
effectiveness in business than any partner might have had on their own.
Maybe by seeing marriage as a merger, then it’s easier to see
more than one entity being involved with one other at a time. There
are polygamous relationships that, if each spouse has a fair share and
vote on things, it can be quite rewarding. Perhaps one woman wants to
stay home raising children while one woman wants a career and the man
or men may also have some choice in the matter. When I first started
doing readings professionally, I came upon a group marriage of three
women who were all Sag and two men who were both Taurus. At first I
wondered at the connection between the Sun signs and decided due to
their connection to nature, it fit and with multiple outlets for sexual
expression, there was less desire to stray, especially when you were
already connected to people of common interests and desires.
Not
all relationships are created equal and not all situations are resolved
with any kind of ease, as in the case of the Katrina survivors or our
troops in Iraq. Families living in FEMA trailers nearly got evicted
this week but got a reprieve. There are still many people who haven’t
returned to New Orleans and maybe they can make a go of it elsewhere
by bringing a taste of New Orleans cooking to whatever community they
may live in now. What a business opportunity, if they can get the financing!
Most of those people will have a hard time getting a fresh start because
of the obstacles put up by the Bush league politicos that have been
privatizing our government services out. Even in Iraq, your taxpayer
dollars can’t afford the best soldiers or equipment, since the
private contractors hire ex-servicemen who work for Blackwater and protection
companies like it and they get the best armor and Kevlar vests and helmets
that money can buy. This is the corporate government at work, where
they cut services and increase their advertising expenses to say how
well they’re doing, and everyone is fine except for the people
on the bottom. Everything that’s bad about a corporate takeover
of the government has or will come to pass. Any continuation of business
without regulation will result in the termination of our existence on
this planet. For this reason, you must urge everyone you know who is
not rich to never vote Republican again! The GOP believes in poverty,
will never fix it or fund it, believing that the poor, ignorant, uneducated,
unemployed people must remain that way. Few alternatives beckon them
but crime, prostitution and drugs and there are few ways out of that
path without a humanitarian state government that believes in treating
the problem, not burying it with bullshit agendas.
Cancer
is about needs and comforts. You have to be able to afford to take care
of your family and raising the minimum wage would be a start so that
mothers taking a part time job or teenagers trying to grow up can have
some economic security. Not that you could live on even 10 bucks an
hour these days, as that’s less than 20 grand a year after deductions.
Republicans are keeping it from passing because they are tied into the
business community that doesn’t want to increase wages, which
is why the government has to regulate and do oversight and this administration
has done neither. Finances are a part of any economy, personal, business
or governmental and taxes are the way we pay for government worker salaries
and services, along with defense, which brings me to another fork in
the road. Cancer rules defense and the Department of Defense used to
be called War until WWII and we had never invaded a foreign country
without provocation before Iraq. Thus the name can revert to its former
title, the War Dept.
Earthquakes
of major impact are ahead and should already be upon us without warning
any minute, according to the daily paper. It’s been 250 years
since the last big one in So Cal, which was 7.7, as if the 6.6 Northridge
quake was nothing. It concerns me that we are unprepared for a catastrophe,
as we have seen with Katrina and the aftermath. FEMA was downsized and
outsourced to 3rd World country operations, perhaps, or there were too
many links in the chain that weren’t rusty, they were deliberately
sabotaged. Some inside GOP operatives weakened the structure and sold
off supplies to private companies who could then rake in enormous profit.
Get the corruption out by weeding out the cronies and the only way to
do that is by impeaching the top two executives after winning the midterms.
If the big one hits us, I would not like to see a lot of people homeless,
thirsty, hungry and angry with their government that let them down.
One
government that’s really trouble, North Korea and its crazy leader
Kim Jong Il, an Aquarius, have the US in their sights and may launch
a missile at us, just because he’s crazy. What kind of crazy am
I talking about? The Sun square Uranus, Mercury retrograde square Mars
angry kind with Moon in Pisces delusional square with Jupiter to blow
it out of proportion. We would have to shoot down their missile and
they might decide to retaliate but I wouldn’t advise it. Have
you ever seen Dr. Strangelove? Maybe instead of protecting kids from
violent video games, they should make games that are more about what
people who do the real killing would be learning on. Simulators, they’re
called and if you train these kids to fly planes and fire weapons of
various types, you will be preparing them for the real world. Unfortunately,
our government supplies our troops with defective weapons and minimal
armor, so they’re sitting ducks out on a convoy. The problem comes
when there is abuse of the system wherein, like Ender’s Game,
a classic sci-fi book where kids are killing the enemy thinking it’s
a simulation. Many congress members play computer games, like Joe Barton
of TX, who can’t seem to master Civilization. Hmm, no doubt!
As
for not knowing how to conduct a war, this crew leads the way. Hey Rove,
it was Democrats who finished WWII and it was Republicans who cut and
ran in Korea and Vietnam. Study your history before you open your fat
mouth. Wait a minute…didn’t you dodge the draft, Karl? Talk
about cutting and running, which is what he did with his education.
His have always been the politics of fear and deception, (Saturn and
Neptune squares to his Capricorn planets) as he has lied, confused and
misled the American public all during his long and despicable career,
if you can call it that. It’s more like slithering from one slimy
deed to the next on his descent back down the evolutionary ladder to
the serpent he is. So much of what he says about Democrats might actually
be true of himself, as we are often prone to revealing our own foibles
when we berate others. My suspicion is that his reason for targeting
homosexuals is because of his own desires for gay, bald reporters who
get into the White House whenever they want a story or get it on with
Karl and Dick and maybe even the prez. Avoiding the reality factor is
something Rove has used all his life either because he just doesn’t
understand what this world is all about or because he does and is taking
advantage of the darker side as much as he can. He doesn’t get
that we are all part of the family of Mankind and the human race needs
to prevent the destruction of its habitat. It’s what any intelligent,
enlightened species would do. It’s a Cancerian thing to do, to
take care of your home and family.
There’s
family of a different kind, as the Mafia has had extensive roots for
a long time and deep connections to both parties. I can just imagine
GHWB sitting young Georgie down in his Washington Office and introducing
him to his friends. ‘Here’s the President and some of his
staff, Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney, people I think you’ll learn
to get along with when you figure out what your supposed to do in this
family.’ Rummy dresses like a gangster with the old style pin
stripe suits and I can’t wait for the black shirt look, but I
doubt it will happen. Cheney could have been played by Brando a while
ago but he’s too old and while Cheney looks older, he’s
only 5 years older than Bush. Then there’s the conciliere, Alberto
Gonzales, who certainly covers up the crimes his boss and his cronies
commit. Don’t forget that every cabinet post has someone from
the industry or sector that needs to be regulated doing the regulating.
It’s like asking the criminals to go out on an honor system and
commit no crimes. It just can’t work like this. We need to pull
Al Gore back into the political debate instead of letting him hop around
the world just talking to people on stage. I have a scene in mind where,
like Michael in Godfather III he says, “Every time I try to get
out, they keep pulling me back.”
<The Godfather>
James
Sensenbrenner is from WI and is worried about immigration? Who got to
him? His voting pattern has changed in the last couple of years. Is
it Tancredo who’s kissing up to him? I believe they are stalling
progress on any real reform so they can make it more of an election
issue. If you pass a law before then, there’s nothing to debate
except how someone voted. Legislative Limbo is the dance they do when
they don’t really want to do anything or they can’t get
anything done. These are people running for re-election with the rate
of incumbency at 98% and it’s a waste of taxpayer’s money
and time to vote for a foregone conclusion. Where is the excitement
of a congressional race if they are decided before they are run? Why
not have consecutive term limits and make it four terms of two years,
the equivalent of a two-term president? With term limits, you sweep
out the old and welcome the new, getting some much-needed new blood
in the hallowed halls of stale cigar smoke left over from the Nixon
days. If a congressman wants to re-up, he needs to work among the people
at jobs real citizens do for one year before beginning to campaign for
office again. They have to understand what real people in business do…and
no lobbying firms or defense contractors, as real people don’t
do that.
David
Safavian was convicted in the Abramoff-affiliated federal case. He worked
closely with Grover Norquist, the anti-government nut job, to destabilize
the American economy. They are prime Neo Cons establishing a corporate
mentality to running government, which means they don’t care about
rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They only care
about having control over the entire world and the way it runs. But
these people are delusional and ill-advised by brilliant idiots like
Norquist, who then bring about the collapse of an economy with nothing
substantial to put in its place. I was unable to find out Safavian’s
birth info, only that he was born in 1967 but I have Norquist and he
has Pluto square the Scorpio/Taurus nodes and Venus opposite Mars, so
I don’t think he gets a lot of dates.
The Miami Heat won the NBA title and Shaq and Pat Riley are happy men.
They have both won multiple times before with the Lakers, who are now
the fakers. Pat and Shaq are also both Pisces who have moved from one
beautiful coastal beach city to another but traded the rare earthquake
for the regular hurricane. Having little in common in their charts except
their Sun and Mercury signs, it’s hard to see how they could have
even played the same sport. Riley, having been a guard, would have a
different physical and mental approach to the game and he wasn’t
as strong as Shaq down low by the basket. I much prefer that they won
it instead of Dallas, as I have no love for Mark Cuban and have despised
his anger on the court for a while now. Funny thing is that he’s
born the same day and year as my Leo the lawyer brother with whom I
have had a stormy relationship, especially as kids, liking him least
among my siblings. The thing that bugs me about their character is the
smug ego of superiority and the fact that they are self-made men from
humble beginnings, so act like they’re better than everyone else.
Still, my Leo brother is the only sibling who has been divorced, following
in the footprints of our parents.
Dan
Rather leaves CBS, rather acrimoniously, but then he’s a Scorpio,
with Mercury and Venus there as well and Pluto in the 3rd, perfect for
an investigative reporter, just the kind of journalism that might be
deadly to the lying-est administration in history. Naturally, if he
was going after them, they would get him first with their dirty tricks
and games, since they have the heads of all major broadcasting corporations
in their pocket. It’s so hard to stick it out when what you’re
holding onto doesn’t really exist, as you knew it. When news people
look back at the 70’s, they see the golden age of investigative
reporting. That all ended when the era of Reagan’s revolution
that allowed corporations to take control of our country and presided
over a government that was operating covertly to destroy two enemies
by pitting them against each other and arming both sides of the Iran-Iraq
War, among other horrific mis-deeds. Reagan covered for the evil that
Poppy Bush was committing with Iran-Contra, Grenada and other invasions.
Remember the Savings and Loan scandals? It was all under Reagan’s
watch as the Bush kids were in on the cleaning out of private fortunes.
But that wasn’t enough, so now they are cleaning out the US Treasury
and borrowing so much money that it will be the end of time on Earth
for humans before we can pay it all back. With that lovely thought,
let’s go to the famous and fabulous.

6-24 E. I. Dupont was a chemist who developed expanded uses for gunpowder
from his manufacturing center in Delaware. He was born in the years
before the Revolutionary War in France and came to America at the turn
of the 19th century, as his Moon in Sag indicates a long-distance move.
It makes an inconjunct to the Sun, causing him some stress and anxiety
but that could have to do with a neurological problem as indicated by
the Uranus/South Node conjunction with squares from Mars and Saturn
in Leo, an indication of irritation and pressure on the brain, perhaps,
but it was his heart that caused his death at 63, while his wife had
died 6 years earlier. The man was always thinking about new things,
as his Mercury in Gemini was sextile Saturn to put the ideas into reality
and the square to Neptune for the imagination to go with the flow to
get him there. Much of the key to his personality may be found in the
Uranus on the South Node trine Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Virgo.
This is the grand trine in Beethoven’s chart but by the Declaration
of Independence, only the Neptune/Pluto trine is still there. Venus
in Gemini makes an out-of-sign trine to Jupiter, bringing in the wealth
and sharing it with the poor and needy.
6-25
George Orwell is the author of the classic book, 1984, ironically dated
only 22 years too soon, although many of the techniques used by the
Reagan/Bush administration show evidence that they were implementing
the book’s philosophies. Many Sci-Fi writers have written about
perfect societies but this is a dystopia that I wish we could turn off.
I read it back in the 70’s but it’s the next one on my reading
list. As for his chart, his Sun, Moon and Neptune are all very tightly
conjoined in early Cancer but they square Mars in Libra on the North
Node, so he certainly had issues with anger, addiction and impatience.
The Grand Trine of Mercury in Gemini to Mars and Saturn in Aquarius
allow much of that energy to be channeled into his writing. Jupiter,
the planet of philosophy, perspective, wisdom, truth and vision of the
bigger picture is in Pisces, for the imagination and psychic insight
it takes to resonate with an entire planet for more than half a century
so far. The Jolly Giant squares the opposition of Uranus in Sag and
Pluto in Gemini, which all have to do with Science Fiction/fantasy/political
satire among other genres. Venus in Leo is sextile Pluto as the only
aspect and has to do with sexual proclivities that involve narcissistic
encounters, so he may have had a gay old time.

Greg LeMond is the former 3-time champion of Le Tour de France. Before
there was a Lance Armstrong, there was America’s best cyclist
winning in France for us, despite his French-sounding name, as he was
born in Southern California. He also has Moon in Sag, and I place it
in the 3rd, as he needed to travel to ride his bike in competition with
his peers, and that would have to do with the 3rd. The aspect of the
athletic champion, however is revealed in his Mars exactly on the North
Node conjunct Uranus in Leo, with Mars also just 7 degrees from Pluto
as well. His Sun/Mercury retrograde made him think about his goal everyday,
all the time and the trine they make to Neptune made him believe in
himself and his mission. Finishing out a grand trine is Chiron in Pisces,
making his quest a dream that he tenaciously felt he had to achieve
and so he did. Venus in Taurus square Uranus makes having close, intimate
relationships difficult because there are other things preoccupying
him, like winning a bike race…only the most prestigious one in
the world! His special mission is indicated by his Yod and mapped out
by his Jupiter in Aquarius with inconjunctions to Pluto sextile the
Sun/Mercury. Athletic pinnacles can be reached by this high-energy quality
as it constantly tries to improve. If I have his time correct, his nodes
are in the 11th and 5th, as the North strives to compete in the mainstream,
international stage and overcome the stage fright of his previous life.
His Jupiter square Neptune shows a potential for overindulgence in some
addictive thing, but that could also be his sport as an over-compensation
for whatever is lacking in his life…sex, as Mars is inconjunct
Saturn. Hmm and you thought it was easy to get laid for even one-time
stars.

Ross Perot was the short, self-made billionaire who ran for president
in the ’92 and ‘96 elections. A triple Cancer, he certainly
was tenacious and had a belief that he was what was needed for America,
instead of Bill Clinton. We may have done okay but wouldn’t have
had such a distraction as Monica-Gate. Ross has Sun opposite Saturn,
so was the Rodney Dangerfield of the family, never getting any respect.
His brilliance and innovative ingenuity are illustrated by Mercury in
Gemini, which for all its repetition is in a sextile to Uranus, the
planet of original ideas that are uniquely expressed. His Sun conjoins
Jupiter for the luck and prosperity that he’s made and his Moon
conjunct Pluto opens the dark closet door into the family business,
which has a corrupt tint to it. Jupiter rising just before the Sun is
what might have motivated him to try his hand at politics. But the powers
that be won’t let anyone from outside the clan be president.

Mel Brooks is one of the all-time genius comic directors, so there has
to be some kind of eccentric genius aspects that separate him from the
rest of the pack. What individualizes him to make him so weird? Moon
in Aquarius and Mercury in Cancer exactly trine Uranus in Pisces and
they are at the final degrees of their respective signs. Expressing
depression and frustration, insecurity and self-doubt, the Moon square
Saturn in Scorpio shows the death of a close loved one, recently, his
late wife, Anne Bancroft. Venus sextile Uranus along with the Moon shows
his wife to be his best friend. Venus in Taurus square the opposition
of Jupiter in Aquarius and Neptune in Leo shows high expectations and
indulgences and great disappointments and losses of money and people.
This may trigger his Sun/Pluto square Mars in Aries, which is part of
the physical comedy and explosive anger that comes out of his life and
work. The Sun/Pluto may also have psychological ramifications in his
work, so you might try digging under the jokes and see what’s
there.

Rafael Kubelik is the great Czech conductor who was exiled from his
homeland while the Communists were in power. He went back in 1990 to
record Ma Vlast, “My Country” by countryman Smetana, with
the Czech Philharmonic in what must have been an emotional homecoming.
Near as I figure it, he’s a double Cancer with Moon in Virgo in
the 3rd house, making home always on his mind and planning a return
when it would be possible. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989 and he was home
in ’90. That’s the determination of a Cancer. Creating depression
and frustration, Moon square Saturn could have been the aspect in his
chart that limited his ability to get home for 40 plus years. Mercury
closely conjunct Neptune in Cancer would give him a great musical memory,
which, considering the vastness of music, you would need. Neptune rules
his North Node and Mercury rules the South Node, so has done lots of
musical work in previous lifetimes. It’s common among conductors
to have a great memory. Moon and Mars in Virgo gives a driving need
for precision and exactitude, as musical notation can be quite complex.
Mars sextile Pluto intensifies his passion for precision and hard work.
Venus in Leo opposite Uranus in Aquarius would attract a lot of interesting
and unusual people to him, as it is the love-at-first-sight aspect.
Jupiter in Aquarius trine Saturn in Gemini gave him multiple successes
and opportunities galore, as he was also a composer, as well as a great
conductor. For having his North Node in Pisces trine his Sun, I’d
say he lived up to his potential and fulfilled his karma.

Esa-Pekka Salonen is a composer and the conductor of the LA Phil who
came in as the boy wonder and now, nobody wonders about the boy would
be king of Disney Hall. His Moon in Sag conjunct Saturn is the perfect
example of one who needs to relocate a long distance from home for business
reasons. The Moon trine Pluto gives depth, intensity and power to his
music, both of his own creation and his interpretations as conductor.
The Moon in Sag can be wild as a child and inconjunct Mercury it was
hard for him to talk it out. His instrument was the French Horn, so
he could be loud and obnoxious with Mars in Aries opposite Jupiter but
Saturn came to control that upon maturity as he went along with the
responsibilities that go with it. He was forced to grow up earlier than
normal for a conductor when he filled in for an ailing big-name conductor
(it might have been an aging Lenny Bernstein) and blew the audience
away with a fresh Mahler 3rd like they had never heard. Mercury square
Jupiter may cause big ideas and large canvases to be broadly painted
with huge concepts that get out of hand. The Moon/Saturn must balance
this scattered energy by keeping him focused. Sun trine Neptune gives
that natural musical flow but can slip-slide all over the place without
restraint, but he’s got that covered. It might be a little hard
on his relationship, wherein he’s married, or at least was when
he came to LA in 1992. Venus square Pluto can destroy a marriage with
suspicion and financial improprieties and even infidelity. His Juno,
the marriage asteroid, is exactly conjunct Uranus, so anything can happen
there and his Venus conjoins Hygeia, indicating an unhealthy relationship,
plus they form an inconjunct to Neptune, which would give up such illusions
after a period of stress. Moon/Saturn wants to stay, hold on and control
but has the fear of holding too tight that could be stifling.

The
New Moon tomorrow, the 25th, promises some positive things, as it trines
Jupiter, which in turn trines Uranus, so there will be some relief or
benefits for the American People as a result of this…eventually.
But the House is not in order and in order to make it so, we have to
clean house in November. Anyone who has been there too long and doesn’t
do anything good or progressive should be voted out of office. One Rep.
from Texas, a crook and liar named Joe Barton, plays computer games
all day long, when he isn’t taking bribes and doing favors for
cronies. The New Moon for DC has Pluto in the 4th house and it could
render some House members very vulnerable to corruption charges, which
these days is like a prison sentence. Let’s just hope Bush doesn’t
have the power to pardon these criminals and that can only happen if
he’s impeached. Listen, the international courts want to try him
as a war criminal. We had him stopped in ’04 in Ohio, except for
the corrupt Sec’y of State who was also Bush’s Ohio campaign
manager and he’s running for governor in November. Ohioans need
to stop his bullshit machine. We all have to pay more attention to what
affects us, like politics, since we are the governed and we have to
consent to them governing us, so if a congressman or woman is lying
or cheating or on the take, you have to take them out of office. It
is your duty as an American to be part of the process of government,
as it shouldn’t be something that happens to you. Next week will
be the big patriotic show, with marches and fireworks and all. Get your
house in order this week and I’ll talk to you next Saturday, same

Father’s Day is tomorrow and I covered this topic last year, especially
with the analysis of the Saturn opposition to Chiron, the wounded father/leader.
This year isn’t much different except that now Jupiter is square
the Mars/Saturn conjunction, so we’re facing a different set of
issues. This could be the promise breaker because he’s too busy
to take on all his familial duties, like enjoy a day at the ballpark
or go hiking or to the beach. The day has Sun opposite Pluto square
to the Moon in Pisces, thus indicating the breakup and breakdown of
the family unit and the negative effect it has on the kids. It might
also be the effect on the country of the corruption that affects them
personally. Also, how much does one’s personality change when
they expose themselves to the enticement of a sexually intimate relationship
and how much of that is a good thing? These questions may or may not
get answered in today’s show, but stay tuned anyway. In the newsmakers
and Earthshakers segment I’ll be looking at John Murtha, Venus
Williams, Paul McCartney, Prince William and Diane Feinstein who are
celebrating birthdays this week. I’ll also see why Billy Preston,
who played with the Beatles, died last week.
The
Summer Solstice is a high-energy day as the Sun reaches its peak of
dominance and the days are at their longest in the northern hemisphere.
On Wednesday morning, the Sun enters Cancer, crossing the latitude bearing
its name. For the next six months, it’ll maintain a slow and steady
southward heading, turning north in December, which is why there have
always been celebrations in December. The Solstice occurs at 5:26 AM
PDT when the Sun reaches the Tropic of Cancer at 23 degrees North Latitude.
Cancer is about Family and considering marriage as the entry into that
experience, Colorado has just ruled that a 15 year-old girl can get
married, common-law, as has been the practice for hundreds of years,
but didn’t rule whether they already had a valid marriage. In
the last hundred years, or at least since the advent of child labor
laws in the early 20th century, we have become increasingly protective
of our children, making up for centuries of exploitation and abuse with
the over-reaction of guilty parents. We have extended their childhood
up to 18 and in some cases, 21. Even at this late time in history, children
are now choosing to extend it further by living at home after college
to save money. I can’t judge for others but I know I was ready
at 20 to step out on my own, mainly for personal space and freedom,
no matter how difficult it was at times. I lived on my own and with
roommates at various times, as the growth of my spirit directed. I lived
by my wits and knowledge, by instinct and intuition, adapting when and
where necessary. Every situation had its lessons and its benefits, so
I learned a lot about how to get along with people to whom I was not
related. The stifling thing of family dynamics is the arrested development
that prevents one from having fully formed relationships. Astrologically,
the Saturn opposition to its natal place at 14 and a half is the beginning
of maturity that culminates at the return at 29. In between, at 21,
we commonly are forced by the square of Saturn to its natal place and
Uranus doing the same, to breakaway from the limitations of authoritarian
domination or institutional confinement. It’s supposed to be a
time of liberation and freedom to find yourself, exploring what you
are capable of for the next 7 years.
Home
and security issues also belong to Cancer, so when the Supreme Court
rules that the police can barge in if they have a search warrant; it
violates the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in
your own home. It would have gone the other way if they had voted when
Sandra Day O’Connor was still on the bench. Our homeland defense
has become an offensive against homeland dwellers. Does anyone know
who we are really fighting and why? Where is the war and what are the
priorities? As we enter the sign of Cancer on Wednesday, the Moon is
in Taurus, illustrative of the financial and economic burdens weighing
heavily on the shoulders of soldiers and the average individual. Income
has decreased in the last five years as prices have skyrocketed, especially
on gas and health care as well as education. Because so much of this
country runs on gas, the increased prices have a tidal wave effect on
the economy.
Sun
Opposite Pluto might suggest the deadly effects of the sun. Well, a
49-year old lady from Iowa was catching some rays on the beach when
she was run over and killed by a beach patrol SUV in Oxnard. Another
part of the world has a different experience, as the Siberian permafrost
is melting and exposing decomposing Wholly Mammoths that smelled bad
enough when they were alive. The worst part is that it contributes to
an already major CO2 global problem. The Sun/Pluto aspect also deals
with corruption, which leads me to the world of politics and I can’t
believe Karl Rove won’t be indicted…yet. It’s only
a matter of time before they figure out how many illegal scams he’s
been behind. They must have gotten to Patrick Fitzgerald. Since Rove
wasn’t the leaker, it had to come from higher up and you can’t
go much further unless it’s the VP or the prez. Time to Impeach!
On
Monday, Uranus turns retrograde and Mars squares Jupiter, which could
translate to a reckless intergalactic trip that goes through some bumps,
since Stephen Hawking said the only hope for mankind is to find suitable
planets and colonize them. What if they are already taken or occupied
by the Silons or some other species, either hostile or not? Can we really
expect a world that’s ripe for human habitation that hasn’t
already been colonized? Even when we find a suitable planet, the distance
we would have to travel to get there would make it a multi-generational
journey unless we were to receive the knowledge of light speed travel.
Only an alien race would be able to help, unless it’s someone
from our future, as in The 4400. I know it sounds crazy, but that’s
Sci-Fi, indicated by today’s Moon/Uranus conjunction.
Speaking
of craziness, how about the 1.4 billion in FEMA money that went for
entertainment indulgences, DVD’s, shopping sprees and even a sex
change operation. Money even went to prison inmates and a total of about
1,500 hundred people might be joining them if they can prosecute them
all for fraud. The Sun/Pluto opposition has a lot to do with fraud,
too. It was a system easy to play because these GOP operatives want
to bankrupt our treasury in order to destroy the government from within.
Why can’t anyone see this? As you give out all kinds of free money
to Iraqi contractors or Katrina victims, if you don’t keep track,
you get screwed. No accountability on this administration’s part
and no one takes the blame as theY move around the deck chairs on the
Titanic. Rove dodges indictment, our troops kill Zarqawi and Bush’s
poll numbers go up, even though he did nothing. Did you also know we
could have gotten Zarqawi 3 years ago? Hmm.
It’s
been a tough week for Jerry Lewis. The entertainer had a heart attack,
while the congressman might get indicted, which could lead to a heart
attack for him, too. He’s awfully involved with people close to
Jack Abramoff and defense contractors because he’s the chairman
of the House Appropriations committee, which is where the money is disbursed.
The comedian was anxious because he was about start live performances
again and at his age, it’s a rough trade. The Sun rules the heart
and Pluto rules death and transformation, along with sex, taxes and
other people’s money. One can have a greater awareness of their
mortality when they are facing a Pluto aspect, as it squares his Sun/Uranus
conjunction in Pisces. More indicative of the heart attack is the transit
Uranus square to his progressed Sun/Mercury in Gemini, with the shortness
of breath rather than the stench of death. Now maybe later on this year
in November, Saturn squares his Saturn along with Pluto square his Sun/Uranus.
His soul knows it’s time for something new, as his minor Sun conjoins
the North Node near his natal Sun and his minor Mercury is the same
degree as in the natal. Even the minor Moon is on the natal North Node
this week, but that’s a double-edged sword, as the Moon also represents
the end of life as well as the beginning.
<Smile – R. Downey>
As
for the congressman of the same name, his progressed Moon is in Scorpio
in a square to his Saturn, so he’s very worried right now and
fear is bad for a campaigning politician to show to the public. With
his Sun sandwiched in between his Jupiter and the more distant Venus,
he’s been an opportunist. A Libra with Venus there on the Sun
opposite Moon in Aries, he’s always been torn between his instincts
to do what he feels he needs to do with what he thinks he should do
for others, even though he feels he can’t trust them. It’s
all topped off with a square to Pluto bringing in the corruption and
secret financial schemes where other people benefit but he doesn’t
get caught, except recently, when Saturn went over his South Node and
his reputation sank. There is also Uranus opposite his Neptune, which
can be interpreted as people of his district lacking faith in his work.
Mainly though, minor Saturn, the big cop who says stop, is opposite
his natal Sun. And dig this grave by yourself, Jerry, progressed Venus
exactly square natal Venus, so it was all about the money and bad choice
of companions. Lobbyists are the slime that is found on many with money.
Congress
has cut $95 million in funding for PBS and NPR, causing them to have
to cut programming, including that which targets early pre-school levels
to give them a head start. They want to make this country more ignorant,
despite their rhetoric. This is why you see Wal-Mart ads on PBS now,
because of withdrawn public financing from Bush and company. The plan
is to make people ignorant enough that they will think that religious
schools will substitute for education until they realize that it is
more indoctrination than instruction in the basic tools for intellectual
and social development. Under-funded public schools have a similar effect
of allowing higher dropout rates, lower test scores, fewer cultural
programs and field trips and less physical education. Our kids are leaving
school dumber and fatter than a generation ago…hell, even 6 years
ago!
They
want to take control of everything, which is the corporate mentality
they warned us they were bringing into play. Bush even stated that things
would be better if he were the dictator, just as a CEO is in the corporate
hierarchy. There is no consideration of the realities of the common
ordinary citizen because they don’t do reality in their high-class
hillbilly mentality. What we have here is the Frankenstein monster that
is part religious rightwing nutcase, lunatic fringe, with the mentality
that Jesus is returning and we’re all going to fly up to heaven
if we believe. One part is the Neo Con agenda to establish control over
the Middle East and Iraq was the place to begin. Another is to shrink
government to the size of a pea and crush it. Why they feel that a country
without government is a good thing is beyond me, but then, I’ve
been a Democrat since I could remember.
Mars conjoins Saturn in Leo, an arrogant, authoritative and pushy energy
that gives orders and can’t waste time. It happens to be right
on Bush’s ASC and Mercury/Pluto, so he thinks of it as a victory
march.
Two
years ago I knew gas prices would reach over 3 bucks a gallon…it
was the last time Mars and Saturn conjoined. Bush spoke of our addiction
to oil but hasn’t done anything to help us kick the habit. America
is also addicted to crystal meth and it’s perhaps now the worst
drug epidemic in the world, yet they still want to go after pot and
coke, which have so fewer negative effects and are from natural plants.
Here’s the difficult part to understand…we could end our
dependency on foreign oil and eliminate all petroleum for fuel if we
grew hemp and other plants good for fuel. Why do you think it won’t
happen with these bozos? Because of their ties to lobbyists and their
large industries that would take a hit economically if hemp were legal.
It’s a lineup of the usual suspects; energy, textiles, drugs,
timber and many other big business operations would be cut into severely
if hemp were to be used to its full potential. As a fuel, it could be
either Ethanol or biodiesel and as a building material, it would last
longer than wood and possibly, in the right compound, even steel. We
have so much potential as a nation if we see our country moving forward,
not mired in a quagmire of negative results.
Look
back at the chart of the first inauguration of Bush and you’ll
see war was a dominant theme (Mercury/Uranus square Mars in Scorpio)
and a lot of people would die because of the greed of a corrupt few.
All this could be seen in the Moon/Pluto conjunction square Venus in
Pisces. This even describes the 9-11 attacks and the administration’s
failure to do anything about it. The egotistical but delusional American
exceptionalism was expressed through the Sun/Neptune trine Jupiter in
Gemini. But the problem, I think is that the Moon/Pluto was on his South
Node, so he couldn’t help but pull all kinds of old tricks out
of the bag, thanks to his old buddy Turd Blossom Rove. Mercury/Uranus
are in the 11th at the time of the ceremony, exposing the deals with
his friends in the energy business to help them out, like Ken Lay. I
wonder if Bush will try to pardon Kenny boy? Perhaps you read the last
week’s Rolling Stone article by RFK Jr. about Bush stealing the
election in Ohio. I did and there were so many ways they cheated in
Ohio that it’s amazing that it hasn’t been all over the
news, although it was back in November 2004 but nobody listened. Kerry
didn’t even contest the election, even though he would have been
justified, but would have gotten a similar treatment as Al Gore in 2000.
We are engaged in a war of ideology and the RRR has to cheat because
God won’t fix the elections for them. If they won fair and square
that would be one thing…but to have to cheat to establish a minority
ruling party with great distrust from the people and then try to change
the constitution to make themselves favored by the religious freaks,
well that’s just wrong on so many levels.
There
are wars of defense, revenge, territory expansion, especially for resources
or strategic advantages, religion, political and economic, the last
of which we are waging right now. Actually, it’s all of the above
when you consider it. It will be the longest war other than Vietnam,
which lasted a decade, and despite the death of Zarqawi, the end is
nowhere near in sight. There are so many victims of this war but it
is having a global effect and the end result is the enrichment of the
oil companies and contractors, as they have been raking in record profits.
The war in Iraq began during the end of Pisces, using deception to cover
the real motives. Money, greed, power to control the Middle East and
to feed the beast of the military-industrial complex and oil barons.
They want to make it into more of a holy war, which will increase the
religious fervor felt on both sides. We have replaced one evil empire
with another, as the Soviet Union fell, the Jihadists have risen and
Osama went from fighting the Russians to fighting us. In the book, 1984,
the enemy may change but they are always at war, just like with these
guys. Does it have to take an end-times conflagration before people
awaken to the truth of the Christ within? Only when we live in the ways
of Jesus can we ever know Christ, just as many Muslims wish to live
the life of Mohammed. Live simply, pray and be fair and kind to others.
War is never the path to peace, just more war. Wars are often started
by cowards who can’t settle personal differences with intelligent
words or ideas that will offer a path to peace.
<Dogs of War - PF>
Can
you believe some GOP fools called Murtha and Kerry cowards? Republicans
who never served in the military or on active duty have the nerve to
call Murtha and Kerry cowards and have thrown down a rusty gauntlet.
Karl Rove has pulled old chestnuts out of his playbook because it’s
June, time of campaigning for the fall midterm elections and as such,
the game is afoot. Indeed, with the Gemini energy, game-playing, head-tripping,
I’m rubber, you’re glue bullshitting is going on at a rampant
pace. Rove has his Mercury retrograde and repetition is old news to
him. Plus, his Moon is in Cancer and he loves to hang on to the past,
filled with his memories of the way things should have been had his
imagination not been stifled by reality. You see, Neptune squares his
Sun and Moon very closely. Beating the dead horse, his lies will be
trumpeted by the legions of operatives who parrot talking points with
no understanding of the real-world crisis we face as a planet and as
a nation. John Kerry was no coward in Vietnam nor was John Murtha, whose
birthday is today.
<Newsmakers
and Earthshakers>
6-17 John Murtha is the former Marine who is a congressman from western
PA. Almost by himself, he’s revitalized the protest against the
war, an ironic twist of events for such a hawk and fighter as he is.
Or was. The reality of war is best understood by those who have fought
in them and he’s fought in enough of them to know the difference
between one worth fighting and one that has to be withdrawn from. With
Mars, ruler of war, conjoined to Chiron, Murtha knows about the wounds
of war and has quite a few of them buried in his memories. Moon in Sag
trine Jupiter in Leo and Uranus in Aries indicates he’s fairly
positive about his memories and experiences but needs to offer his opinions
based upon them to those who would go where most fools would fear to
tread. He’s now running for a leadership position in the party
and lookout, Nancy Pelosi, we could have this old vet leading the battle
cry to resolve the issue of Iraq by redeploying outside of the country.
Murtha has Venus retrograde in Cancer, so has diverted his desire for
close associations with people to the need to stand up for national
defense. Venus makes no major aspects, leading to conclusion that he
lacks close allies in his battles in congress. His Mercury in Cancer
is another reason defense is on his mind and the inconjunct it makes
to Saturn in Aquarius gives him the social responsibility to speak his
mind for the benefit of mankind. His Saturn is in an out-of-sign wide
trine to Mars, which fits the military leadership positions he’s
held. His Mercury sextile Neptune in Virgo gives him a military man’s
faith; that God looks after the good soldiers with the just cause and
protects them with true aim and a steady hand and heart. Saturn forms
an inconjunct to each of those, resulting in a Yod, giving him a special
mission to convey the soldier’s perspective of war on the men
who fight and die or who are wounded, maimed or who suffer from PTSD,
as not all wounds are visible. Uranus square Pluto is his birth into
a time of upheaval and war that changed the social realities of an entire
civilization. Pluto also trines the North Node in Pisces, an indication
that he’s making progress on the evolutionary ladder by making
sacrifices for the greater good. Mars was the oriental indicator in
his chart, signifying leadership and a military career, as he’s
had the fighter instinct in him for a long time.
6-17
Venus Williams is acknowledged as one of the great tennis players in
recent years and she has the heart of a champion. As I have mentioned
in the past, many Geminis have excellent eye-hand coordination and quick
reflexes and many great tennis players have been Gemini. Steffi Graf’s
birthday was just last week and Jennifer Capriati is also a Gemini.
With Venus, her work ethic is due to her father as indicated by the
Mars/Saturn conjunction in Virgo but the problems come from the squares
they make to the opposition of her Sun/Venus retro to Neptune, a sure
indication that sacrificing her love life for her career would be mandatory.
It was another way daddy could manipulate his girls into a life of subservience.
But Venus has Moon in Leo close to Jupiter in Virgo and the Moon is
square Uranus for a breakaway from the family dynamic. Venus is sharp
and smart, with Mercury trine Uranus, even brilliant in some ways, using
her mind and hands, but she’s also suspicious, with Mercury square
Pluto, so she doesn’t easily trust anyone sometimes not even her
sister. Serena is a Libra and also has made adjustments and compromises.
<When
I’m 64>
6-18 Paul McCartney had his chart examined last year but we could look
for a divorce aspect in the progression. He wasn’t the revolutionary
John was because with Moon/Mars/Pluto/Chiron in Leo, he was a lover,
not a protestor. Venus in Taurus brought that love into physical, tangible
terms with millions of dollars made on his music and his work with The
Beatles. The square between Venus and the Moon/Chiron shows some deep-rooted
relationship issues, despite his long-term love relationship to Linda.
At the time of his divorce proceedings or filing, I suppose, well, at
least right now, that it’s all very public, his progressed Moon
is in opposition to his natal Sun, stressing the emotional gulf from
who he is and square Neptune in his natal chart is his disappointment
and acceptance of being the victim of a huge financial hit because he
didn’t have a pre-nup. His minor Mars square his natal Sun and
progressed Moon irritates him no end because of that fact. Minor Venus
on his South Node emphasizes that further, showing money and love in
the toilet. Transiting Uranus is on his minor Mercury and opposite his
progressed Mercury with minor Uranus on his natal Mercury, so he needs
to talk with friends and astrologers on how to best rebound from this
hit on his pride and heart. The innate weakness is his Juno in Scorpio
that has minor Chiron right on it and is square Chiron natally, showing
a preference for the wounded types, whether physical as in Linda’s
case or emotional as in Heather’s. As Saturn passes over all his
Leo, it’s possible that love just went dry. Progressed Venus conjoins
Pluto and squares Juno and that’s the end of a beautiful thing.
Blind faith isn’t just a 60’s rock band, it’s something
certain people fall back into when they want to believe in something
of this world that they imagine is of another world. That sentence contains
a half a dozen references to Pisces, his South Node, thus the area of
his greatest weakness and also the source of his musical gifts. As minor
Venus square natal Uranus would predict, his relationship would abruptly
change and they would separate, even divorce. With the progressed Sun
square minor Jupiter and the progressed Moon in Sag with those difficult
aspects mentioned, it’s easy to see why he rode the emotional
roller coaster and has to be philosophical about it all. If only he
had faith…
Roger Ebert is the portly movie critic who outlived Gene Siskel despite
having multiple surgeries in recent years. Yet his marriage is strong
and lasting far longer than Paul’s. It could be the orb of the
Moon square Venus that equates to that difference.
6-19
Lou Gehrig, the Iron Horse, was the record holder of the most consecutive
games played until it was recently broken by the new endurance champ,
Cal Ripken. The reason for this steadiness is the grand trine that includes
Mercury in its own sign of Gemini, Mars in the cooperative sign of Libra
and Saturn in the team or group sign of Aquarius. He was able to connect
with his teammates because of his Moon trine Venus in the competitive
signs of Aries and Leo despite his Moon square Neptune that was due
to an overbearing Mother, hence the Aries Moon on the South Node. But
I believe it was his Mars square Neptune that caused him to be addicted
to baseball, which could also be his Moon square Neptune but it was
his sacrifices everyday, no matter how miserable he felt, that he went
out and played at the highest level of ability. The mutable T-Cross
of the Sun/Pluto opposite Uranus square to Jupiter in Pisces could be
construed as his playing himself to death but there’s also a theory
that it’s part of a genetic inherited trait that was a destined
thing for him to suffer through, so it would have a name that people
could become aware of and perhaps do something about. As he neared death,
he was losing motor functions and transit Neptune was at the empty spot
in his mutable T-Cross, plus Saturn squared his own Saturn and its polar
planet, Venus, eroding his balance, his bones and his structural integrity.
Moe Howard of the Three Stooges had Moon in Pisces opposite Jupiter
square Mercury in Gemini, which all fits much of the comedy he did.
He also had Neptune on his Sun, so he may have had an alcohol problem.
Why else would he be able to endure the stunts he had to do? Venus square
Mars shows relationships fraught with conflict and battles over money.
The depression era hit a lot of people hard but those guys didn’t
even get royalties for most of their work.
Paula Abdul I did last year.
6-20
Brian Wilson was born two days after Paul and with Moon in Virgo square
Saturn, depression got to him and caused drug addiction indicated in
the Pisces South Node.
Errol Flynn was last year, Martin Landau
6-21
Prince William is a double Cancer and was a real momma’s boy but
with Diana’s murder, he was deprived of that experience, so he’ll
keep his mother’s legacy alive in his work for poverty relief.
Neptune sits right on his Sagittarius ASC screaming for compassion and
social justice and it makes a Yod to Venus in Taurus and Pluto in Libra,
giving him a special mission to help people’s financial burdens
be forgiven from debt by the corrupt businesses and governments that
have lied, betrayed and taken advantage of those people for generations.
Mars/Saturn conjunction in Libra squares his Cancer/Cap nodes, so he’ll
have the issues with his dad and the whole of business and government
coming down on him when he’s king. Of course, daddy Charles wants
his shot but the old lady won’t die. Cheese and crackers, Gromit,
her mom lived to be a hundred! His chart shows some similarities to
Edward VIII and Henry VIII, but he would be William V, as there were
two Norman Williams, a Dutch William and an English William from the
Hanover line in the 19th century. Charles would only be the third one
to rule under that name.
Jean-Paul Satre also had been analyzed last year.
6-22 Diane Feinstein is a senator from California who is married to
money and yet has a liberal agenda as her Sun/Moon sextile Uranus reveals.
I am more concerned about her Mercury conjunct Pluto square Uranus,
as in following along with a corrupt line until enough of her constituency
protests and she bends to the left. She also has a special mission indicated
by a Yod of Saturn inconjunct the sextile of Venus and Jupiter, so she
has a social responsibility to all her people to improve their lots
in life.
Meryl Streep had her time in the limelight last year, Billy Wilder was
a great director.
6-23
Edward VIII abdicated to marry a commoner and since we looked at William,
we may as well look at a predecessor. Here was a man who couldn’t
live up to his destiny and chose to follow his heart, which makes sense
for his Moon in Pisces trine to his Sun and Uranus/Juno in Scorpio and
his Sun square the nodes. But it’s his Saturn near the South Node
that seems to indicate the lack of ambition. It may also have been the
circumstances of the 1936 global depression that inclined him to run
away with a hot sexy Gemini woman who had her Sun on his Jupiter, so
she made him feel great. His Jupiter, after all, was square Chiron,
so he saw government as dreadfully dull and didn’t want to be
a part of the ruling class compared with being in love. It could be
said that as Mars in Aries sits on the North Node and squares the Sun,
he didn’t care about following a proscribed path laid out for
him. He was going to do whatever he wanted to do and no one could stop
him. It doesn’t get much more explosive than Moon square Pluto
and it could have brought down a lot of people if his needs weren’t
met.
Alfred Kinsey was compared with the actor who portrayed him, Liam Neesom,
Bob Fosse, Ray Davies, Clarence Thomas was reviewed last year as well.
Billy
Preston, a Virgo musician who played in the last Beatles recording session,
died last week. Moon in Aquarius gave him that natural rhythmic instinct
that Mars/Jupiter trine Uranus elevated to virtual genius. Venus in
Scorpio square Saturn in Leo is problems with relationships, money and
kidneys, which was the cause of his death. In addition to his second
Saturn return, his progressed Moon in Taurus was square transit Saturn
as well as natal Saturn and Pluto. Topping it all off is the fact that
a bunch of planets are at 29 degrees, including natal Moon in Aquarius,
minor Mercury right on it and square Venus in Scorpio with minor Moon
right on it. Venus is the kidney issue and the Moon is the end of life.
You could tell it was just a matter of time before the kidney punch
got his ass as his natal Venus opposite Hygeia is squared by Saturn
and natal Ceres, which translates to a lack of taking care of his inner
organs. Right before he died, the progressed Moon was opposing Jupiter
indicating an overcompensation and indulgence in something that set
off a shut down of his kidneys. Here’s an interesting connection;
Hygeia in Taurus in the 2nd and Chiron in Libra in the 7th are both
Venus’ signs and houses with health concerns, so he was gonna
get it, one way or the other.
I
leave you with a song that he played on but also one that we need to
think about in its simplicity. When I look at the world that we have
created in the name of God and we say his creations are all good, I
wonder if we are lying to ourselves. If we want to give him credit,
then fine. Let it be as it must be.
<Beatles – Let It Be>

It’s a wild and crazy Full Moon in Sag near Pluto and the dirty,
disgusting truth will come out about the lies, corruption and cover-ups
of murders and rampages by the US Military. I don’t want to go
into the gory details but it involves boxes of severed heads and that’s
just not the topic to discuss with the Moon in good-humored, fun-loving
Sag. Pluto near the galactic center has brought about much of the damage
and corruption globally with business and politics, as Pluto rules insurance,
investments and all forms of other people’s money. Sag is political
and international, which is why there could be a big global economic
problem when the oil-based economy collapses.
There is a stark
contrast between the Plutonian darkness and the Gemini lightness and
it should be apparent in the way things have played out these days.
By Friday, the Sun opposes Pluto and the battle between light and dark
reaches a peak. In the northernmost latitudes, they are reaching their
all-day Sun holiday called Midsommer in Sweden, in the land of the midnight
sun. Northern Alaska will also enjoy a day without darkness, as it’s
part of the yearly cycle of the natural order of things. It’s
the result of spinning and tilting as we circle around the Sun. Repeating
cycles, year after year.
Programming and conditioning through repetition is the Gemini way.
Sometimes, however, the rules are changed, as when the Pentagon released
a new Army manual that has eliminated the Geneva Conventions guidelines
for the treatment of prisoners. It’s a Neo Con world out there
and we’re headed for trouble because the very principles upon
which this nation was constructed are being dismantled at a furious
rate.
Flag Day is a reason
they want to do a flag-burning amendment but the fact that Hillary Clinton
is somewhere or somehow behind it is a little surprising. It could be
a rumor, as so often happens in the press. It’s just another stupid,
can’t-win, too many downsides kind of thing. Al Franken suggests
making the flag out of the non-burnable material baby clothes are made
from. But there has only been one American burning the flag in the last
twenty-five years, as I recall, and they stopped ‘em then. This
is more of the same wag-the-dog distraction to take your attention off
any real dirty games they’re playing.
Last year at this
time, I did a piece on the differences between Democrats and Republicans,
so you can reference it in the archives at Leofish.com. This year I
think I’ll look at the difference between liberals of today and
those of forty years ago. Back then, there were real activists because
they had nothing and had nothing to lose. With TV news becoming a big
business, it was also a time when attention could be paid to important
issues that were televised. The media was seen as liberal because the
conservatives in power labeled them so when they are seen as intruding
on government secrets, there’s not as much backlash. Since way
back then, large corporate ownership of TV networks has precluded much
editorializing on the part of the newsperson and stations are more conservative
than ever, as it is also a reflection of the administration that runs
the FCC.
Thinking like an individual is a challenge when you are bombarded by
sayings, sales pitches and tired old marketing ploys. Then you have
the old chestnut, standards and practices.
The Mars/Saturn
opposite Chiron square Jupiter in Scorpio warrants discussion. I see
it as male domination slamming into a massive awareness of the woundedness
in which it is expressed. The judgments and insults about the ineffectiveness
of a leader these days is no surprise as it has been part of politics
for hundreds of years already. You can also see it as the hubris of
arrogant egotism without restraint and joking about the rapture and
the end of the world.
<REM>
I find it rather
intrusive to have other people determine what I think, do, say or feel
about myself or anyone else. The government can’t legislate love,
so hands off the gay issue. Therefore it is fitting that, once again,
the Senate failed to pass a gay-marriage ban from being put into the
constitution. They have so many other pressing issues to face. Aren’t
people more concerned about gas prices than they are gay marriage? How
about health care and early childhood education? Aren’t these
values to address? These people are so predictable now that you can
see the train coming from miles down the track. Faced with scandals
that closely touch the office of the president, he reaches out for an
old chestnut from the fear the queer campaigning that seems to be most
employed during election years
We’re so
often worried about what other people think about us but yet, you are
exactly what you have made yourself to become. There’s an old
Buddhist saying, “You are what you think, having become what you
thought.” You have been repeating many of the same thoughts and
patterns throughout many of your lifetimes. You have a few different
fields where you focus most of your lifetimes, for example, mine are
the arts and the occult, along with healing and medicine. I have been
an astrologer or used it heavily in at least 11 lifetimes, including
as a high priest of the stars in Egypt and Mayan and Incan as well.
I still think about those places and remember them despite never having
gone there in this life.
We are so compelled
to conform to our patterns that they are habits and addictions, really,
and the more we are aware of that fact, the more we can get beyond the
problem. The old astrologers said “The stars impel, they don’t
compel,” but Pluto is the planet of obsession and Jupiter rules
compulsions, so obsessive/ compulsive people come out more when they
are in mutual reception, as they are now.
Gender identity
issues are ruled by Pluto, as well as sex, rape and death, all of which
happened in this next example.
The Gwen Araujo Story coming to TV, is the story of a 17-year old transgender
who is beaten to death by a group a pindajos who felt dirty after getting
blowjobs and then finding out she still had her penis. It was almost
one year ago that the trial of her killers happened and they got some
serious time.
TransAmerica is out on DVD now and they use a GG in Felicity Huffman,
but I wonder about this new one about Gwen. I have been following that
story and wish that it would lead to greater awareness and acceptance
for a lot of people in a difficult transition.
The new Batwoman
comic book character is a lesbian, apparently aimed at sexually confused
or alternative men and women. I think it’s cool to inject some
sexuality into superheroes because saving the world is hard work and
you have to get a little release from all that tension.
Gender is a confluence
of sperm and egg determining the biological makeup of the fetus but
sometimes there is a little mix-up. I’ve encountered several XXY
chromosome people who are by all standards except genitally, female.
There are more of these births happening because there’s something
in the water, the foods or the environmental influences in several places
in the world. Indeed, some places are more prone to having transgenders
born, in many cases they are also multi- or at least bi-racial. A mixed
signal from God, from whom all things are good but what does it say
about infallibility about perfection of the human body and are variants
from the norm evolutionary or are they just mutations? Does the shape
of your penis determine how you feel about yourself sexually? Do you
really want to have boobs because you like them or because you feel
like a woman all the time? Are there questions you can’t ask anyone?
Believe or not, it really shouldn’t freak anyone out to discover
you have a desire for the opposite sex, since in previous lifetimes
we have been male and female and both hetero and at times bisexual,
even gay, depending upon the circumstances. Believe me, if you’re
in prison and have a disadvantage of size and weakness, you are someone’s
gay lover, bitch.
If you have a penis,
don’t pee if you’re sneezing, have the hiccups, coughing,
laughing, are too hard and aiming too high or are too flaccid and not
aiming at all.
Here’s a
little episode of gay or bi…
George W Bush has Mars in Virgo, so likes men in uniform, which Jeff
Gannon did as a male prostitute. What if Gannon is Bush’s Monica
Lewinsky? Bush’s Moon conjoins Jupiter and Neptune in Libra, the
bisexual sign, because they can’t make up their minds. His Venus
in the 1st in Leo is narcissistic, which applies to many who are gay,
and it sextiles both Uranus for kinky experimentation and Jupiter, for
adventure and expansion. Back in 1984, there was someone who provided
confidential male escorts to Mr. Bush as his progressed Sun conjoined
his Venus and his minor Moon conjoined natal Mars. Now it’s possible
that it was a phase that he went through but isn’t it also possible
that he’s so deep in denial and in the closet that not too many
people even suspect?
They like giving
America wedgies all the time but the more one rants against something
like homosexuality, the more in the closet they are themselves. Many
anti-abortionists may have regrets about their own abortions or someone
close to them but then this is a case of over-personalizing an issue
that it’s a private and personal one. Flag burning doesn’t
resonate with what the people of this land want. They want some accountability
in congress and to eliminate the corruption. They want our standing
in the world restored to its former glory. Our people are tired of fear-mongers
telling us to duct tape our windows with plastic sheeting as if that
will keep us safe in the event of a nuclear blast. You may as well crawl
under your desk, while you’re at it.
<Pomp and Circumstance>
Graduation time has many kids thinking about college and many trying
to figure out how to afford it, some opting to join the Army or National
Guard, which amounts to the same thing these days. So many high school
grads are unable to continue their scholastic careers for one reason
or another. While not everyone benefits economically from a degree,
it does usually equate to more money, prestige and success, but there
are always exceptions. Not every president graduated college and some
others were far from the top of their class, like our current demander-in-thief.
I looked upon graduation as liberation and validation, on the two sides
of it. Liberated from Philadelphia because I moved away after graduation
and validation because I was acknowledged for my talents as an artist,
singer, actor and all around fun guy. I did well in junior college but
was overly split in my junior year, commuting to CSULB from Venice and
working part-time to support myself in an apartment by the beach. School
is relatively safe compared to the real world but it’s also very
competitive although I didn’t buy into that premise enough. It’s
why I came to realize that a degree in Theater Arts wouldn’t get
me very far in the real world. Acting led me to the Renaissance Faire
and my first astrology teacher. Life is about connections.
I developed a craft
of making charts and the art of interpreting, so that my work was artistically
inspiring and intellectually illuminating. It’s hard to calculate
and construct a chart, as it takes at least an hour or two, if you do
it well, and that’s before you even meet the client. With today’s
computer programs, you input your data and it spits out a color chart
with all the graphics and tables in a minute or two. Imagine my frustration
with clients who got the time of birth wrong initially and I had to
redo the chart! But it’s no big deal with a computer, unless they
don’t tell you about their correct time until after the reading.
I just went through that with a Taurus.
So, what would I have done had I pursued an academic degree? Probably
psychology of some sort, as it’s as close to much of what I do
anyway. Oh, and something health-oriented or involved in the arts because
that’s what I’ve done a lot, or most probably doing an infomercial
pitching my own personal wellness package. Hey, that could still come.
With Saturn in the 3rd and Sun/Mercury conjunct, a writer is born but
has to make ends meet with things like telemarketing, sales of various
types, insurance, investments, inheritance, communications of various
types and even delivery service. I also worked for a strip-o-gram company
as a clown and comedian/MC for some of that 8th house nastiness.
Today’s kids
have fewer options than we did back in the 70’s because with Corporate
America transformed into Corporate International, the economic landscape
is changed, especially with the elimination of healthcare benefits and
pension funds. This administration has told Americans, “You’re
on your own, and as we privatize government services, you get less for
more of your tax dollars.” We are more than screwed, as today’s
kids are not only worse off educationally, they are less prepared to
enter the work force. Instead, they enter the armed forces. So then
they go off to fight in an illegal, ill-advised war of imperialism to
establish a foothold in the Middle East and they get sand kicked in
their faces. Literally. How can these people not feel betrayed and cheated?
The people who support this war effort are anti-Arab and anti-Islam,
believing in the eventual Armageddon on the plains of Gehenna. You can
find them in the pews at Megachurches throughout the Southern Baptist
South and Midwest. They are the programmed and conditioned ones who
respond to the mere suggestion of God’s influence over the fate
of man. The triple convergence of religion, government and corporation
is deadly to the power of the individual and one’s ability to
live free.
For the past 27
years, America has been assaulted by the RRR to end abortion, women’s
and gay rights of all sorts. Wedge issues to drive Americans apart.
Divide and conquer. We are one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty
and justice for all. Now how can you justify what they are trying to
do under those sentiments? We are not one nation under Jesus, Moses
or Mohammed and God is not a partisan political operative. The bible
doesn’t guarantee civil rights and freedoms; rather it gives God’s
laws and tells stories. Biblical laws are irrelevant to the present
century, as they were intended to direct the people in the time before
the rule of law and nationally elected governments. Laws must evolve
and change as people do. Slavery can be justified when you take the
word of the bible literally, as can murdering someone just because they
saw their parent’s nakedness or had a little lay down with another
man. Taking the bible literally is as dumb as thinking it was all original
works of divine inspiration. There are many retread stories from earlier
times. Southern preachers are especially good at stirring up emotions
because under rational scrutiny, almost all religious arguments fall
flat. We need to become a more civil and secular nation, as is so much
of the world. We see the trouble a holy war has exposed and we still
don’t turn from it. It’s due to the tenacious defensiveness
of the leaders who run this operation of lies.
Now we are engaged
in a great civil war, testing whether that nation is even a real nation
or just a coalition of mandated divisions containing residents of that
particular locale. Haditha is Iraq’s Mi-Lai massacre because we
are stuck in a quagmire playing whack-a-mole with exploding roadside
bombs and clusters of snipers set to fire after the IED goes off. War
is hell when you go into a hostile environment and the enemy has their
stronghold already long established. The Pentagon was preparing for
a Middle East war as far back as the Nixon-Ford days but they let the
Iran-Iraq war happen by supplying both sides with weapons, allowing
us to forestall our involvement until Saddam invaded Kuwait. After the
Arab Oil Embargo of ’73, it was only a matter of time before we
invaded one of those gushers. And they claim it wasn’t a war for
oil. Right…and I’m 6’3” with pecs and abs of
steel.
It’s getting
to the point where a Republican’s only insult to throw at a Democrat
is…liberal truth-teller!

6-10 John Edwards
Here is a man of the people, having 4 planets in Gemini, reflecting
others’ ideas and experiences. As most of you know by now, he
was a trial lawyer and had won many of his high profile cases so as
to amass several million dollars. Now, that doesn’t make him a
bad guy but I can tell you right now, he won’t be supporting the
Bush proposed law to limit class action suits at the federal level.
First of all, the president, who places those judges on the bench, can
control the federal courts.
Now John boy was born and raised in the Carolinas but it doesn’t
mean he’s a country hick. Gemini is the sign of the city dweller,
whereas, its opposite, Sag, is the country boy, the adventurer and world
traveler. It’s interesting that he was on the intelligence committee
in the senate and Pluto is at the midpoint of his Sun and Saturn/Neptune
conjunction, sextile to all of them. His Gemini curiosity seeks to understand
all the information available about what goes on in the world that escapes
the notice and avoids the control of the powers that be.
Edwards has Mercury, his ruler, in Cancer, the sign of family and homeland.
It’s a mind with a great memory and sentimentality, sensitivity
and responsiveness, as in the need to care for his neighbors and constituents.
Venus in Taurus is sextile to his Mercury, so he connects with others
with a one-to-one relate-ability very easily. He can see your view and
appreciate your need for security and the basic needs of life.
His Moon is conjoining Jupiter in the 11th, making him a noble, generous
and positive leader who’s own need for security is enhanced by
putting out his own effort in a giving way and getting in return from
the universe. The more you give, the more you have, yet the less you
need, so the more you give. It might be considered that the woman he
married, Elizabeth, is a lawyer and his number one advisor. She’s
also indicated by his Juno/Pallas conjunction to the Moon, showing her
wisdom and partnership skills as well as her weight problem, which may
be connected to her son’s death. His Sun is conjoining Mars, also
in Gemini, indicating that he is a fighter and takes action, standing
toe-to-toe with all comers. He would also have been a hero in Viet Nam
had he been a little older and not just missed the draft and the war,
having graduated as the war ended.
I’ll tell you this…he won’t be the frumpy, grumpy,
Snidely Whiplash (Backlash) that Cheney is. He won’t be pressing
the flesh with huge corporate interests who seek to bribe him or Kerry
because they are already rich men who can’t be bought…or
so we like to believe. Since JE has Jupiter rising before his Sun and
it’s in a close conjunction with the Moon, his message is one
of hope and optimism for a better future (11th) and he has ideas to
make those things a reality. It can also mean a favorable relationship
with the mother, or a guy who takes advice from his wife, while Saturn
square Uranus may indicate a cold or detached association or even separation
from the father. I know about that, having it in my chart. As such,
he was able to come into his own without restriction and aim as high
as he wanted to go. The Jupiter oriental appearance makes him a natural
for law and government, as well as jovial, enthusiastic and optimistic.
Along with the Moon/Jupiter are Juno and Pallas, so he has wisdom in
his relationships, as people attest upon meeting him. He comes across
as genuine and interested in their concerns and finds a way to remedy
the situation. He needs to make things better in a way that relates
this wisdom to those who can benefit from it. He would want to interact
with people who had a level of intellectual expertise and experience,
and, as a lawyer, made many friends of intellectual skill. Not all of
them are worthy of his respect, however, just as the remainder of the
Senate isn’t all his good buddies. Colleagues are one thing, but
close intimates…quite another thing.
He has Cancer Rising, an indication that he has family at the forefront
of his mind (Mercury’s there) and the core of his experience.
With Uranus in the 1st house, he projects liberal values to a degree,
but the Cancer ASC gives him more traditional perspectives of the middle
class son of a mill worker. He is a protector of those too weakened
to stand up for themselves and he knows what the common family has to
go through to survive. Rich and privileged sons who go to Yale comprise
the other candidates, Edwards comes from the masses, and has aspired
to the classes, a real American rags to riches story, the American Dream
itself. The GOP will tear him apart but they do that to every opponent,
without regard for the truth. Since Edwards has the Moon as his ruling
planet, he stands for the families who have been affected by the rising
and falling economy. His mom may have been a major influence in his
morality and demeanor.
6-10 Elliot Spitzer
is the corporate crime fighter extraordinaire. If you want to start
the ultimate in Justice Departments, go for Elliot, John Edwards and
Pat Fitzgerald. Here’s an interesting twist, however, since Spitzer
is born the day before Hugh Laurie. What could be seen in Elliot’s
chart that leads to law and corporate reform? The Wall Street Watchdog
has his eye on the New York Governorship, on his way to the presidency,
perhaps. Jupiter is in Scorpio, the sign of other people’s money
and it’s not connected to the rest of the chart by aspects to
other planets, thus operates as a free agent. The square that Chiron
it makes leads to investigate cases of public-money misuse and malfeasance.
His Leo stellium is even more clustered than Hugh Laurie’s with
the Moon nestled tightly between Venus and Mars, perhaps his inclination
and instinct to fight for the benefit of the small family fortunes as
they struggle for survival against the large corporate giants. These
three Leo planets square Neptune, subjecting poor Elliot to deception
and other elusive devises to avoid being found out as a cheater, liar
and thief. He’s the victim of many false attack ads by the RRR
who want to denounce him as anti-American or whatever they always do
when someone of integrity has the guts to stand up to a superior force
or power and stand one’s ground, asserting the truth, despite
the repercussions. His experience with Saturn may be an estranged relationship
with an annoying father who stressed him out and he compensates by going
after the paternalistic corporate big daddy and it will lead him to
go after corrupt government officials as well.
Elizabeth Hurley,
Chris Penn, Leelee Sobieski, Judy Garland
6-11 Hugh Laurie
plays his role as Dr. House to the specifications prescribed in his
chart. His surly nature is presumed by Saturn square the South Node
in Aries and the anti-social tendency is the same square to the Libra
North Node. His diagnostic wizardry is implied by the sextile Mercury
in late Gemini makes to the early degree Pluto in Virgo, giving a deep,
penetrating thought process to his character. Mercury opposite Saturn
and Saturn opposite Hygeia indicate the problem with authority figures
in the world of health sciences. His addiction to pain and pain medication
along with the infirmity that caused his use of drugs is laid out like
a high-class restaurant table with Venus, Mars and the Moon in Leo square
Neptune in Scorpio. The Moon conjoins Uranus revealing his eccentricities
and emotional detachment and unpredictability. His chart is a perfect
reflection of much of his character. I can’t say the same thing
about his role in Stuart Little or anything else he’s done.
Ray Nagin has Mercury
on the South Node in the same sign as his Sun and gives credence to
the fact that he doesn’t know what the hell he’s saying
half the time or that he’ll just change position later on. What
makes matters worse is the square it makes to Mars in Pisces and the
Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Leo. To sum it up in a nutshell, shit jumps
out of his mouth. With Moon in Leo conjunct Uranus, he has a rather
wide appeal, if you like the unusual and eccentric. His Venus in Cancer
is retrograde but the trine it makes to Mars in the sign of the last
hope and lost cause shows he’s fighting to regain the heart, hopes
and spirit of a washed-out city. I see him as believing his actions
are meant to help his city’s denizens make a commitment to rebuild
what can and should be rebuilt and resign themselves to the fact that
due to the significant subsidence that is causing the great city to
sink at an increasing rate. They have to let go of some of the place,
allowing the Mighty Mississippi to reclaim some of its own. Mayor Ray
has Sag North Node and if he’s going to get his people to come
home, he has to travel to see them and rustle up some much-needed investment
from other states and private investors to get the city growing again.
Mercury opposite Saturn places him at odds with the powers that be and
at the feet of the real powerbrokers, the heads of corporations. As
they become targets of legal battles for financial over-compensation,
boards vote on executive raises and benefits, but an objective observer
should look into it, if possible. Ray’s Sun trine Neptune got
many people believing in him and forgiving him for what was done to
him by FEMA and Homeland Security.

6-12 Jim Nabors
is the very kind of person you wouldn’t want to offend by this
talk of gay marriage, since he and Rock Hudson had a secret thing that
would have been quite different today. His Sun/Jupiter conjunction gave
him the humor and openness to a multifaceted lifestyle that entertained
many people for a long time. His Moon/Saturn conjunction contributes
to the longevity but they square Uranus, which makes for separation
from traditional family structures and feelings. The Moon opposes Venus/Pluto,
contributing an intense sexual obsession for anal sex. Moon/Saturn also
trine Mars, easing the relationships with men to compensate for the
psychological detachment from his parents. With Mercury and Mars, as
well as Chiron and North Node in Taurus, it was his destiny to sing
with a rich baritone voice. Mercury square Neptune is his feverish imagination
and escapist fantasies that had little to do with reality. Venus square
Uranus is one of the gay aspects but it’s due to the transitory
nature of quickies and one-niters that occurs in any single’s
scene. It’s issues with intimacy.
George Bush has
a whole long revealing file on the PDB on my web site, Leofish.com
Anne Frank
6-13 William Butler
Yeats was an influential Irish poet and playwright whose brilliance
challenged the thinkers of his day to stretch their minds a bit, as
he has Sun/Uranus trine Moon in Aquarius and Saturn in Libra, so he
could actually get work done. Wouldn’t you know that a poet has
Neptune exactly quintile his Sun, which shows artistic genius in fields
like theater and poetry. Jupiter opposed his Sun and Uranus giving him
a search for truth as his carrot in front of the horse. Venus conjoins
Pluto and squares the Moon opposite Mars setting up a passionate and
explosive relationship game. There would be games of prodding and poking,
irritating annoyances that could break down into confrontation and conflict.
Old-fashioned donnybrooks are known to happen when this kind of chap
gets his knickers in a knot. It sounds like a bit of Victorian Brokeback
to me.
Ally Sheedy, Tim Allen
6-14 James Sensenbrenner
is a fear-monger who currently heads the House Judiciary Committee and
that’s why there haven’t been and won’t be any investigations
into government wrongdoing in this congress. His chart has corruption
oozing all over it, with Moon in Scorpio square Venus/Pluto in Leo,
betraying people’s trust and conducting financially unethical
deals has got to be grounds for his district not to re-elect the fat
pig. His Sun conjoins Saturn, so he rationalizes that he can do anything
to stay in power but the Sun also squares Neptune, causing addiction
to drugs, alcohol or food. It can also have something to do with a religious
element beaten into him by his parents, as it makes him a victim, which
causes addiction in many cases. With Mercury square Chiron, he has an
inability to be really rational in discourse unless he is in the position
of knowing everything, as a Gemini with Mercury conjunct Uranus would
like it to seem. The trine Mercury makes to Neptune may be why he favors
the religious faction that has taken over his party. Perhaps it shouldn’t
be any great surprise because he was elected to the House in 1979, the
year the Christian Coalition began making inroads into right wing policy
crafting. His impolitic asteroid Pallas conjoins Mars, making it all
for war and not for peaceful discussion, in other words, he’s
an arrogant asswipe who doesn’t care about the rights of the people
to be represented for their interests. And he carries around unbending
fealty to a lost leader.
Boy George is the
former cross-dressing androgynous front man of Culture Club, who had
a big hit with Karma Comedian and has some decidedly gay aspects. First,
there’s the Venus opposition to Neptune squared by Jupiter. Talk
about a guy who’ll fuck anything that walks but despite high expectation,
there is always disappointment and as such, it can lead to drug use
and ultimate overdose. His Mars/Uranus in Leo make for a flamboyant
sexuality of outrageous kinkiness. During the staid Reagan years, this
dude shakes things up a bit. Moon/Mercury conjunction in Cancer trine
Neptune in the 7th in Scorpio with Pluto in the middle sextile them
all is his ability to reach the masses for a brief moment in music history.
With Saturn only inconjunct the North Node and his time passed, he would
have to reinvent himself with some valid contribution to culture. For
good measure he was born in one of the few years that had Chiron opposite
Pluto rather than Uranus. Chiron is also involved in the trine to Moon/Mercury
and Neptune, making music his mission.
Donald Trump, Malcolm
McDowell, Steffi Graf
6-15 Edvard Grieg was the Norwegian composer best known for his music
to Ibsen’s play, Peer Gynt. Everyone’s heard Morning Music
and In the Hall of the Mountain King but he wrote tons of stuff that’s
easy and delightful to listen to and I haven’t done a composer
in a while. His Mercury retrograde on the South Node might reflect his
love for traditional folk melodies. Venus in Taurus confers a natural
talent in music and with the trine to the Moon/Saturn in Capricorn;
he well might have hiked in the mountains to listen for shepherds and
milkmaids to sing their tunes. Mars in Sag provides the energy and enthusiasm
to explore the open lands. Moon/Saturn also square Pluto contributing
to obsession over death of parents and family members in general. The
real gift of artistic genius and understanding is his Sun/Mercury trine
Jupiter/Neptune in Aquarius, sign of rhythm and invention.
Helen Hunt, Mary Carey, Astrologer John Addey, Jim Belushi, Ice Cube
6-16 Alice A. Bailey
was one of the founders and proponents of theosophy, having a strong
background in metaphysics and astrology. I ran into a fellow astrologer
reading an Alice Bailey astrology book a thousand miles from where I
had met him weeks before. Her chart shows the challenge of being a female
with strong masculine memories, as the subjects she was delving into
had previously only been explored by men. Perhaps her Mars on the ASC
reveals some of that male energy. Another factor that exposes an identity
crisis is the Moon in Libra square the Sun, as if she could ever be
concerned with only herself! Her Mercury in Cancer on the South Node
shows memories from lifetimes ago and the square to Jupiter is her judgmental,
opinionated arrogance at having so much more knowledge than so many
others. With the Sun sextile Saturn, however, she may have tempered
that attribute with self-restraint and discipline out of respect for
the other person’s accomplishments. An ardent intellectual, she
may have had some emotional issues with her Moon square the nodes, making
her out of balance. Venus in Gemini sextile Jupiter in Aries gave her
a love for knowledge and wisdom and Jupiter is on the MC in the 9th,
like me, inclining her toward metaphysical truths as well. Moon trine
Pluto gave her strong instincts with the occult but Mars square Neptune
would have complicated things with addiction problems and suicide attempts.
This was a response to her strict family’s Christian dogma that
her soul could not relate to and turned to Eastern mysticism, as we
all should.
Tupac Shakur is the rapper slain in the Death Row Records East-West
rivalry with Biggie Smalls the other victim. Odds are Suge Knight had
them both killed. That profile should also be in the archives, as I
seem to recall having done it.
Our civilization
has been made uncivil by religions competing for an ever-larger marketplace
with dwindling returns. There are more sects of Christianity than there
are other religions, I’ll bet. It’s because they have become
so factionalized and fragmented that they have lost their way and have
meandered far from the truth. The only thing they spread is fear, or
is that the RNC and not the SBC. Baptists are on a mission from God
to make sure everyone is born again in the spirit of Jesus but there
are problems if he didn’t actually die on the cross and had lived,
traveling to France with Mary and raising a family. So much myth has
filtered into the story that it’s hard to know what really happened
and whether or not there was another exodus. It’s worth it to
consider different ways of considering how history was interpreted,
to each according to the advantage they could gain from twisting it.
As we consider this Sag Full Moon, the truth shall set you free but
you have to explore the world and learn from your own personal experiences.
Be mindful of self-improvement and caring for your health. It’s
cheaper to maintain health than to regain it when it’s lost. I
can’t believe I’m closing with a line worthy of a Chinese
fortune cookie. But I am. Thank you and good times. Here’s a fun
piece by Grieg.
