The first show of the year brings the news that Jack Abramoff will
be ratting out the congressmen and senators who took bribes to pass
through legislation and pull political favors for certain high-paying
clients, like the Native American Casino deal and a murder-for-hire
deal and a whole bunch of other stuff. This thing will have waves
like a tsunami and aftershocks like an earthquake. This is bigger,
more important news than anything that’s going on this week
in the nation, I think. It will play out over a period of time but
it will change the face of government, lobbying and how business is
done in Washington. While it’s mostly Republicans that are implicated,
some Dumb-o-craps are also involved, like Hillary Clinton. Congress
may as well reconvene, since there is no way the GOP will allow DeLay
to be reinstated when Jack talks and he will sing like a canary in
a cage. Too bad they didn’t send him into the coal mine.
There
were 12 coal miners trapped in a West Virginia mountain and people
were told that they were rescued on Tuesday although one didn’t
make it. Yet it was exactly the reverse! There was an explosion and
one guy was killed in the explosion in a section of the tunnel. The
12 others were on the wrong side, in the carbon monoxide poisoned
air, yet one guy miraculously survived. What happened was one of the
worst communications screw-ups since the movies. People were tense
and vigilant during 41 long hours of waiting to hear what anyone knew
about their fates. When news first came in, the people were joyful
at first, then in shock and tears the next minute. They should not
have been told anything until people were out in the open air and
breathing. Stupid people are digging deep into mountains to get a
poisonous fuel source instead of growing it. The biggest tragedy was
that they weren’t trapped by a wall of stone and could have
walked out but they were trained to wait for the help that took too
long. In China, thousands have died in their mines because life is
deadly in the mining industry. Mountains are a Capricorn feature,
as they require skill and knowledge of how to handle the climb. You
have to have the instinct, the agility, the strength and the endurance
to handle the changes of altitude and temperature. Climbing the mountain
can be as deadly as mining it and even winter sports can cause problems,
as avalanches are frequently the result of stupid people causing environmental
disasters.
With
the new calendar, there are the new and returning TV shows and while
there are some things worth watching, ultimately, it is an individual
thing. I have gone through periods of withdrawal from watching TV
and other phases of watching only old series that I really liked,
like in the 80’s I watched reruns of Twilight Zone, Get Smart
and Star Trek. I always watch The Daily Show now, because I want to
know what’s really going on in a way I can smile or laugh at
it and not feel crappy because so many bad things keep happening.
I try to keep away from the news channels except for special occasions,
because they bash stories to death far too often. I might tune in
C-Span for the Alito confirmation hearings, hoping they don’t
confirm him. His advocacy for spying and other intrusions into one’s
privacy are disturbing to me and to many others who have looked into
his views on the matter, a particularly sore subject at this time.
In all of his rulings, he has found for the corporation, the business
owner and the employer to the detriment of the little guy. He believes
the country gets rich by the millionaires making it on the backs of
their labor force, allowing them to cut pensions, benefits, healthcare
and even sick days. Unions won’t stand a chance with him on
the court and this is at the core of the problems in the mining industry.
An industry person is in charge of the oversight, as with all of the
administration’s appointments to cabinet posts and other sensitive
positions.
Business
is a Capricorn agenda and when it gets too intimate with government
to the point that the industry itself is doing the oversight, well,
you have a problem like what happened in the coal mine in WV. This
administration has consistently put people into positions where they
can do more harm than good for the people of this country. They are
there specifically to help ease regulations and controls on pollutants
being pumped into the air, water and ground by huge industries who
get tax breaks and subsidies to do things they should be doing out
of good business sense. Henry Ford, though he was a Nazi sympathizer,
began the assembly line and the living wage with the idea that anyone
working for him ought to be able to afford to buy his products. When
government gets so intertwined with business that corporate lawyers
are writings laws that congress rubber stamps, as in the credit card
and bankruptcy laws, that’s fascism! What we have here is a
failure of democracy. The state of the union is very bad because of
what Bush has done to the constitution, as in ignore it, trample it,
shred it and violate it in almost every way possible. Did he wipe
his ass with it?
I
have already railed about the administration’s disregard for
the constitution and the American way of life. It appalls many of
us what they have been doing to this country, its people and its finances,
as well as the destructive impact on the rest of the world. In their
Christian delusion they believe the world will be wiped clean as they
are taken up in the rapture. Despite their fantasy about the end of
the world, they are actively working to make it a reality. They have
activated the doomsday clock and the minutes are ticking down. Can
we stop it? They have been listening in on Americans who call overseas
and may not stop there. Just be careful what you say on the phone
and in your emails these days since Big Brother is watching you. It’s
scary to believe these tactics, which were shown to us as a warning
in books like 1984, would actually be employed, whereas the breakaway
country of Ecotopia never did pan out. I am reading it now, by the
way and am seeing a good source of ideas.
We
need new ideas on how to run a government because what we have now
is in a sorry state of disrepair. It’s obvious to me that Maria
took Arnold to task and is making him return some of the money he
borrowed from the schools because education is the foundation of the
future. We have to think about the future now. Mercury will form a
sextile to Uranus Sunday and Jupiter on Friday, so it seems that using
the higher functions of your brain is a good idea and since we are
talking about the earth and water signs, make sure you contain them
and sustain them to their completion. Only by seeing our impact on
nature can we begin to figure ways to improve on the way things have
been. The worst event of 2005 was Katrina and was made worse by what
had not been taken care of, as a result, they were unprepared. Now,
there are two distant concerns that will help the delta be reshaped
and channeled effectively. From Illinois comes the dredging of lakes,
which results in rich soil that will be sent downriver to the delta
to build it back up. Across the Atlantic, the Dutch have mastered
levees and dykes are built to withstand the battering and raging oceans
in icy northern winters and there are some experts willing to instruct
us in their technology to prepare us for future storms. The question
remains how much of New Orleans should be rebuilt and how should the
building proceed if there are no assurances of preventing the same
catastrophe from happening? We should always be open to new ideas.
It is the American way. We are an amalgam of the English, French,
Dutch, Irish, Italian, Jew and Swede for over a hundred years and
have taken ideas from elsewhere and implemented and perfected them
here. This has always been a melting pot and a social experiment on
a national order. When people get too narrow in their views, they
lose the perspective. There is a simple reason the Midwest is the
most conservative, since it is the most white. This why a state like
Indiana goes all crazy with racism and homophobia, because they are
culturally ignorant of what international immigrants bring to the
coastal urban centers of California, New York, New England and the
Central Atlantic states of the Eastern Seaboard, as it is called.
We are a culturally mixed nation and have to resist the extremists
who want to ignore that fact, turning their backs on civility to bring
back racial hatred and causing havoc.
There
are storms everywhere at this time of year. Some are of nature and
some are political. It rained a lot this past week and the Rose Bowl
Parade got rained on for the first time in 51 years but the Rose Bowl
was a worse result for the hometown team. So close and yet one call
and the game goes the other way. The Trojans had a few calls that
went against them and one or two of their own mistakes sank them.
Their first defeat in three years was a stunning one, partly because
of the sudden switch of momentum at the end of a very exciting game.
Still, they had a great run and were beaten by a magnificent quarterback
who had a couple of receivers who caught the ball as though to drop
it would have meant death and with a swift and swarming secondary.
I dare any jock football or sports commentator write better copy than
that!
The
responsibility of parenting is a high priority for those who have
chosen parenthood although delaying childbirth until 27 would help
those who need time to think about it. It is a part of life that should
be entered into with prior education and awareness of the responsibilities
of being a mother or father. Too many people become parents without
being prepared for the complexities involved, since it isn’t
a single role that you play, it’s a variety of characters and
professions you have to substitute for, so you should have some life
experience and knowledge of fields like anatomy and health care, first
aid, CPR, and a few other helpful talents, like storytelling and psychology.
Your child is a growing, developing, evolving being and so are you,
if you see that truth. Patience and listening are helpful qualities
along with wisdom, which comes from experience. This is why Hillary
wrote, “It Takes a Village” and why in past tribal cultures,
there was a strong support system of co-parenting by fellow villagers,
plus they had a lot of other children with whom they could play. Indigenous
peoples have been that way for centuries because it works and personal
feeling become less of an issue as group consciousness is more the
practice. In western culture, they’ve lost it.

We
have an aging population who face the daunting prospect of maturity.
Old age doesn’t seem right for baby boomers as they start turning
60 this year, including Bush and Clinton. Say, what are the odds of
two consecutive presidents being impeached? At this point, it’s
looking pretty good, since I’m hearing that word more and more
these days, and even some Republicans are favoring it, considering
how the violations of constitutional laws have multiplied. But back
to aging, it’s rather ironic that so many old congress people
have been isolated from the common folk for so long that they don’t
really know what the issues of Joe and Jane American are all about.
They should use this excessively long recess I like to refer to as
Tom’s Delay to meet with their constituents and find a path
back to their hearts. By the way, DeLay will not return to his previous
position as the Jack-off scandal has strangled his chances of re-entering
the field. If both Bush and Arnold have begun to beg for the forgiveness
of the people, you know they are desperate to pick up their poll numbers.
Midterms are coming and many returning Iraq vets are running for office
to change how congress does business and mainly to provide for the
military personnel who got their benefits cut by a wartime president
who wants to build bombs, not bridges. Many men returned from WWII
as heroes and went into politics wearing that badge proudly but Vietnam
vets weren’t as proud of their mission and its result, especially
because of the national response. They are older now and we respect
them today in a way we couldn’t back then.
Speaking
of older people, Ariel Sharon had a stroke and his chart shows some
of the problems he’s had, and I will discuss the ones that affected
him physically. He’s a Pisces with Moon in Taurus, so food is
his addiction of choice and he loves meat and potatoes, surf and turf
as well as breads. He has little restraint or self-discipline as he
has aged with the Saturn on the Sag South Node. He was a leader and
fighter when he was young, manifesting the early bloomer with Aries
rising and the Saturn trine his ASC. The Sun’s weakness in the
natal chart is the 12th house placement and the square to the nodes
it makes. At this point in time, the progressed Sun hit natal Moon,
ruler of the 4th house, the end of life for those who are prepared.
Uranus is exactly conjunct his Sun right now and his minor progressed
Sun squares natal Uranus, so a heart attack or heart problem of some
sort, was inevitable, although a brain hemorrhage is more about Uranus
in Aries, sign of the head and brain and his Aries minor Moon being
on progressed Uranus. His health would be a major issue at this time
of his life because the ruler of his 6th house, Mercury, has come
into an exact square with his natal Sun. His minor Mercury hit natal
Saturn on the South Node and brings up all the old health issues he
never resolved. For once, it wasn’t Saturn or Pluto having an
influence, but more Uranus affecting the Sun, which makes sense for
this kind of issue.
Lynn
Swann wants to run for governor of PA and his last job was sideline
reporter for football games. Earlier in his life he was a wide receiver
for the Steelers during the 70’s but that doesn’t make
him a hero for the whole state, since Eagle fans have no love for
him. I think the Pisces he is got prodded into running because they
want a charismatic Republican that will follow the Bush League of
corruption and his chart makes him a bit too awed by the power and
temptation to succumb to evil directions as his Venus is closely opposite
Pluto, an aspect of corruption, as we shall see later on when we discuss
the politicians who have birthdays this week. His Mercury’s
only aspect is a trine to the Moon, which is fine for having a good
memory and being sentimental but neither are qualities an administrator
needs. His Sun trine Mars made for his athletic gifts and strong desires
and it might have some leadership skills as well, but I’d be
concerned about his Venus in Aquarius opposition to Pluto in a square
to Mars, since it talks about the kind of people he will end up in
bed with, in more than just sexual ways. Venus is sextile Jupiter
but that can be the money he has made and will still make, although
eventually states and governors who run them will come under federal
scrutiny to ensure that what has rampantly happened in Washington
won’t happen locally.

Jon Stewart was just signed to host the Oscars and I must say he seems
to be the best choice and at the right time in his career and in the
life of the Oscars. More people would like to see him host than any
other past host, although Billy Crystal was the best we had for a
long time. Jon has the right amount of humor and restraint as well
as being able to poke fun at himself or anyone else. He is the Sag
who most represents many of the best qualities of the sign, having
the right mix of humor, truth, wisdom and yet, a certain modesty.
He will be the star but will put the emphasis on the stars being honored.
I wonder what he’ll do for an opening sequence other than a
monologue.
In
a sad note, Lou Rawls died yesterday of lung cancer and when I looked
at his chart before I knew the cause, I could tell it was lung-related.
He has natal Mercury conjoining Jupiter and Sun all square Saturn,
so it was just a matter of time before he choked and croaked. Progressed
Mercury was exactly square natal Uranus and in opposition to minor
Pluto. Minor Mercury was right on his natal Saturn and minor Sun was
on progressed Saturn as well as square to the natal Sag stellium.
The Moon and the 4th house also deal with end of life issues and his
progressed Moon was conjunct Neptune, both natal and progressed are
at the same degree and the minor Moon just this week opposed minor
Neptune and his progressed Sun was conjunct the natal Moon. Oh yeah,
and the day he dies, the minor Moon is exactly on the minor South
Node, a karmic episode, to be sure, as death usually is. A Sagittarius
with Moon in Aquarius is a free spirit with lots of energy and many
friends. Sam Cooke was one friend from the boyhood days in Chicago
and once, when on tour, they were in an accident in which their chauffeur
was killed. That night the transiting South Node conjoined their composite
Uranus exactly and in the sky, there was a Scorpio stellium in a square
to transit Uranus. They wrote, “Having a Party” together,
which is rather appropriate since they had a lot of things in common,
partying being one of them and a Venus/Sun conjunction in Sag in the
synastry. Sam was an Aquarius, the sign of Lou’s Moon, so it
was easy for them to sing together, blending Sam’s smooth tenor
with Lou’s deeper, darker baritone. Lou also had a great solo
career and was a fine singer until his lungs became less than reliable.
The pipes go when they go and then…not long afterwards, they
can’t sustain much else. While he also had brain cancer, it
was the lungs that knocked him off the island, Earth.

7 Millard Fillmore was the president who tried to maintain the unity
of the country in the decade before the Civil War and made the Compromise
of 1850 to allow California to enter the union as a free state, among
other things. He took over the presidency from Zachary Taylor, who
died of acute indigestion, or else he had something caught in his
throat and no one knew the Heimlich maneuver. Who really knows? And
Fillmore is the last president who was neither a Democrat nor Republican,
but rather a Whig. And he had no Vice President! Fillmore was given
his mother’s maiden name for his first name, as the Moon in
Gemini denotes an affinity to his mother, although it is opposite
Mars, signifying some emotional conflicts and a certain impatience
and combative responsiveness. The Moon sextile Saturn shows a working
relationship between his parents as a role model for what he would
become. Jupiter in Gemini square Uranus in Virgo made for many political
differences of opinion, especially since he was of a different party
than his predecessor, yet he was adaptable and worked things out.
Venus square Pluto shows him having people he loves die as well as
saboteurs around him, waiting to undermine his plans. But this was
a man with Mercury in Sag opposite Jupiter squared by Uranus and he
probably said too much more often than too little.
John
Thune is the jerk who defeated Tom Daschle in South Dakota over the
Prairie Dog debate and defense. He’s one of those handpicked
Bush senators who toe the party line and vote for all of Bush’s
bills. He’s born one day before another Bush boy, Dick Pombo,
a California Congressman from Tracy, just east of San Francisco Bay
and he’s into some ecological disasters-in-the-making. The only
real differences between them are the Moon and ASC, so I’ll
explain the rest of the chart and you’ll understand both of
them very easily. This isn’t the first time politicians have
been born on consecutive days in the same year, of course, as the
tale of the two Dicks is another January story, although they are
Aquarians; Cheney and Gephardt. As for Thune and Pombo, this right
wing congressional combo is doing the political mambo and screwing
with our rights. This GOP duo has four planets in Capricorn, as the
Sun is conjoined by Jupiter rising just before sunrise, making it
the planet of oriental appearance and leading to a career in law and
government, as well as Mercury very close to Saturn, giving rise to
an opportunistic, manipulative control freak who would sell out anyone
to have power and to serve their greater Republican cause. Venus opposite
Pluto shows the attraction to corruption, as other people’s
money is an overwhelming motivator for what they want. Venus in Pisces
is on the South Node and opposed to Pluto on the North Node, showing
this destiny to be wrapped up in the gross misunderstanding of the
proper balance of resources and nature. That Venus/South Node is the
source of their issues about religion, which is generally at issue
throughout their party. They destroy people and they destroy the planet
in the process, since there is no compassion, no empathy and no understanding
of how real people are affected by the Bush policies that have slashed
benefits for the poor and given huge tax cuts to the ultra rich, who
don’t need them. They might both have Moon square Mars, which
makes for an irritable personality who bothers many other people,
as well. Otherwise, there is a lack of integration of the chart’s
elements and hence, they do not relate to the real values or needs
of the people they allegedly represent. They are pawns of giant industries
and the higher political powers in their parties who broker the deals
they just organize and implement to the best of their feeble ability.
They will be exposed soon enough.
Also
born on the 7th…Carolyn Bessette was the wife of JFK Jr. and
died in the crash with him, Nicholas Cage is the actor I don’t
really like and he also has Moon square Mars as well as Venus/Saturn
square Neptune. Francis Poulenc was a French composer who wrote delightful,
urbane and tuneful music for chamber and orchestral ensembles with
such snappy breeziness that most people who hear it, like it. He was
a horny bastard, with Moon in Scorpio conjoining Jupiter in a square
to Mars in Leo and an exact Venus/Uranus conjunction in Sag for all
the guys he must have played with but with Neptune opposite his Mercury/Saturn,
he only had time for music and partying with wine, music and song.

8 Richard Pombo (see above)
David Bowie and Elvis Presley were both kings in their musical fields
but Elvis had Moon in Pisces conjunct Hygeia for food issues as well
as drugs and then a square to Chiron to make for a chronic wound.
Venus opposite Pluto squared by Uranus is an obsession for someone
until he has her and then sabotages the relationship with someone
who doesn’t mean anything. Bowie on the other hand, has Moon
in Leo conjoining Pluto and Saturn but square Chiron, so there are
also psychosexual issues with him. Bowie has Sun exactly conjunct
Mars with Mercury nearby and they all square Neptune, hence the glam-rock
with drugs and sex.
< Changes - Bowie >
Stephen
Hawking is the master physicist who understands the nature of the
universe better than most and has even allowed himself to admit that
he had made a mistake in his earlier theories. His Moon in Virgo conjoins
Neptune makes him analytic and understands how things work and likes
to take the time to know more about this universe that puzzles so
many people. It is his Saturn/Uranus conjunction trine Moon/Neptune
that aid him in his research as it gives the perseverance and patience
to keep plugging on in spite of the fact that he could be wrong a
hundred times before he’s right. His Capricorn Mercury closely
trines Uranus in Taurus and Neptune forming a Grand Trine in Earth
signs that helps him focus in on material reality. Venus in Aquarius
squares Saturn and Uranus and might have something to do with a neurological
problem that keeps him confined to a wheelchair and requires electronic
assistance for speech.

9 Gypsy Rose Lee was the stripper with a heart of gold and because
Candy Barr, the famous stripper of the 50’s, who was a Cancer
just died, I thought I’d take a look into it. Then I found out
that Gypsy Rose wasn’t a Capricorn, but an Aquarius and I’ll
do her next month, but Candy Barr is gone and I’m not waiting
until July to do hers. The exotic dancer has to have an instinct for
music, as her Moon/Neptune in Virgo in the 12th shows and Venus in
Leo trine Uranus lets the rhythm be flamboyantly expressed. She had
a lot of style and was innocent appearing but with Pluto on the South
Node and Mars in Libra square her Sun and Pluto, she had a lot of
intense anger at having grown up abused, abandoned and neglected,
so she ran away at 13 and hooked up with one bad influence after another.
A grand trine in water, Sun, Jupiter in Scorpio and Saturn in Pisces,
shows her to be somewhat lucky and tougher than appearances would
indicate. Saturn is weak in Pisces and shows addiction to run in the
genes, plus it squares her Chiron in Gemini, along with Neptune in
Virgo, revealing a health issue with the lungs and sure enough, she
died of pneumonia. Saturn opposite Moon/Neptune as mentioned earlier
also indicates the drug problem and the prison stint that it caused.
I should point out that she got 15 years for less than an ounce of
pot in 1960 but the governor, John Connally paroled her in 1963 and
pardoned her 4 years later. Perhaps he had seen her perform and still
had her pasty sitting on his desk. Uranus in the 7th is a reason that
4 divorced husbands never stuck around. She is not a great success
story and wouldn’t really inspire anyone who has half a brain
and any kind of real talent.
Richard
M Nixon is already posted on my political dartboard and “I Am
Not A Crook” should be his biography, Edward von Kloberg was
the dirtiest kind of lobbyist, taking cases no one in Washington DC
would touch, Bart Starr was the great Green Bay Quarterback, Lee Van
Cleef might have been the Bad or the Ugly in the Clint Eastwood spaghetti
westerns, Crystal Gayle is Loretta Lynn’s little sister and
can sing real purty.
Joan
Baez is the folk singer who can once again drag out all those old
protest songs from the 60’s since, with Mars in Sag opposite
Moon in Gemini, she needs international war to respond with ideas
worthy of communicating. Mars trines Pluto exactly, giving a passion
for everything she does and that intensity is thrown into her protests.
Her Sun/Mercury are trine Uranus in Taurus, so liberation and freedom
are always a part of her consciousness. Venus square Neptune allows
her to appreciate the plight of the downtrodden victims of an oppressive
regime right here in this country. Her Jupiter/Saturn conjunction
is square Pluto, so she may have something to do with taking down
a powerful hate-mongering political party.

10 Rasputin was advisor to the Romanoffs before the revolution and
certainly had a mystical quality about him but I am not sure how reliable
his intuition was, although, when he was right, it was astoundingly
so. Capricorns usually accomplish much on their own before they thrust
themselves on the world stage and he knew that would be where he ended
up. His Sun and Mercury in Capricorn opposite Uranus was able to see
the future and was drawn to interesting and important people because
they were the ones who needed to know. Neptune square the opposition
means that the challenge for his growth is to understand and accept
that certain energies are beyond our ability to handle them all. It
made for a lifelong search to determine that understanding, which
seemed to be about the times changing and the Romanoffs needed to
know these things. What did peasants need to know from a mystic? When
would the crops bear the sweetest fruit? There were more important
things to do and more powerful people with whom to do them. The stellium
of Moon/Venus/Saturn in Sagittarius makes for a social climber but
also an advisor to those in power who were receptive to the truth
as he could deliver it. Pluto is in the 7th house of open enemies
and it finds them quite vicious and corrupt, stubbornly hard to get
moving but once off, a veritable dynamo. It’s also the death
of close associates. With Aquarius South Node, he was always a hanger-on
to celebrities in prior lives and fell in with more of the same and
it didn’t turn out too well for any of them. He will have to
focus on a creative lifetime next time around.
Roy Blunt is the current Speaker of the House, keeping it warm until
the next election, when it goes over to the Democrats, perhaps Nancy
Pelosi, as it could happen that the entire administration is impeached,
or really just Bush and Cheney. Watch Commander in Chief and you get
a glimpse of what could happen in those circumstances, although, this
would be a whole lot different. Roy’s one of those congressmen
who know how to seem friendly and sociable but have way too many friends
who are like newborn pigs struggling to suckle at the mother’s
teat. He has an addiction problem with his Sun square Neptune, or
he’s a Jesus freak. Three planets are in Aquarius and Mercury
and Venus are retrograde in it, so he isn’t all that good relating
to people and getting them to do things, but he can make a scene.
Here’s another Venus opposite Pluto, like the Thune-Pombo combo
above, so also inclined to corrupt partners in crime. With Moon and
Mars on the South Node in Libra, he’s been codependent and unnaturally
reliant on other people his whole life, so standing up for himself
would not be one of his attributes.
George
Foreman was a heavyweight champ before he made a ton of money on the

11 Alexander Hamilton was the guy who set up the US Treasury Dept.
and in my opinion it was a good thing Aaron Burr killed him in the
duel. He was a federalist and wanted a strong centralized government,
but it’s partially because he wasn’t born in the US and
had no feeling for state’s rights, as Jefferson and Washington,
among many others who did. Born in Kingston Jamaica just before sunrise
with the Moon high in the sky in Virgo, trine his Sun and Mercury
in Capricorn, it was good for a diligent and ambitious organizer and
financial wizard. Jupiter in Scorpio favored him with a sextile to
his Mars and Sun, as well as a trine to Uranus for really good luck,
so opportunities took him far. But Jupiter also formed a square to
the opposition of Saturn to Neptune in Leo in the 8th, so he understood
the use of money and the expense needed to run a nation, although
it was a hard lesson to learn. His big problem was the Venus in Sag
conjunct Pluto square Uranus, as it may have caused an infidelity
and some dishonor or might have been the betrayal by a friend.
Maurice
Durufle was a French composer who wrote for the organ and choir but
was overshadowed by other, greater composers.

12 Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot and liar and druggie so has a
chart I would like to tear apart! First of all, he’s got some
weird sexual proclivities we don’t know everything about, since
he has Mars in Aquarius opposite Pluto and may like anal sex, but
I’m not sure which way. It could also have been an accident
and subsequent surgery, since Mars is the surgeon’s scalpel.
I’ve heard that those who hate strongly have some unresolved
sexual problems. His Sun squares Neptune and his Moon in Pisces square
Chiron in Sag, so there’s a lot of his drug problem right there.
Jupiter trine Uranus has made him lucky enough to know the right people
at the right time to get him blathering away as a rightwing talk show
host, but he’s an obnoxious pig who blows on a subject and spits
all over it. He has a hard time seeing reality with the Saturn square
to the Mercury/Uranus opposition, so he makes shit up out and pulls
it out of his ass. Moon squares Mercury, as well, making for a poor
memory, so it’s funny when blowhards like him get caught in
a lie and they say they never said it but it’s caught on tape…sometimes
they even say that it was doctored. Even it had been seen by millions!
Kirstie Alley is a Scientologist actress who lost a bunch of weight
recently. Food must be her addiction instead of hillbilly heroin,
like druggie Limbaugh, because she is born on the same day in the
same year. She’s brainwashed by L. Ron Hubbard and Rush is brainwashed
by the far right. Jeez, no wonder I never liked her except in Star
Trek.

13 Orlando Bloom is one of those actors whom I believe will have a
long career, since he is a Capricorn and has Moon in Scorpio and they
are the two most successful signs of the zodiac. Venus in Pisces trines
the Moon and Uranus, so he will have a lot of friends in the industry
and with Saturn in Leo trine Neptune in Sag, long term goals with
the film business may lead him behind the scenes as well. Mercury
retrograde conjunct Mars in Cap square Pluto in Libra gives an obsessive
mind with the powerful desire to get the scene right and to make it
work but it can also be a sexual lustiness and passion that gets out
of control. Venus squares Neptune, however and can cause sexual confusion
as to which gender to hang out around. Sun trines Jupiter may make
him open to whatever comes his way, almost literally. But with Sun
square Chiron on the South Node, there may be a wound that’s
deeper than most people would ever suspect.
Same day, different years…
Julia Louis-Dreyfus you all know from Seinfeld but I knew two girls
who were born on the same day and year as she was way back in 1977
and one of them I am in touch with and she has always had relationship
issues, like Elaine.
Richard Addinsell is a composer of film scores and light classical
music. Ralph Edwards was the creator of Truth or Consequences and
This Is Your Life.
Next
week will be the anniversary of the birth of MLK, who would have been
77 but I wonder what he would think about how civil rights and civil
liberties are being handled these days. I wonder if he would think
that the black man has arrived in the 21st century or if there is
still a long way to go. I suppose we will never know but we can work
to make dreams into reality through preparing the way of the future
in the now. It comes down to time and timing with Capricorn and you
have to be prepared for the time when things have to happen. Case
in point is next week’s Full Moon in Cancer in the wee hours
on the morning of next Saturday. This is the witch’s winter
moon and celebrations of pagan delights are the tradition. Enjoy these
days and in the spirit of getting back in tune with the rhythms of
the Earth, remember to contact me when you need a reading. Keep updated
on my writings at Leofish.com or conspiracyplanet.com and maintain
your brain in the right terrain. Until the Full Moon or sooner, don’t
be a loony tuner.
January
14 , 2006
It’s a Full Moon in the sign it rules, Cancer, the sign
of mom, food, home and family. It’s all about your needs and
it’s the time when werewolves come out. You know that each of
you have some of the untamed wild animal in you and every so often
a Full Moon comes along that has you jumping out of your skin in such
a passionate way that you don’t know how to handle yourself.
Oh wait…maybe it was the drugs. The intensity of this lunation
is increased by the inconjunct of the Moon to Pluto, causing emotional
stress and anxiety. The Sun moves into Aquarius this Thursday evening
and it’s time for changes, no matter how scary you think they
are. There is always someone who is greater jeopardy than you are.
Consider living in a war zone or in a gang-dominated neighborhood,
which is almost the same thing. Life is deadly and death is the beginning
of another life, if you can see it that way. Capricorn is the first
true winter sign, so it initiates the coldest time of the year and
signifies cold, barren control, while Cancer is more of the soft,
gentle nurturing warmth of summer in its fullness. So this winter
moon is cold and brittle and I shall speak of it, more than a little.
The
Sun and Venus retrograde are both opposite the Moon, so your needs
may be highlighted by the fact that you have some demands that you
want met and they are very personal. This is like the self-indulgent,
beauty lusting we crave, since the glamour magazines and TV shows
us that women are supposed to be skinny and playful, while having
their own lives, yet seek the company of a male partner for security
and love. Most images of women on TV are false and enhanced from raw
material, which is why actors spend so much time in make-up rooms,
costume shops, with personal trainers and on specialized diets. These
people are as manufactured as if you were singing the Body Electric.
Some of them look as if they have popped out of a mold, with little
true individuality, as many of them are less creative than re-creative
artists and I use that term loosely. I am saying that it is harder
to write a good, intelligent and effective script than it is to act
in a film of it.
The
Mars opposite Jupiter squares Neptune, making for a weak and passive
fight. Later in the year, Saturn will oppose Neptune, a time when
the powerful will be humbled by the wrath of the Creator, punished
for the evil he hath wrought and held to account by a higher authority.
Nah…I’m just shitting you. It might be Bush taking an
early retirement, ala Nixon’s resignation before impeachment
articles had been voted upon. Seriously, though, there should be some
major conflicts over religious views with this Senate Confirmation
hearing as the very hypocritical nature of a pro-life and pro-death
penalty can be rationalized under the same spiritual principles. Then
there is the issue of over-reaching powers by the president, seizing
the wartime opportunity to intimidate the opposition party and bait
them into in being wimpy about fighting for their beliefs. Another
facet of this aspect is the potential for drug overdoses, especially
with IV drug users, heroin addicts, speed shooters and other injected
drugs.
The
Sam Alito hearings bear out his preference for unchecked presidential
powers and limiting free choice concerning one’s body, along
with racist and sexist attitudes. He is certainly in favor of the
president being able to interpret new laws as they are to be applied,
which is not only unconstitutional but sounds imperialistic, at least.
He also has displayed a terrible memory for associations and affiliations
with groups of which he was proud to have been a part. I am referring
to the Federalist Society and CAPA, Concerned Alumni of Princeton
Assholes. They should specify that they are Republicans and it would
be CRAP. It’s interesting how he can remember miniscule details
from his early childhood or where boxes are checked on forms but events
from much more recently are vague and even lost to his conscious mind.
We ought to be able to put these judicial nominees on a polygraph
first! Did he mention that he had strong religious views and was heartily
supported by the abortion abolitionists of the extreme religious right?
You can’t call them pro-life when they feel no qualms about
murdering innocent people by bombing abortion clinics. He likes the
Philadelphia Phillies, having attended one of their fantasy camps,
both of which tell you what a loser he really is. Fans of baseball
who live in New Jersey have a choice of what home team to root for
and two of them are in New York and have shown a greater propensity
for success and going to the World Series. The Phillies have been
to the big show twice in my life; once, when they won in 1980 and
then in 1993. And only twice before did they appear, losing in 1915
and 1950. One championship in over a hundred years of existence is
pretty pathetic. This guy should strike out at the big league level
since he has Bush League views and that should warrant a Phillie-buster,
but he might just get confirmed, so I fear for those whose cases come
before the Supreme Court in the next few years.
Abortion
always seems to be the hot button issue out of fear that termination
of an unborn child ends the possibility for that soul to ever have
a life. Your soul is eternal and keeps returning. This is a facet
of the widespread belief and evidence of reincarnation, an absolute
fact in one of the oldest civilizations in the world, India. Reincarnation
is a reality, so the child you give birth to could be the killer you
executed. Hmm, there’s a thought to consider. If pro-life wants
a child to live and a criminal to die as well as soldiers and innocent
citizens in an illegal war, why don’t we call them pro-death,
except for fetuses? The death penalty allows criminals to escape confinement
with their souls in tact and their memories are attached to it. But
if you keep the killer in the joint with no connection to the outside
world and the worst ones get solitary with no contact, then you may
be able to reorient the soul by encouraging them to better their minds
through reading and expressing their hidden talents through art or
music or writing. Give them a pet, eventually, a cat, and let them
learn how to love a little at a time, when they are ready for it.
I don’t believe you should force the soul out of its temple
until it has had a chance for redemption of some sort. And I don’t
think it’s fair to make kids learn to be mothers when they haven’t
become adults yet, so abortion should be mandatory for girls under
18, without exception. If they want a child, they should have to go
to a class that instructs mothers-to-be in the necessary skills to
handle the responsibilities of parenthood. A commitment to education
should actually be motive enough to stay baby-free.
News
from the Kali-forn-ya Governator, he took a spill in his Gestapo-mobile,
the motorcycle with the sidecar, and split his lip, but his son wasn’t
a bit hurt in the accident. He doesn’t need to have a special
license to ride the bike if it has the sidecar on it, so maybe he
should learn to ride a two-wheeler. His mommy, Maria, has taken him
to task and has slapped some sense into him, maybe a little too little
and too late. I doubt if his incompetence will fail to be an issue.
An actor who doesn’t understand the ensemble and interactive
nature of the political process can never be a good administrator.
Mainly, he’s been tanking since Saturn entered Leo, his sign
and when Jupiter hit Scorpio, but especially when it hit Maria’s
Sun, she came into her power and rose to the job of redirecting her
loose cannon husband. Let’s say that his political style had
a little too much of Conan and too little of the sensitive character
he played in “Junior”, where he’s a pregnant doctor.
Maybe then he would notice how bad the healthcare system is in the
state and do something about it. Instead, he wants to borrow millions
and pay for it with cuts to the elderly, the poor and the infirm with
no tax increase to pay for it. Back in the days of fiscal responsibility,
it was a known fact that if the state needed money to build bridges
or roads, schools or public housing, taxes were raised to pay for
it. You would see signs that said, YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK. Now you
get appropriations that are funded by the future taxpayers of America
with no accounting or responsibility as to where the money comes from
or goes to. It’s just another reason why Arnold has to go and
we have to get a different party in there, since Gray Davis didn’t
workout so well, either. How about a Green Party candidate?
Staying
with politics for a little bit, it seems that, once again, Bush has
always had a problem with dissent and warns the Dems to watch what
they say or it could be interpreted as giving comfort to the enemy
and then they would be suffering at the ballot box. What?! Then he
challenged them about the economy. Well, once again, it depends to
whom the benefits go. As the market soars, wages fall, so for the
average citizen, it’s a horrible economy. People can’t
afford healthcare, let alone essentials or luxuries. This is how he
works with his delusional blame game mentality. Whenever anyone is
pointing a finger at him in an accusatory manor, he has to go into
a Human Torch-like Blame-on! He casts aspersions and insinuations
at the Democrats that are more in keeping with his modus operandi
than anyone else. I think Bush’s mindset on enemies is that
if you can’t beat them, beat them up and then cut them up and
put them in the wood chipper and spread it around the brush you’ve
been clearing. He’s hands are already dirty, so wouldn’t
it be fitting to have this one cost him his presidency, perhaps next
year after the Dems sweep both houses of congress.
Capricorn-Cancer
Full Moon brings up issues of food and weight as well as aging and
families. This Full Moon opposes Venus, so considering women’s
positions in the world today, they need to become more aware of how
their lot in life has been constrained by the dominant gender, men.
Especially bad is the plight of Middle Eastern Muslim women, whose
identities are hidden under layers of clothing that cover almost every
square inch of their bodies. Cancer is subconscious and instinctive,
while Capricorn is deliberate and strategic. As such, those who have
strong Cancer/Capricorn polarities may have food discipline problems
and need to have a stricter dietary regime. People who are overweight,
whether or not they have any other health risks, are more likely to
die of heart attacks, strokes and diabetes. So, it’s up to you
to get in shape. If I can do it, you can do it. I have 23% body fat
at this time, which could be lower but I am more aware of my eating
that I won’t gain all that much weight again. Capricorn is about
limiting oneself from indulgence in excess. It deals with restraint
and self-control, which requires discipline and a sense of ordered
purpose. What’s the point of doing something if there is no
purpose?
<Winter Moon – Stan Getz>
Much
of our predispositions have been formed by patterning on closely available
role models and in the absence of one, there is likely to be a transitional
period of chaos while the inner adult finds time to correct this liability.
It used to be that parents and close relatives formed the social environment
for a family of growing children and there was minimal outside intervention.
But for the last 50 years, the invasion of your homes by television
and the mass-market advertisers has been assaulting your senses at
twice the volume of the regularly scheduled program. It’s a
corporate conspiracy cornering consumers into paying attention and
programming them to pay money for products they don’t need or
are inferior to quality products from better companies who pay their
people to work more proficiently. I am referring to companies like
Wal-Mart, who outsource most of their manufacturing labor to China
and other Asian countries. It is typical of what has been happening
as the Republican-ization has turned Americans into also-rans in the
global network of original solutions or inventions that are relevant
to the future of the world. Case in point is the Detroit Car Show,
where muscle cars are back, despite higher gas prices that are again
increasing at a time when the Supreme Court is hearing a case on gasoline
price fixing in the late 90’s. It’s a conspiracy by oil
companies and automakers to keep cranking the gas-guzzlers out.
The
Stock Market has been soaring thanks to the opposition of Jupiter
to Mars, energizing it and the square to Neptune, deluding investors
into believing that the economy is good, when it’s only the
corporations boasting any earnings, as the workers are left with smaller
wages and benefits that disappear. Indeed, this is the worst economy
for the American worker, as jobs are scarce and are low-paying hospitality
jobs. An aircraft engineer isn’t going to be put to good use
cleaning house or being a plumber. Unions are being busted where it
hurts most; pensions and healthcare benefits. Now they have to contribute
more of their own money and get a lesser package at the end of their
employment. We waste so much of our money on disposable items and
packaging that adds significantly to the cost of distributing foods.
It is due to the enormity of the scope of the food industry and the
tremendous distances food has to travel to reach its destination.
It was much different before mechanization and faster shipping methods
as we were limited in the range those foods could be distributed.
A good economy can get better when workers are happy because they
are well paid and are able to have free time to travel or vacation
and the company they work for is able to turn a nice profit without
subsidies or tax breaks.
This
year, the economy is looking better, as Jupiter, the planet of expansion
and increase, is in Scorpio, the sign of collective resources, financial
institutions, banks, insurance companies, etc. That’s why things
seem good, but since it is Scorpio, whenever something looks too good
to be true, it turns around and stabs you in the heart. By the end
of this month, it squares Neptune and those who can see the deceptive
trend of the market will get out at that high point, but the square
will endure for a couple of months, so gauge it by how things go.
In June, Jupiter squares Saturn again and we hit a big bump in the
road. In September, it squares Neptune again and in October, Jupiter
and Saturn form the last square and the party will be over. In the
November Mid-Term Elections, Mercury will be retrograde and along
with the Sun and Venus, will square Neptune, with the Moon in Gemini
and people will be so disillusioned and feel like victims of a pyramid
scheme where they put in lots of their own money and see the guys
at the top reap all the rewards. Saturn and Pluto near a trine that
will be exact next year but the end of this year sees the beginning
of the end of government corruption on such a huge level and we’ll
see congress do something to regulate how money is raised or how lobbyists
work the congress.
Reforms
in energy are needed and California is on the move to get more into
solar energy with subsidies to business and residential users over
the next 11 years. This is just a beginning, since many mayors around
the country are doing their part to become more environmentally harmonious.
The better your environment, the happier and healthier people are
and with healthcare in such a crisis, it’s about making better
decisions with how to work the system. Wal-Mart has worked the system
to the point where they leech off the government by not hiring full-time
workers, teaching them how to obtain food stamps and welfare among
other services. Now, in Maryland, the lawmakers have stood up to the
retail mega-monster store and demand that they contribute to the health
insurance for their employees if they have over 10,000 in the state.
Wal-Mart, always seeking loopholes, will keep 9,999 employees in the
state so as to skirt the law.
In
other business news, there could be more diesel fuel cars on the road,
especially if there’s more bio-diesel fuel available around
the country. Supply and demand is usually the reason business takes
off but we have to create a new fuel source to compete with gasoline
to make them all cheaper. Bio-diesel is ideal, since it can be made
from many different food sources, including garbage and used cooking
oils. Until Americans are ready to accept hemp as the herbal and fuel
savior, we have to find other sources to tide us over. The plant was
made illegal because of political manipulation by the press owned
by powerful magnates who had oil and timber interests that were threatened
by hemp product manufacturing. In the Nixon years, he made it a Class
1 drug to be able to bust pot-smoking, peace loving, protesting hippies
more easily. Wouldn’t you know, Bush has the government up to
the same dirty tricks Nixon used against the people, like spying,
keeping track of protestors as though they were the terrorist threat
and students who speak out against the war. They all have been followed,
photographed, perhaps wiretapped because they are undermining the
government’s right to intimidate its citizens.
I
know we have a holiday on Monday for the great civil rights leader,
Rev. MLK. I have a dream, too. I dream that all people would learn
how to accept each other without judgment or prejudice. I have a vision
of a land where everyone works together and people aren’t homeless
or unemployed because the people would have nationalized medicine,
operating with a 90% success rate of prevention of deadly diseases.
I see a future where nations do not horde their knowledge or technology
but rather teach each other to learn things they have not been exposed
to, if it works to the benefit of those concerned. The forests will
be replanted and wildlife returned to its natural habitat, making
zoos obsolete and wildlife preserves will become the place to see
them in a happier setting. I smell a time ahead when the air will
be clean, the toxins will be removed from populated areas and the
water table kept from being further contaminated. I believe in a future
wherein we can learn to communicate better and have easy conversations
between differing factions as we explore what would work best for
all concerned. This is a time yet to come when there is no war because
it would not benefit anyone to fight it out.
<Last Night I had the Strangest Dream – S&G>
In
the world of sports, Kobe Bryant had a streak of 4 games with more
that 45 points, the first to do it since Wilt Chamberlain did it in
1964, although he had done it with regularity even before that. He
was a scoring machine and so is Kobe. But on Wednesday night, the
Blazers held Kobe to only 41 points and snapped the streak with a
loss in Portland. Still, the Virgo with Moon in Taurus has a lot of
talent and precision is one of them, however, his Mercury retrograde
in Leo makes only one planetary aspect; a trine to Neptune for the
incredible imagination and belief in himself that allows him to take
so many shots and be so creative with the ball, yet be a bit selfish,
too. But it’s because he’s so good that he can do that.
On the opposite side of the zodiac, you have Shaq, who is lazy and
could be so much better but focused on becoming a cop! How much time
could he have spent learning how to shoot free throws in those academy
hours? Kobe will spend more hours practicing because of that retrograde
than Shaq’s ADD Mercury in Aries.

I just heard that Angelina Jolie is pregnant with Brad’s baby
after she said she wouldn’t have any kids of her own as long
as there were orphans who needed adopting. Well now, hottie with the
hooters… You got some splainin’ to do.
Jan
14 Benedict Arnold was one of the American Revolution’s earliest
heroes, as he beat the British at Fort Ticonderoga and then went up
to Canada to flush them out from Montreal and somewhere along the
line, he got compromised. His chart is one of the more stark ones
I’ve seen and I’ve seen 100’s of thousands of charts,
it seems. It’s like one big opposition, with the Sun in Cap
opposite Mars in Cancer, Mercury on the South Node in Capricorn opposite
Jupiter/Neptune/ North Node in Cancer and the Moon and Venus in Sag
closely conjoined opposite the Gemini ASC. There are a couple of other
aspects; a quintile of his Sun to Pluto, which gave him a genius for
sabotage and betrayal, for which his name has long been known. His
name was synonymous with “traitor” for the longest time
and I wonder if still is. Saturn square Pluto is the breakdown of
authority and under duress, it’s easy for a man of mutable reactions
and subject to questioning regarding the proper use of power to lose
his way. Mercury opposite Jupiter/Neptune is the political confusion
or deception used to persuade him to become a turncoat.
15
Chad Lowe had been married to Hilary Swank for eight years and I looked
at their charts back in the summer but didn’t look to predict
much about their future. Well, now they have parted ways, amicably,
it seems and shall remain friends because they have a karmic connection,
which is why they lasted 8 years despite not being perfect for each
other. He has his Venus on her North Node and her Uranus is on his
South Node, so this isn’t really a shock to him as he is used
to the friendship aspect of their relationship and that can continue.
They have an intense and sexual friendship that had to evolve into
love, the great savior. Her Sun on his Moon was crushing his creative
expression by her overwhelming talent and range and strength, which
he has remarkably little of. His Sun and Mercury oppose his Moon in
Leo and focus too much of his psyche on his emotional needs. Mars
in Pisces opposes Jupiter in Virgo, of which those planets are doing
now, although in Taurus and Scorpio. Saturn in Leo right now is obviously
the culprit and she’s feeling it, I’m sure.
Joan d’Arc is the iconic Maid of Orleans who heard the voice
of a spirit guide that led her to battle the invaders and save her
people. Having Mars on her South Node meant she was a man in her previous
life and as such, fighting came quite naturally to her. Moon/Jupiter
in Libra trine Pluto gave her the insight and wisdom to command a
deadly force. Her Sun/Venus trine Saturn gave her the authoritative
presence in the line of duty, as a good Capricorn would. It was her
Mercury opposite Neptune that made her think she was hearing the voice
of God telling her to lead the people. Mars inconjunct Uranus could
account for some behavior that was perceived as crazy or insane.
MLK
had a dream or two because his Moon was in Pisces conjoining his Venus
in a trine to Pluto, so he was trying to change the world and got
things rolling nicely, until they shot him. They always kill the real
voices of social change but never the evil guys who need bumping off.
Jupiter trine Neptune and Saturn in a grand trine gave him wisdom
and perspective few had and many who heard would follow, as there
was so much inspirational truth he was speaking. With Mars opposite
Saturn, he would arouse the wrath of those whose lives would be changed
by his peaceful marches and the growing civil rights movement. Powerful
white men were among those enemies of Dr. King and when he said, “Free
at last…” I wonder how many of them were sad for their
own stupidity? His Mercury in Aquarius shows a bright intellect but
its lack of close contacts tells me that without connection, the mind
is a terrible thing to waste, but leading a cause for freedom would
help him connect to all of humanity. Pluto in the 9th house made this
transformation as far away as South Africa, as Steven Biko and Nelson
Mandela would have read about and heard about him.
16
Sade is the singer who was known for Smooth Operator and she must
have been. She may be a bit of a freak as she has Mars in Taurus opposite
Jupiter, square Uranus in Leo and Venus opposite Uranus squared by
Neptune, so she’s delusional about love or avoids it altogether.
Maybe it’s not being able to understand people or that she’s
been victimized in her past lives. She also has some kinky sexual
expressions and her Aries Moon on the South Node could be problem
emotions of a childish nature, impatient and trine Uranus, urges her
to connect with friends and attach a little too much with a needy
nature that can turn into an uncaring bitch. Her Mercury/Saturn is
in Capricorn trine Pluto, giving a shrewd business sense, with a touch
of ruthlessness, so she probably burned too many bridges.

It should be called the day of the heavyweight champ, since Ali and
Joe Frazier share this birthday according to one source, but another
one said that Joe’s was this past Thursday and anyway, they
were also both Olympic Gold Medal champions. Joe Frazier lost to Ali
in the Rumble in the Jungle, no…that was Foreman…it was
the Thrilla in Manila. Yeah, that’s it. Well, since it’s
really only Ali’s birthday, I’ll take a look at his chart.
With Moon, Mercury and Venus retrograde in Aquarius, he had natural
athletic ability and agility. His intelligence and memory were enhanced
by the trine to Jupiter, which also made him very funny and boastful.
His Sun trine Saturn and Uranus made for the discipline and uniqueness,
as well as athletic training until he was a master of the art of boxing.
Completing a grand trine was Neptune in Virgo for the poetry and gracefulness,
wherein he “floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee.”
Mars in Taurus square Pluto and the Sun gave him anger and a devastating
left hook.
Ben
Franklin I have written about extensively and you can get his profile
in last January’s archives.
Jim Carrey in Man in the Moon portrayed Andy Kaufman and they both
had this birthday. Of course, they are both crazy, with Mercury in
Aquarius and aspects to Neptune…Andy had Mercury trine Neptune
but opposite Pluto, while Jim has Mercury square Neptune and strange
voices pop out of his mouth while he’s sleeping. Andy had his
Mercury conjunct Mars, so he could play clueless simpleton or asshole
jerk with ease and with Moon in Virgo conjunct Saturn, the jerk was
closer to the real deal, especially with a square to Chiron in Sag.
His Sun made only one aspect and it was an inconjunct to Uranus, otherwise
also unaspected. Jim has the same aspect and for Uranus, there are
no other aspects, but the Sun conjoins Venus and while that’s
not much, it makes him a little better with relationships than Andy.
At least he gives the appearance of being pleasant.
<REM - Man on the Moon>

Kevin Costner has Sun opposite Jupiter and Uranus square Neptune,
so is under the delusion that he actually has real acting talent when
he can’t even sustain an accent for an entire movie, as in Robin
Hood, Prince of Thieves. His only convincing work is in sports movies,
especially the baseball ones, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams and then
there was For the Love of the Game, which my wife and I called For
the Love of God! He’s okay in westerns, although I’ve
never felt he had the real authenticity that Clint Eastwood brought
to the genre, but Clint was raised on the stuff. Maybe his Sag Moon
makes him right for the sports and western themes as well as the light
romantic comedies. As for developing characters with psychological
profiles and back stories, he can’t get that part quite right.
A.A.
Milne authored “Winnie the Pooh” and is well known to
millions of readers. He was a double Capricorn with Mars on the Gemini
ASC, as near as I can figure, and a lot of trines from Capricorn to
Taurus, including Moon to Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter, giving a stable,
imaginative and good-humored natured. Venus trine Neptune and Jupiter
make for an understanding nature and well off financially. Sun trine
Pluto gave an intense personality but not a violent one. Uranus is
in Virgo in trines to Jupiter and Neptune in Taurus and Moon and Venus
in Cap, which adds uniqueness and originality. Mercury in Aquarius
square Saturn made him brilliant and hard-working, as his father was
a headmaster at a boy’s school. Mars in Gemini on the ASC makes
sense for the stroke that kills him, especially with it in an exact
quincunx to the Sun. Strokes are caused by blood clots in the brain
so it makes sense to have Scorpio, sign of blood, on the cusp of the
6th house of health.
Emmanuel Chabrier is the composer of Espana and other pieces that
aren’t played very often, yet still sparkle. His Moon in Sag
conjunct Jupiter accounts for the liveliness of the music and the
Venus in Pisces on Uranus makes for the rhythmic bounce he put into
his phrases.

Robert Palmer died a couple of years ago and while he was alive, he
was a very popular singer…Simply Irresistible. With Leo rising
and Moon in Libra, it’s no wonder he wrote about love and relationships,
but with Moon square Venus, they were never easy and there was often
a problem with who’s in control of the money. With Mercury conjunct
Mars in Aquarius, he was smart and innovative, as in his music video
for the song, “Addicted to Love”, but the opposition to
Pluto on the ASC made him obsessive and self-destructive. The cause
of death is listed as a heart attack but with the drugs that a Jupiter
square Neptune can put away, it’s likely that it contributed
to a failure of the cardiovascular system. Plus, with Sun inconjunct
Uranus, there might have been some heart arrhythmia or some deformity
of the valve. Ultimately, the Sun square the nodes shows a problem
with the energy of the Sun and it is a karmic issue that refers to
skipping steps of evolution. Actually, that’s more about the
emotional immaturity and codependency, so not really the medical aspect.

Fareed Zacharia is a writer for Newsweek magazine and frequent guest
on The Daily Show as well as a regular on This Week in Washington
with George Stephanopolis. He has Mercury in Cap rising before his
Sun, labeling it the oriental indicator and indicating a career in
some form of communications. Mercury trine Uranus makes for genius,
intellectual brilliance and lightning quick thoughts that lean on
progressive ideas. Mercury also is sextile Venus in Pisces, allowing
him to be sensitive in interpersonal relationships. Saturn square
Neptune is the case of the disappearing or absentee father, sometimes
through mysterious circumstances, other times because of alcohol or
drugs. Moon in Pisces shows a family history of such tendencies, so
watch out, kids, if you have these aspects in your chart. You may
just be delusional enough to think you, too, can write for Newsweek.
Federico
Fellini is the gifted but strange Italian director with multiple fetishes,
I’m sure. Uranus trines Mars and Pluto, both, so sexual experimentation
is a certainty, just as Venus in Sag trine Jupiter opens one up to
many relationship opportunities and there are always more to come.
What most grabbed me and I’m sure they were a bit of an issue
for him too, was the Sun/Moon/Mercury square Mars, which can make
one irritable, impatient and verbally confrontational, with some anger
towards the mother and a little self-loathing, as well. He also had
the notorious Scorpio-Taurus nodes, which mark him as a hedonist.
Jupiter conjunct Neptune makes for a great filmmaker but it did nothing
to redeem his soul or incorporate the ideals into his daily life.
As such, there is little spiritual evolution in his life process.
Many people face this in one form or another.
We
live in world that practices dozens of forms of religion but has little
spiritual faith in an eternal life and when you explain that reincarnation
fits the bill, they shut down and don’t want to hear it. Capricorn
is about mastery of the material plane while Aquarius is the liberation
of the individual. After so many structures and limitations have been
placed on you, one has to liberate the soul and free the body so as
not to stagnate. As we move into the sign of the future, let us remember
the friends, groups and important associations that have a significant
impact on how we advance into our potential. Astrology is an Aquarian
science, no matter what physical scientists think. It has roots as
far back as Atlantis, another place consigned to the realm of imagination
or theory, and moved forward in Egypt and Babylon. Our souls have
their roots back ever farther in time, all the way back to the big
bang at the moment of all creation. But where were we before that?
What was before the beginning of time? What will happen after the
world ends? Will the universe collapse back in on itself and return
to a single point in space and create another big bang? If you ask
me, we all need another chance to get this right. Maybe an astrology
reading is just what you need to begin your new life’s direction.
You’ll get a big bang out it.
January
21 , 2006
Oh the humanity! Aquarius is all about it and it is the future now.
The Moon is in Libra, the sign of the 7th house but just moved below
the horizon minutes ago and Jupiter is aligned with Mars. Neptune
is still in a square to the opposition but I think it’s making
a lot of people think about the future and one of the words that keep
coming up is reform, while another is impeachment. They don’t
understand that to move to improve the system of corruption with more
obfuscation and new rules that they will find ways to circumvent or
outright violate, anyway, doesn’t really help, like a band-aid
on Chicken Pox. Wake up to a new way of doing life, people. Everyday
is a rat race to dominate others and make more than the other guy
or have a nicer car. Whoever made it about winning was not paying
attention to the spiritual lessons in life that really matter. There
are so many things we have to do as evolving souls that concerning
yourself with competition is to indulge in the ego’s perspective
of having attention and praise lavished on them for having bested
an opponent. Aquarius is the ultimate team sign because it is about
the group advancing to the finals and playing the most highly skilled
and best executed play possible because excellence is often more important
than winning because it leads to winning and playing better. But ultimately,
you compete against yourself and your success is your own.
The
Sun is the center of your essence, as in the ego and will to express
your true self, which is buried under layers of karmic defense mechanisms.
We fear what we were when we were bad people because we don’t
want to be that again, but old patterns die hard. The Sun is approaching
a conjunction with Chiron, an indication that there is something wrong
and unhealthy on a grand scale. Aquarius is the sign of universalism
and the Sun is personal, while Chiron shows the wounds that affect
the egocentric fool. With the nearing Saturn opposition, it’s
a foregone conclusion that there will be further tales from the wounded
leader or father. This is a major issue and can lead to things like
impeachment, which even Arlen Specter mentioned on George Stephanopolis’
show, This Week in Washington. So this week we’ll see if the
Democrats really have the balls to follow Patrick Leahy’s lead
to vote against Alito and filibuster him into limbo. Limbo lower now!
How low can you go?
Aquarius
is the sign of friends and groups, networking and associating with
interesting or powerful and important people. Sounds like a lobbyist!
Congress will try to clean itself up but we all know that’s
impossible with all three branches of government ruled by a single
party. There’s absolutely no oversight and until they abolish
the K Street project that Tom DeLay and Jack-off started where all
the lobbyists had to be Republican to work the street and get access,
you won’t see any real results. Reforms are needed, yada, yada
as they yap their flapping traps and out comes nothing but crap. They
will do something but they are trying to cover their own asses and
voters need to see that clearly. If they vote for the real reforms
that change the way business is done, then you’ll see the Democrats’
plan be the one implemented, but don’t really count on it. The
plan should have every congressman who took bribes to put through
legislation be fined and fired, never again permitted to enter into
politics. But the GOP won’t do anything but mild alterations
in the rules and tightening of time limits between the revolving door
from public to private sectors, since petitioning the government is
one of the first amendment’s rights.
This
is the sign of principles and ideals, along with humanitarian programs
that help those who can’t help themselves. This is the sign
of Edison, FDR, Lincoln and other visionaries who saw a better world
for all mankind. Our great leaders are all progressive thinkers and
doers just as Jesus was about the most liberal and progressive person
of his time and perhaps of all time. We need change now. It is time
to reform the American Dream from Greed to Need and not in a way that
becomes overly socialistic, just realistic that people who have billions
of dollars need to stop earmarking their phony charity contributions
to their mate’s favorite interest group. There is a tradition
among the wealthiest classes that the rich take care of the poor and
the best way is to educate them. Addressing the needs of the many
in ways that can be born by the few wealthiest one percent is the
morally ethical and responsible thing to do. Simple shelter for those
who are homeless, food and clothing from donated sources should be
easy enough to procure through faith-based initiatives, which are
a sham and a shame that they would have to be governmentally sanctioned
to do good works for the community. When churches raise money to build
bigger and better churches, it’s not about the people in the
community that need help but an attempt to show off what they perceive
to be God’s house. Our liberation requires better separation
of church and state while we progress to a nation that will tolerate
freedom from religion.
One
of the reasons people fled to the New World was to be away from the
Inquisitions and religious oppressions that dominated Europe in the
15th and 16th centuries. Persecution of the Jews began again in 1492
in Spain and they were driven out or invited to leave, along with
their dark-skinned African friends, the Moors. Some went to Eastern
Europe to find freedom, some to the Western Hemisphere toward an adventurous
life. Our founding fathers made sure they did not invoke religious
authority in any way on the people of this country for those very
reasons. That the Religious Right wants to do that very thing is wrong
in a democracy. They have been wrong about so many things throughout
history and now they are trying to correct one of their misconceptions
because they refuse to accept reincarnation as part of the Christ
teachings. They have eliminated Limbo, which is the place where infants
go when they die so young and without sin. If they would just see
that the spirit is the eternal soul and is on a continual search for
the experience God has offered, they would be in a whole lot better
standing with the creative power of the universe. They just have to
extend Christ’s words that you must be born again and again
until you learn how to love one another.
I
am reading this book that was written in the 70’s called Ecotopia,
which describes a future breakaway country of the Northwestern states
and Northern California. It paints a picture of a cooperative culture
of recyclers and bio-tech innovators, who ride bikes and take mag-lev
trains as well as hunt and fish in the pristine restored wilderness
of renewed forests and pastures. Small collective farms replace giant
factory farms and produce is sold where it is produced to minimize
transportation costs and labor plus the trucks that haul the produce.
Have you ever seen a tractor trailer overturn with a load of lemons
or tomatoes on the freeway? It’s a mess! They would have no
more freeways because few people actually would need a car and if
so, they would use bio-diesel fuel as petroleum was outlawed for everything
but lubrications and they have a few others that work for that, like
hemp oil and jojoba oil. Desert nurseries could grow plenty of jojoba
and less harsh lands are fine for hemp, since it will grow anywhere.
So,
a new tape of Bin Laden has surfaced and the GOP, they could be called
Grossly Overreaching Pigs, have already politicized it to spread fear
and concern that only by reauthorizing the Patriot Act and continuing
NSA and FBI wiretaps will we be safe. Bullshit. We don’t need
to limit our freedoms and liberties to stop a terrorist attack. We
need intelligence, but not the kind these people think because they
have so little intellectual acuity that to call them dumb is an insult
to dumb people. These right-wingers cut the CIA’s budget to
prevent them from hiring Arabic translators, just the thing we needed
in the post-cold war against religious fundamentalism and that’s
a battle on two fronts. Evangelical Christians are as much a threat
to our civil rights and liberties as Islamic fundamentalism. Pitching
one extremist group against another like this can lead to an endless
war, which is what it would become and a collapse of the US economy
from debt and deficit would be result. We would all have to learn
Mandarin as a second language or maybe Japanese, as well as Arabic.
That would be a scary world to live in and that’s what our leaders
are leaving for our children and their kids. And I doubt that they
will have the planet survive to a sustainable level during those later
days. There needs to be a significant course correction in the use
of energy if we are to have any legacy at all.
In
medical news, it turns out that baby aspirin taken every day can help
prevent strokes in women but heart attacks in men. It is much more
likely that a man will suffer a heart attack than a woman. And the
Supreme Court upheld an Oregon Right-to-die law, which could lead
the way to California adopting it and Arnold better not stand in the
way or he’ll be terminated. Speaking of terminations, Clarence
Allen, of Native American descent said as a farewell, “Hoka
Hey, it’s a good day to die.” He enjoyed his buffalo steak
heartily and was executed with no great fanfare. California should
not be killing people with lethal injections when it’s just
as easy to put a guy out in the middle of the freeway and let him
be a crash test dummy. Take the best shooters from murderer’s
row and send them into Iraq and Afghanistan and show the enemy no
mercy. The problem is, they would be difficult to command and control,
plus they would have to be kept away from civilians, especially female.
There
are better ways to die than in a chair or on a desert road a third
of the way around the world. I would like to go to sleep and wake
up on the other side, a higher vibrational dimension where you can
tap into any resource or field of study so that you are ready for
what you want to create in your next lifetime. If you always look
to the future, you are participating in creating it by visualizing
what you imagine. The people who die fast without planning the next
life get stuck doing what they just did in their past life or what
others lead us into. So many of us have to go through a transition
of letting go of the past that it’s like an onion peeling off
layer after layer and revealing those past life issues that can either
be expressed in positive ways or eliminated as wasted efforts. Each
life is a layer and as you get to the essence of your being, you’ll
find it to be a blend of many of those lifetimes because they have
made you what you are today. You are also what you are because of
who you have always been but different circumstances bring out different
qualities within different situations. By the way, what is the state
of your onion?
<Copland – Sunday Traffic>
Some
people are of the opinion that we are going to be hit by the bird
flu pandemic more easily than a terrorist attack. In fact, this is
probably why Osama has offered us a truce…he knows this is coming
to our shores and it could affect more people than any attack they
could have made. And there you have karma working against us, since
this country’s corporations have created much of the bad economic
karma around the world. They have pushed industrialization further
and faster than the Earth can sustain and we need to move into the
future by reinventing techniques from the past. We need a lot of new
materials for electronic devices that don’t cause horrible pollution,
radiation or toxins. There are so many things killing us that it’s
truly shocking to find out the worst killer of all is…us. And
teenage drivers account for such a large number of traffic deaths
that it’s annually more lives than we’ve lost in Iraq.
You think there are tragedies happening over there and you’d
be right, but there are far more happening on our roads and caused
by our kids, particularly 15-17 years old. They get into cars while
under the influence of alcohol or drugs or cell phones and even the
peer pressure to perform a stupid stunt that causes them to have an
accident, which are ruled by Uranus and Aquarius. It’s no coincidence
that these accidents are happening all the time and kids aren’t
informed or educated enough to understand the dangers involved in
their activities. Wake up, parents and teach your kids to straighten
up and fly right.
For
some people, that means getting married and settling down, which favors
a more prosperous life, as a study has shown that divorce is the fastest
way to lose money. About half, in the cases of a few friends of mine,
and that’s way too much money. My brother was constantly pestered
by his ex-wife and she took him to the cleaners in the divorce but
she has gotten hit by karma and paid the price. My other brother,
my sister and myself are still doing well with our first mates and
everything is ship shape and smooth sailing. But all of us are in
harmonious matches, with Sun sextile Sun, at least by sign in each
case. My Leo brother has chosen a Capricorn and an Aquarius, so just
doesn’t get it, but Leos do like a challenge.
The
French woman who had a face transplant went back to smoking, which
could lead to tissue rejection and she will lose face over that. I
have no info on her, so I can only say she’s a stupid addict
who would rather get her fix than her face. Many people who have addictive
tendencies might have strong retrogrades, Mercury, Gemini or the 3rd
house activities or Mercury on the South Node and maybe Chiron in
Gemini or the 3rd. This might also indicate lung allergies or communication
disorders, as you can’t use one factor to assess an individual’s
problems. There has to be a recurrent theme in order for an issue
to be significant. Gerald Ford has pneumonia and was admitted to a
hospital to make sure our oldest president doesn’t croak before
he’s really ready to go. I can’t say I have any affection
for one of the conspirators in the cover-up of JFK’s assassination
as a member of the Warren Commission. His natal Mercury squares Mars,
an indication of irritation or infection in the lungs and Mercury
rules the South Node, so there it is as a ready-made potential killer.
With the fixed T-Cross we’ve had hitting him right on the Mercury
degree, it is no wonder that he’s in the hospital. Neptune opposes
it and the Mars/Jupiter opposition squares it, so he’s getting
hammered and later on in the year, Saturn lands right on top of that
Mercury, stopping his breath, perhaps not taking away his breath in
the figurative way, but actually ending his life in August. I want
to see if this prediction comes to pass, and you know, I don’t
tend to predict death.
In
the darker side of health problems, Leif Garrett is a heroin addict
and was caught and busted being the self-destructive Scorpio he is
and also under direct assault from the Mars-Jupiter-Neptune T-Cross.
His Sun and Moon are conjoining Neptune natally and are being squared
by Neptune for his escapist drug use. Jupiter is on the Scorpio planets,
hence the risky behavior and the excessive indulgence in such a life-destroying
drug. Mars opposite his stellium is the needle and the approaching
Saturn square will happen this summer, so he’ll be sent to the
slammer or maybe be lucky enough with Jupiter on his Sun to get a
rehab sentence and be ordered to clean up his act and do drug diversion
courses and community service. His Mercury/Venus in Libra are square
his Saturn in Cap and Jupiter in Aquarius straddling the cusp, so
manic/depression is a possibility, especially if he’s seeking
attention by acting out of frustration from not working.
Oprah
and Elie Wiesel are going to Auschwitz together for a holocaust awareness
trip. If they air it in the Arab countries, it will deflect the statements
of the crazy Iranian president. Both are survivors of some pretty
horrific stuff but Oprah has had a positive attitude and has helped
so many people. Her birthday is next week, so I’ll go more into
her story then and perhaps will learn more about this scheduled trip
she’s taking with Wiesel.
Ray
Nagin has gone too far in declaring that God is real angry at New
Orleans. Perhaps because he’s a Gemini with Mercury on the South
Node in the same sign gives credence to the fact the he doesn’t
know what the hell he’s saying half the time or that he’ll
just change position later on. God hates the people of his city. Really…you
have personalized God to the point where you have given him human
feelings and reactions, having created Him in your own image, rather
than the other way around. God has no anger, wrath or any other emotion.
He isn’t a jealous God and doesn’t punish anyone, no matter
what your moronic religious leaders say. Too many of them have become
so disengaged from spirit and too much into the evils of political
manipulation and attempting to remake your country into a theocracy.
It would be an awful thing to have happen, stripping your nation of
the very freedoms it was founded upon. God, if it were possible for
Him to care about your petty struggles of physical dominance over
each other, would pity you for your foolishness regarding what you
fixate on as important or consider relevant morals and values. Basing
a religious view on things like abortion and gay marriage has been
a diversion from having people focus on the real issues of jobs and
wages, health care and other benefits that have been stripped from
pensions, just as they, too, are disappearing.
Al
Gore has taken the Bush administration to task for committing a series
of crimes against America. In particular, the domestic spying agenda
that has both the left and some on the right up in arms regarding
its complete disregard for the constitution. If he had shown as much
in the way of balls in 2000 as he has of late, he would have won convincingly
and there would have been no need for a recount. Dealing with the
current infringement on American’s right to privacy, Gore said
we need a special counsel since Alberto Gonzales has an obvious conflict
of interest, being so close to the evil master of Pennsylvania Avenue.
He has a natal Moon in Capricorn and has been too cautious but now
it has progressed into Aquarius and his progressed Sun is in the 11th
and his minor Sun is exactly on his ASC, so he has come into his own
and may want to have the power by 2007 so as to mount a campaign.
Speaking of which, public access to the candidates on TV paid for
by taxpayers and public service TV, is the logical way to go. Most
voters have television access and can watch the platforms and messages
of the candidates’ programs without bashing their opponents.
No more smear ads and no more PAC attacks like the Swift Boat ads.
We have to change the ways people get elected and that includes eliminating
the need for fundraising by making all air time free to the candidates.
Now
Hilary is speaking out, calling the Bush administration the worst
in our history and I agree with her. Republicans decry her comments
as having gone too far but they are defending an indefensible president
who has violated 8 amendments and several laws. I suppose she’s
gearing up for her presidential run in ’08 but she has a lot
of explaining to do about some of her positions, including the war
in Iraq. I know people think she’s the future of the party,
but I see that as Barack Obama. Al Gore is the bridge to a better
time in the White House but Hilary brings back bad memories that have
stuck in people’s minds. Granted, most of them are Republicans
and have listened to Fox News for too long and have had their brains
melted by the hypnotic bloviations of the nut jobs who are able to
get air time while astrology is marginalized on national radio…for
now.
Wilson
Pickett just died this week. He was a Pisces with Sun opposite Neptune
and transiting Pluto came along and squared that. Saturn also squared
its natal position. I guess he doesn’t need to wait ‘til
the midnight hour anymore. <song>
<Newsmakers
and Earthshakers>
Jan 21 Geena Davis portrays the first female president in Commander
in Chief and shows the difficulty of balancing a family and running
a government and dealing with international issues as leader of the
free world. Her chart shows her ready for just about any challenge,
as Aquarius is the sign of surprises and her Sun opposes Uranus, so
she seems be to attracting them everywhere. Her Moon in Taurus opposes
Neptune, and for all the actors she has dealt with in life, she knows
them well enough to marry someone outside the business. Her Venus
in Pisces squares her Mars/Saturn in Sag, so her strong yang energy
is a little offset by Venus in its exaltation. Her Mercury is retrograde
in Aquarius at the same degree and condition as Ben Franklin, but
he has aspects to it, whereas, she doesn’t and may not invent
anything or write a new constitution, but she is very bright and progressive.
Aquarians envision the future as they idealize it but can also see
it as it will be, when they are in the moment of clarity in the now.
Her Moon square Sun and Uranus makes it difficult to form deep intimate
emotional bonds. The Neptune could be about acting or victimization
in a past life, leading to compassion in this life. Venus trine Neptune
is enough for her to have significant acting talent. Venus opposite
Jupiter might attract a lot of Sag types and the Pluto opposition
Venus is that deep, compassionate soul that wants to help you redeem
another dark, tortured soul. Mars/Saturn is square the Jupiter/Pluto
as well, so there might be a lot of anger and highly explosive temperament.
With North Node in Sagittarius, the world of politics opens up new
dimensions in her experience and may lead to another career as a politician,
although she should act as long as she gets good roles.
22
Linda Blair, Olivia D’Abo, Diane Lane, actresses all and Sir
Francis Bacon are on this day along with the late, great Sam Cooke.
<Wonderful
World – Sam Cooke>
Sam Cooke was one of the greatest performers of his time in a life
that would have been longer had he not been murdered in a set-up that
has been covered up by the LAPD, if they ever really knew anything,
anyway. Since I am familiar with his life and his chart, it showed
up that everything that happened would happen at the time it occurred,
even describing the environment of the scene of the crime. As an Aquarian
with Moon in Pisces, he was a free spirit from a religious family,
his father was an itinerant preacher and the kids sang in the choir.
With Mercury in Capricorn, Sam thought with a business mind, mindful
of his creative gifts and using them to achieve success. Venus in
Sag square Moon in Pisces made for a situation wherein lots of women
were at his disposal and he had an emotional need system that could
never get enough. With Uranus square the opposition of Saturn to Jupiter/Pluto
there is the possibility of sabotage by an opportunistic partner who
was no real friend, despite protestations to the contrary. Mars in
Leo opposite the Sun attracts strong competition as well as an attacker.
Ceres on the Libra South Node square the Saturn/Jupiter/Pluto is the
lack of maternal nurturing and the overcompensation with sex and emotional
experiences that provide the thrill. Mercury trine Neptune gave him
a good musical gift and psychic intuition but Mercury square Uranus
puts it into a case where he knows that he knows but when he doesn’t
know, he doesn’t know why he doesn’t know. The grand trine
of Mars to Venus to Uranus in fire signs gave that great energy and
easy flow of musical style and the ability to go with any style at
all, as well as creating his own.

Richard Dean Anderson, is better known as McGiver or Jack O’Neill,
depending on which of his series you watched. This is the man whose
character is associated with gerry-rigging almost anything imaginable
and able to break into or escape impossible situations. A double Aquarius
with Moon in Aries makes for a quick and resourceful person who knows
how to survive. Venus is retrograde conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius so
may have made a lot of money and fallen in love many times, but there
is always something fateful to the real deep ones that strike a personal
chord and it may cause him to back off personally. His Moon is opposite
Mars on the South Node, so you have the warrior who died in combat
in WWII and he gets cast as a military man in Stargate SG-1. Mercury
retrograde in Capricorn flashbacks have given him memories he has
used although the square to Neptune gives him dreams he’d rather
not have. His Venus/Jupiter opposition to Pluto attracts unsavory
characters and gold-digging bitches from hell, who fall for a handsome
man and find him to be alien compared to their mundane, banal and
pedestrian lives. Still, it’s an aspect of death or divorce,
especially with Pluto in the 7th house. They even worked it into the
Stargate script, that his son killed himself with his gun. Moon square
Uranus is family craziness, separation as well as accidents. Moon
opposite Mars are the family fights and the need to break free of
their influence is the square to Uranus.
It is also the birthday of Humphrey Bogart, Manet, Django Reinhardt,
and John Hancock.
24
Hadrian was an Emperor of Rome and some say he was the best, possibly
because of the Venus and Mars in Pisces, so he built great works for
the people and supported the arts. Mercury and Saturn trine Neptune
contributes to the strong appreciation of the arts, as well as his
ability to use that influence over the people. Entertain them and
they are your audience. Jupiter in late Capricorn conjoined his early
Aquarius Sun and Moon so he was able to be generous to them as a strategic
advantage. But the square to Neptune they formed caused a problem
with deception, dissipation and confusion.
Of the others who share this day, Oral Roberts is an angry preacher
whose fear of God loses something in the translation. Moon/Pluto in
Cancer leads to an obsession with his mother but the opposition to
Mercury and their square to Mars makes it a difficult task to communicate
without irritating the hell out of each other. He has Saturn/Neptune
opposite his Sun, so projects religious control and patriarchal domination,
not real acceptance and understanding.
Warren Zevon was a double Aquarius with Aries rising and Mars on the
Sun/Mercury opposite Saturn/Pluto, so live fast and die young because
it was just a matter of time. He died of lung cancer, hence the Mercury-Saturn-Pluto
connection. Mercury also square Chiron sets it up as well.
Mariska Hargitay is the actress whose mother was Jayne Mansfield.
Elliott Abrams is a little under the radar but he’s one of the
darker Neo Cons and is already a convicted felon, even before he began
working for this White House. He’s so much of the same shit
as I’ve already discussed, I will look into him another time.
25
Antonio Carlos Jobim is one of my favorite international jazz musicians,
as I love the soft, swaying sound of the bossa nova and the samba.
His rhythmic vitality is displayed by his Aquarius Sun/Mercury conjunction
and Venus is a bit later in the sign. Plus his Pisces ASC has Uranus
rising in the first just a few degrees from it and Jupiter in the
12th in Pisces also gives excellence in his musical life and a guardian
angel to watch over him. Moon in Libra sextile Neptune is another
natural flow of a musical gift from his soul, while his Mars in Taurus
sextile Pluto in Cancer provides a rebirthing of the physical vitality
in a sultry and emotionally passionate sensuality that burns at a
low but intense heat. Saturn in Sag square Jupiter in Pisces may have
stopped him from physically traveling all that much during his life,
he died in ’94, but it certainly didn’t stop Joao Gilberto
from spreading the tunes internationally. It could have been the Moon
in Libra trine Jupiter that facilitated that connection.
<Bim Bom>
Conrad
Burns is the corrupt Senator from Montana who has taken money from
Jack-off. So what’s so bad about Burns? Well, for starters,
he has Mercury conjunct Venus and Saturn all square Jupiter in Scorpio,
making him a liar and an opportunist. He uses people and manipulates
them because he wants more than he has earned and is ruthlessly dedicated
to doing almost anything to get it. He’ll promise things and
not deliver and not just because he’s a politician. The Moon
conjunct Mars has appeared in the charts of many megalomaniacs, like
Hitler, Barbara Bush, Saddam Hussein and a few others. His is in Libra
and the Mars squares Pluto, causing angry outbursts and sexual appetites
that get out of control. With Pluto the nearest body to the South
Node and conjoining it within less than 7 degrees, one might surmise
some suspicion, obsession or secretiveness about what’s a gross
invasion of our privacy rights. This guy has Uranus square Pluto,
which could be construed as the destruction of our freedoms and civil
liberties. His Aquarius stellium of Mercury, Venus and Saturn, forms
an inconjunct to Pluto producing corruption in spades but Neptune
has no planetary aspects at all, so he is unredeemed. It’s a
strange vibration this creates. Saturn sextile Pluto brings him quite
a lot of powerful people with an awful lot of money and who use it
in ways that destroy our people and planet. While he has a trine of
those Aquarian planets to Mars in Libra, it doesn’t help because
Mars just facilitates his will to yield to power and the shadow government
gets away with it!
John Belushi and Virginia Woolf also were born on the 25th.
26
Ellen Degeneris has evolved into an excellent TV show host and I suppose
will never wear a dress in her life. She has some deeply ingrained
attitudes about role relations that are as unconventional as would
be expected of an Aquarian. But she’s never really cared what
people think about her personally, since her Moon in Aries doesn’t
care. That it’s trine the Mars/Saturn conjunction in Sag reinforces
the likelihood that she was a man in her previous life. Her retrograde
Venus on her Sun adds the weight of unique appeal and attractiveness.
It has aspects that are almost standard in the gay community, with
the Sun/Venus opposite Uranus for the unconventional, the square to
Neptune for the misunderstood and confused victim of circumstance.
Jupiter is 3 and a half degrees away from Neptune, so there’s
the humor, which Mercury in Capricorn compliments with timing and
hesitations that increase the humorous impact of a twist in the logic.
Wayne Gretzky, known as the great one, is the NHL’s greatest
player ever, although a few like Mario Lemieux would challenge that
claim.
Paul Newman just won a Golden Globe for his work in Empire Falls,
a made-for-cable movie and it was an excellent film. Almost everything
he’s ever done had some elements of excellence and is always
interesting to watch.
Others on this day are David Strathairn, Roger Vadim, the director
and General Douglas MacArthur.
27
Mozart, Lewis Carroll and many artists and musicians share this birthday.
Wolfgang Mozart has always held people in rapt wonder that such incredible
music came so fast and freely to the child prodigy until his early
death at 36. Forty-one symphonies, a dozen of which are masterpieces,
27 piano concertos and many other concerted works along with many
chamber and solo works makes us incredulous as to what he might have
evolved into had he lived as long as, say Beethoven at 57. Another
21 years and he could have opened up whole new worlds in the way music
is performed. Aquarians are originators and inventors, coming up with
unique expressions of familiar forms until they are ready to change
the forms altogether. It’s what they do. They shock, amaze and
surprise you at every opportunity. In Mozart’s chart, Neptune
was opposite his Sun, Mercury and Saturn, giving a powerful focus
on his true calling. Mars retrograde in Cancer acts like its opposite
sign and drives the car all the way to the finish line. The trine
to Venus is why it all came across so pleasantly and why his marriage
was so easy. Uranus in Pisces on the South Node is the source of his
genius and the Moon/Pluto square to it caused his obsessive/compulsive
qualities. Jupiter sextile to the Moon/Pluto made him highly prolific
in his musical output.
John
Roberts has already been thoroughly questioned and we have studied
the chart and interpreted it for its karmic implications. There are
precedents and he just showed himself to be a rubber stamp for the
Bush administration in the Oregon assisted suicide decision. He teamed
with Scalia and Thomas in dissenting that the states have the right
to allow terminally ill patients to die to ease their suffering and
the emotional and financial burden on their survivors. In this day
and age of horrible life-ending diseases, why should people be made
to suffer from what was never their fault in most cases. Toxic waste,
radiation exposure, and who knows how many other things that cause
cancer that the government doesn’t tell you about and won’t
because they have deregulated industry and downsized any EPA superfund
cleanups, diverting the money into the war effort. They keep trying
to rally America by cheerleading the troops or proclaiming progress
but things are breaking down over there and there are few solutions.
With that, may I suggest some? Get out fast! Let them have their mess.
This
year, Saturn is on the nation’s North Node, showing that it’s
time for leaders to take responsibility and command some respect by
living up to their best potential. What it has actually done is drawn
our attention to the high and mighty egos that will fall and need
to fall in the fall November elections. Uranus is square to its natal
position in the US chart, indicating a time for sudden and abrupt,
even revolutionary changes to be made. Chiron is near the South Node,
indicating the very wounds that involve the underdogs and the disenfranchised.
It is time for them to register and exercise their right to vote and
bring in as many people of color as well as colorful people in to
the House and Senate. We are descended from tribes of communal warriors,
hunters and gatherers and some people have returned, in part, to their
tribal associations in the form of community organizations or gangs.
By making all politics local, you can muster black and Democratic
voters and citizens to run for their communities but they have to
be taught how they have been gerrymandered into disempowered puzzle
pieces on the map. This is the time to move into the future by taking
over the institutions that were created for this very purpose. We
are the People of the United States of America.
