The Sun moved into Aquarius on Monday and is nearing Neptune with the Moon exactly square to the planet of fantasy, illusion and confusion. It’s also about the dream world and the psychic remains of your self-created image as who really you are. You have created the person you are by your own intentions and if that’s hard for you to handle, then you have to get your chart explained in deeper detail. Most people are exactly what they need to be for this lifetime. Sometimes the biochemistry of fertilization gets a little wrong and nature screws up. It’s the accidents of nature that make life interesting. Mars is on the South Node and the last time that happened, the N.Y. Skyline changed along with our lives and our awareness of how the rest of the world sees us. We used to want to be everybody’s friend but we’re making more enemies these days. We don’t have to go to war when there’s no one who’s attacking us at the moment. Unless Osama comes out of hiding…but he’s probably in a CIA safe house somewhere and waiting for the next chance to do the bidding of the evil axis. He has direct ties to the Bush family so just be careful of who you think is at fault in all this international mess. Globalization isn’t the answer that American business interests think it is and it is one of the reasons we are so hated around the world. It’s time for a change of regime, not just in Baghdad, but in Washington, DC. We have to get those cold-blooded warmongers out of there. Too bad we can’t call a vote of No-Confidence like in Canada. We need a change for the future. Aquarius, the sign of the future, is the revolutionary spirit of true individuality and freedom. The French would say during their revolution, “Liberty, Fraternity, Equality.” The royals who sit on their golden thrones and watch the impoverished masses starve were and still are part of a corruption and power abuse that has gone unchecked for eons and until people are awakened to the light of the truth, nothing will change. There will always be very rich and very poor people. The disparity has gone unchecked for thousands of years, ever since the tribal leaders had more wives than the rest of the villagers and owned most of the gold. These days the distinctions are a little less clear. Aquarians are reincarnated Atlanteans, some are the Warlords, like Cheney and Reagan while others are the humanitarian idealists, like Lincoln, Washington and Galileo. It is also a sign that produces some of the greatest athletes, like Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron. In this sign, we encounter the extraterrestrial experience, as space is the vast unknown we are trying to understand. There are the people who think we came from outer space and were cloned or genetically engineered to evolve from lower humanoid life forms already developing here. In ancient times, the creator of human life gave birth out of the water and was perceived as being both genders, a father/mother god. Most creations myths have water as a central place of origin. As a result, the Greeks spent a lot of time in the baths and had a rather unisex way of living or at least dressing. I say Androgyny is the wave of the future and the answer to the war between the sexes. When people can identify with either sex, there would be fewer gender-related issues. Sexual assaults would diminish and so would gender discrimination. Crimes against homosexuals would cease as people become more gender integrated. There would be fewer wars because the return of the goddess would generate a feeling of love and harmony. Cultures where misogyny is rampant would become integrated and the feminine would be respected, even revered. The rate of childbirth would decrease because people would be defined by their creative talents rather than those that are gender oriented. When you realize that the human spirit has no gender, then it’s no wonder why we have issues about sex. Most people can’t seem to get much at all. Others are absolutely addicted to it. Some people try to create a balance but they don’t always recognize the desires of their partner. We don’t know enough about each other because we don’t understand enough about ourselves. The Aquarian ideal is to KNOW. Know thyself! Yet it is the sign of the unexpected, the unpredictable and surprises. So, it just shows you that you never know what will happen, even though astrology itself is ruled by Uranus and Aquarius. We can predict many things accurately, as in this past week when one of my Virgo clients had a reading and I told her to watch out for accidents on last Friday. Sure enough, she got rear-ended, despite being on guard. You never know, even when you know. How will it happen and when is a matter of a confluence of karma and a synchronicity of events. Another one of my clients had a reading recently where I told her she would meet a new boyfriend in the following week and sure enough, she did! This week, my agent was in Utah at the Sundance Film Festival and, hopefully, was shopping my two scripts around. Anyway, I was reading in the newspaper this week about a film there wherein an American Army soldier fell in love with a transsexual and got murdered because of it. Talk about a crying game! There was the Stephen Rae movie by that name a while back and it was well done and well reviewed. The backdrop was the Irish war with the British…the one still seething. Transsexuals, like homosexuals have gotten little respect from the citizens of the world. They are frequently ostracized and insulted as if it was a bad decision to follow their biological urges. It would be like telling a bee he can’t buzz or a fish not to swim. People are creatures of instinct and many souls have made a gender switch because they need to experience some of the qualities of the opposite sex. Sometimes the chromosomes get confused and a biological male has a genetic female inside…or vise versa. They had no control over this state of events, since it’s a force of nature and biology. I met a guy at the chiropractor who spoke of meeting a hermaphrodite when he was in school and went on a date before knowing it. After being surprised by the appearance of both organs, he left her in his own house and went out for a walk. It was disconcerting for him then, but later went to Thailand and hung out with the hottest transsexuals in the world in Bangkok. You never know. Some events and experiences can change the way you view people. Looking back on my first friends in California, one guy was black and the other was gay. I really was a liberal big city Easterner coming to the way-out-west land of dreams and movies. I have opened my heart to more women than I care to remember because I wanted to experience life from as many different vantage points as possible. I know why and how people relate to each other, as a result of the many encounters I’ve had. I have come to realize that sex is whatever you need to be; recreation, pleasure, procreation, pain and addiction…whatever your spiritual needs are, that’s how you play it out. There are consequences like disease and pregnancy but not if you’re smart and careful. For the stupid ones, they should have alternatives, too. I don’t believe in killing humans but why is it the same people who want to go to war and kill people are the same ones against abortion? I believe a life is not an individual until it is born and as an astrologer, I have centuries of experience to back up that assertion. If it has no name nor fingerprints or takes no breath, how then is it a human life? We have got to prevent the demise of our rights and the repeal of Roe V. Wade would further damage what little control women have over their bodies. Maybe the arch conservatives who would even consider such a thing will come back as women needing abortions. Well, it’s time to recycle Xmas trees and renew nature with the mulch of dead pines and firs. Some places will give a live sapling for bringing them in…then you have a living tree in perpetuity. I’m picking the bones of Capricorn this week and have a few issues I’d like to discuss. One of my thoughts was cemeteries, although maybe it’s a dead issue. Why take up real estate for the bones of spirits who aren’t anywhere close? We originate from the vast primordial waters of the oceanic depths. We should return to them when our spirits no longer require the vessel. Here’s another thought…on a world full of water, why are we so screwed up in our management of it? And why hasn’t desalination progressed so far? There should be no one dying of thirst unless they are lost in the desert. Back to the cemetery…the only reason most people go to them is to bury their loved ones…the dearly departed. Those who visit them do so because they are unwilling to let go of the physical. But you are not your physical body…you are your spirit, unless the car is driving the driver! So why not go for cremation and scatter your ashes to the waters that bore you into this world…go back to your mother, the goddess of the Sea and creatrix of the planet. You know, religion and science have their respective views of how life on Earth was created but I can’t agree with either of them. Now I don’t want to alarm anyone but we all have fallen under the spell of Science or Religion at some point. I’m very sure God didn’t create the universe in 7 days, which is more symbolic that anything. Seven is a mystical number and has a special significance to numerologists regarding enlightened universality. Separation is unknown in the cosmic perspective of God. It is all One and we are all a part of it. And everything is perfect, no matter what your little mind may think. Everything is going along as it should. Everyone is who they should be for that moment and we would hope that they, too, are taking the steps to evolve into better human souls and eventually elevate to a higher plane of existence. To use is a Capricorn thing but there has been too much abuse of the Earth. Capricorn is the sign of structure and powerful accomplishments are attained when you know how things work and when it’s time to work them. If you have no strategy or plan, how can you succeed? Astrology is a timetable to success for a Capricorn, a system of enlightenment to awaken humanity from the Aquarian perspective and a method of understanding self and God in the Piscean point of view. It is all of that and more and that more of you don’t call for readings, well, it surprises me. You know, it’s not like religion that feeds on fear and makes you like sheep, just waiting for your lord and master to redeem you when he as much told you that you needed to do it yourself. Taking personal responsibility is a Capricorn quality and you can’t be waiting for someone to save you or cleanse you of your sins. You have to stop doing things that hurt yourself or others so that you are truly worthy of advancing on to the next plane of consciousness. That’s what it is, you know. It’s not paradise like a perfect world populated by virgins, it’s an energy field of light and wisdom and creative essence. It’s what you create and yet so many of you create negative experiences. It’s depressing me to think that we can create our own joy and happiness but instead create our own misery and depression. Do you know how many cures there are for depression? I’ll give you a hint, there’s nothing you can take from a bottle that will cure depression since most of it is in your head. Capricorn rules depression because of the fear factor and I’m not referring to the TV show. It’s based on a sense of loss and either a relationship or a job ending can trigger it. But what some people see as the end of the road, others see the beginning of a new one and an opportunity for a fresh start. If you are really depressed, one cure is to get physically active and begin an aerobic exercise program of 45 minutes per session 5 times a week. The release of endorphins will balance out your brain chemistry for the short haul. Then it’s a matter of doing your business to the best of your ability since being productive and successful is what Capricorn is all about. Going back to the polarization of life due to the harmful effects of Science and Religion, it occurs to me that they have split the human race into two camps; those who rely on blind faith in an all powerful deity who will send a redeemer and bring them salvation versus those whose skepticism has denied the existence of anything they can’t prove with the scientific method. Both extremes refuse to appreciate the naturalistic view of the unfolding universe in its ever-evolving nature. I don’t want to get into discussing the quantum physics that relates to the creation of the universe but wouldn’t common sense dictate that it’s impossible for all the matter and energy in the universe to be at one point at one time? So that would blow the “Big Bang Theory.” And isn’t it just a little too much beyond the realm of possible to expect a single being to create the entire universe all by Him/Herself? So what does one believe anymore? The truth will set you free and when you know the truth about your divine self, you are the creator of your destiny. The full moon today reminds us of the balance between the Sun and the Moon and their respective cycles. It is the time of the month when there is maximum light, for the illumination of the moon reflects the light of the sun. This happens 13 times a year and 13 is a significant number in metaphysical terms. The 13th card of the tarot is Death, a symbol of the passage of the Earthly body as the spirit continues it’s journey. Death is not much past the middle of the major arcana cards for a good reason…that it isn’t the end of the journey! It’s interesting how some decks will have the Universe (the World) as the last card and some give it to the Fool. It makes sense that at the end of a cycle, the same exact point can be the end and the beginning, as well. So does the Fool just begin the journey or is it foolishness that brings about his end? Maybe it’s both. So many people doubt themselves so much that they have to be validated by others. Well, if you believe in yourself by knowing yourself, you’ll have more power over yourself. And there…I just precessed the last three signs of the Zodiac, the same way the nodes precess or the galaxy and the Great cycle of Ages. Some people learn by moving forward and as seems to be the custom under Mercury retrograde, some learn better going backwards. They’re stuck in the review stage and have a harder time planning and doing. I think it’s most important to do. One writer said, “To be is to do” and another said, “To do is to be.” Frank Sinatra sang, “Do be, Doobie doo.” For some you are what you do. For others, they are what they wear. For many, you are what you eat. But in truth, you are what you want to be. You just have to do it. If you want your life to start working, then get to work and make it happen. You can’t really depend on other people to do what you have to do. If you are going to be able to respect yourself, it’s in what you do, not what you are. You can say that you’ve been profiled because security is much harder than ever but if you’re clean, what do you have to worry about. Unless you have the misfortune of have an Arabic name. But that’s a whole different subject I won’t get into now, especially since the new Republican dominated government has been sworn in. I swear to you people that if you don’t do something about the governmental corruption and waste in the next election, I’m catching the next spaceship out of here. Okay, I’m anticipating the Sun’s entry into Aquarius on Monday, so call me and bring me back to Earth to answer your questions. All you have to do is call.

Mercury is retrograding behind the Sun right now, an inferior conjunction as I remember it to be called. The symbol for the degree is “A Hawk standing on a square black rock bathed in the rays of the rising sun. It is a symbol of Renewing.” It is a degree of seeing into the future and a new age of love. Personally, I don’t know how people can endure the world the way it is now. Capricorn is the sign of power and authority but we’ve been letting our rights be stripped from us while we allow the government to further limit what we can and can’t have. American car manufacturers are going to begin selling hybrid cars…soon. It should have happened years ago…like in the 70’s when we had the first Arab oil crisis. There are modes of transportation other than cars that don’t require as much oil, or any in some cases. What galls me is the needless excess to which people have indulged themselves. Why does any normal person need a Hummer? It’s too big for most parking places and consumes twice the gas or more of a more conventional vehicle. Even more galling is that the owners are getting tax breaks even if they can’t prove it’s for business. We have to stop destroying our planet by consuming every last resource it has. It will wilt and crumble to dust by the time we’re through with it. Just to be a little far out here, I believe this is a reason we aren’t permitted to explore beyond our solar system. We would be a galactic threat to other life forms in our current state of evolution. Gene Roddenberry was a visionary who foresaw a future in which we learn to cooperate and not destroy life with pollution and violence. Many people ignore the messages of the prophets. Look at the great masters of the past…Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Lao-Tsu and many others. There are a few adherents to their truths and many who get some of the message but lie out on the fringe of the teachings’ deeper meanings. Most obvious is the case of Jesus. How many people are following his true instructions? You know, there are many disciplines that he taught that are too hard for the church elders to keep. You might remember Fish Friday. Do you know why it was there in the first place? It represented the New Age He brought in, the Age of Pisces. The symbol to identify early fellow Christians was the rudimentary fish. It was also because the disciples had many fishermen amongst them. Jesus was a Pisces, too. I’m reading Liz Greene’s book on Neptune and she goes on about creation myths having a common theme of water origins. It makes sense because even evolution scientists describe the watery primordial ooze we crawled out of. Then there are those who say we were a cloning experiment by aliens. I believe it’s more a hybridization of human and alien patterns for mutual benefit. Particularly strong is the suggestion by Edgar Cayce that the 5 races appeared around the same time on this planet, seeded from other planets. The next evolutionary step is a big one and it won’t be as easy as the “Rapture” or a mass evacuation in spaceships. There are no great beings that will rescue us. Deities tend to be hands off anymore. They don’t take the personal interest as once they did in the days of Noah or Abraham; so don’t look to religion for salvation. “The Kingdom of Heaven is within. Ye are Gods.” Too many people want someone else to supply the answer but I say to you that you have the truth embedded within your chart. Everything you need to know about your destiny in written in the record of the stars and planets. My apologies to all you devout folks but although the good book may be the all-time best seller, there are many discrepancies when compared with the original texts and the worst offender in the King James perversion. So, what do you do? Read “Conversations with God” and then think about what religion has done to our world and its people. Remember the Inquisition and the witch burnings because we don’t need that to happen again. History is cyclical and there is no use in repeating things just because your daddy did something bad to someone. You don’t have to do it, too. Do you hear that Mr. President? But then, you never did know when to stay out of daddy’s business and away from his friends. So many of the players in the Bush administration have ties to Nixon, who would have been another year older this week if he weren’t dead! You should know the truth. Nixon ordered the hits on the Kennedy brothers and filtered through his dark side connections to look clean. It’s because he had friends on the Warren Commission…like Gerry Ford. When you start connecting the dots, you become a little afraid of the system of government that allows despots to masquerade as leaders of the free world. Corruption and backroom dealings are merely the beginnings of unmasking the problems with government. The blind adherence to laws that were put in place to prevent a just and fair economy to develop has got to be abolished. It’s time we took a look at where the money is being wasted. How about the War on Drugs…as unwinnable a war as Viet Nam. The biggest problem in the drug world is crank or Meth especially crystal. It’s deadly and it’s cheap and easy to make. Speed kills because it accelerates your metabolism to the point where your blood vessels can burst. The hypocrisy of the situation is that instead of going after the violent criminals that use speed, they go after the little old ladies and gentlemen who are using medical marijuana because it’s an easy bust. I can imagine the cops doing a strip search on an older person who’s dying of something like Cancer and needs the relief of pot. There are many uses for the herb that the DEA wants to call a dangerous drug. All of them are beneficial and there are no fatalities or cases of toxic reaction…ever…in the history of humanity. No one has ever died from it and historically many have been helped by it. In order to know why the powers that be are afraid of the little cannabis plant, read The Emperor Wears No Clothes” and you get the history of the people who benefit from keeping it hard to get. The Feds are in bed with the drug manufacturers and get kickbacks for allowing them to have free reign to sell whatever crap they come up with, even to the point of putting Mercury into vaccines that will turn your hair gray and eventually kill you. What can you do? For one, you can try to lead a more natural life. Taurus, where the Moon is today, is the sign of herbs and gardening as well as farming. If you get back to nature, perhaps doing your part to make the Earth green again, maybe we can stem the forces of darkness. A word about the Mars square to Uranus today, even though I mentioned it last week, it bears repeating…be careful driving anything fast. Accidents happen with this aspect more than many others. Another aspect that might become difficult is the South Node and Venus conjoining this week in Sag. It could portend a tough time being honest in a relationship or the feeling that you are giving too much and not having a balanced partnership. When you receive, it’s a nice gesture to give. First show of the New Year and Mercury is now retrograde but that doesn’t mean I’m going to repeat myself…too much. The Moon is in Aquarius and it’s conjoining Neptune, signifying imagination, fantasy and illusion on one side and deception, confusion and victimization on the other. There is also an occult or spiritual side to this configuration that may inspire poets and musicians to create beautiful works of genius. It all depends on where you are able to go with it. In fact, as we are experiencing the full force of the Capricorn energy at this time, it’s appropriate that in the evening sky we are able to see Saturn, its ruler, brighter and closer than usual because its rings are tilting towards us. If you have a telescope, you have to take a look. Capricorn is the sign of earthly mastery and it suggests power and authority can control and manipulate because they have a strategy and an agenda as well as paying off the right people. It’s my business to know how everything works, so I’m not being paranoid when I tell you about the more extreme manifestations of astrology. Keep in mind that Richard Nixon, Mao Tse-Tung, Joseph Stalin, J. Edgar Hoover and King John, the usurper of Richard Lionheart’s throne were all Capricorns. There are many other old goats that use people and abuse power. Nixon was probably the nastiest and dirtiest of them because of the extent of his control…he seems to be reaching out from beyond to keep an eye on his Bushwhacker boys. He was the man who set up the Kennedy assassinations and ordered the invasion of the Bay of Pigs. Ford and Reagan as well as Bush and Cheney were and are puppets in his global domination game. He opened up China because he wanted a hedge against the Russians but also because it contains the largest population of all the countries in the world. American commerce enters and generates billions in income for U.S. based multinational corporations. But I digress away from the Capricorn personality, as I am married to one and know that there are also those who are respectable and responsible citizens who follow the rules and work within a structured framework or hierarchy. There are some who slip through the cracks and get left behind because they slide into depression and wallow in guilt because of all they should have done. Well, I say to all of you, there is a way to do your purposeful work while maintaining your integrity. You have to envision the goal or final result of your efforts and know that there is a constructive reason for it and it will withstand the test of time. If you burden yourself with worry and fear, you lose. Everything that is worth accomplishing is worthy of the investment of time and determination but there should be a purpose behind it that has more to do with collective responsibility than personal greed. There are those who would sell you things to generate business for destructive industries that pollute our water and air. You have to examine what you buy and what went into its manufacture. If everyone were to do this, there would be massive boycotts of products that everyone uses…but there are alternatives to many of those products if you look. Natural products may cost a little more but their producers are aware of the need to sustain the Earth so that it may replenish us with its resources. The greedy bastards who rape the land and then exploit foreign countries and their resources are not to be trusted or patronized. There are many cover-ups when it comes to this business. Maybe instead of spying on your neighbors and bowing down to the Homeland Security lies and deceptions, you could look out for yourself and each other by making manufacturers accountable for the problems they cause. All I’m saying is that we have to respect the land and its use. The secret of the Holy Grail as told in the movie “Excalibur” was the “You and the land are One.” You must take care of both yourself and the land to keep them healthy and productive. Did you know that Capricorns as a sign live longer than any other sign? It’s due to their caution and patience, not rushing headlong into adventure and risky activities like the shortest lived, Sagittarius. Neither of my Sagittarius parents made it to 70. There is some crazy energy coming up this week with Mars in a square to Uranus, an aspect known for accidents and weird or unexpected conflicts or sexual liaisons. Many gay people have this aspect because it inclines one to experiment and change the focus of one’s sexual activities. We just went through Venus square Uranus yesterday and if there are break-ups of relationships this weekend don’t be too surprised. Keep in mind that many couples stay together for the holidays because they don’t want to be alone. But when they can’t communicate and the tempers flare, there will be separations galore. When Venus enters Sagittarius on Tuesday the 7th, you may want to expand your social horizons and find someone of a different nature than you’ve been around. I think the truth is that humans have been programmed to be monogamous and it’s not really easy to stay with one and only one person. Fortunately I had enough involvements during my 20’s and 30’s before I got married that I don’t feel deprived…depraved sometimes, but not deprived. Relationships are important to everyone and I believe that more thought and examination needs to go into each and every one. When you have significant dealings with someone, an astrological compatibility report or reading will help shed light on what you’re getting yourself into. Sometimes you just know you know someone and the chart will show that you met in a previous life. You are spirit energy seeking to find your way home, back to your people. You often feel like a stranger in a strange land, with even your family feeling like aliens…or maybe you feel like you just beamed down from the planet Amazon and the people here are wimps. Well, it might be true. One thing about Capricorn is that the awesome power of control stems from insecurity, which is why they worry so much. Fear is an emotion we need to lessen in our lives. Fear creates anger and hostility. When you love, you fight fear. Love conquers all. Love those who hate you. Forgive those who harm you. They know not what they do. These are words from a Piscean Avatar when he was not dying on the cross. He escaped to France with Mary Magdalene and the cup from the Last Supper went with them. Think of it this way…Passover is a celebration of the escape of the Jews from Egypt, although that may be another myth, too. The cup is the source of the Holy Grail stories, so they had to originate from somewhere. You know, the Dark Ages were caused by the Church burning or collecting and hiding, all the knowledge and wisdom of the previous age. Why do you think they burned the Library at Alexandria? The victors get to write the history books and they write them with theirs as the only truth. Well, you can write your history the way you want but I can help you write your future with more strength and purpose than you ever thought possible. Indeed, the truth sets you free. Free to be the person you needed to become to overcome the negative patterns from the past. Even if you think your life is going fine doesn’t mean you can’t accelerate your personal evolution. I’m not talking about just changing your life; I’m talking about altering your destiny and that of every living thing on the planet. It’s not just you, although it starts there. It’s you as a part of the whole. There is only One and we are it. You are in the process of becoming so don’t be satisfied with what you are. We have to take our personal responsibility back and vote for fewer laws. I suggest that both houses of congress split their time away from the Capitol with time at home, in their own cities and see that the needs of their people are being represented. We need to have discussion with our representatives and tell them what we feel about laws on the books and laws that need to be removed. It’s not right for Pennsylvania to harass the Amish people for living in the 19th century. There are many ways to live but you have to find the way that is best for you.
