It was foretold in the natal chart of his demise, that he would be travelling home for a wedding with his wife and her sister. Yes, it's really there!

Here is a step-by-step account of that connection. The theory can only be proven post-mortem.

The 4th house represent home, family and roots, but some old texts refer to it as the end of life. JFK, Jr's chart has Jupiter as the ruler of the 4th and located in it along with Juno and Venus, all conjoining. Juno is weddings and Venus is the spouse, which in John's case rules the 9th house. Travel to a distant place, but also the third of the 7th, the wife's sibling.

This is only the beginning you see, John had Pluto rising at birth and has felt the pall of death around his life forever. In fact, it would be no great leap of astrologic to suggest that Junior was the reincarnation of Joe Kennedy Jr. and that he was an accident waiting to happen because of his Moon opposite Uranus squared by the sun. Pluto had been square to his Pluto for a while. So, when the transiting Jupiter formed an inconjunct to his Sun, opposed Mars and squared Neptune, both the transiting planets.

I might add that Mars rules the 8th house of death and Neptune is the ruler of the deep blue sea, which claimed the three young lives. Ah, sad but true, the good die young, they do. At the moment of impact, Pluto was directly overhead and Uranus was rising in the eastern sky. With Mercury retrograde, he could have had communication failure or an instrument malfunction. And we just couldn't do anything about the weather which is always less predictable than meteorologists can be accurate about.
