Today would have been my late sister’s 54th birthday and while I miss her, she has another path to explore in the higher realms before she comes back to try it again. Yesterday would have been Deanna’s 59th birthday and the second Saturn return that she went through contributed to her leaving this plane. Here it is, Mercury retrograde and I’m talking about people who have passed over. It’s easy to dwell in the past during the retrograde because it’s about re-covering ground already gone over. With the Moon in Pisces, we could discuss some spiritual themes that are also Taurean, like goddess worship from pre-Judaism. Did you know they were worshipping a bull god and goddess during the Age of Taurus, just over four thousand years ago? It was an age when the feminine was in force and the men submitted…for a while, until they learned about gaining control through spreading fear. With that weapon, the Babylonians created the first great empire and began enslaving other tribes and civilizations. The desire for conquest was less about ideology than it was about control over resources. It generated a sense that you had to get what you can while you are alive, amassing wealth and power to dominate others. It was so not what women in charge would have ever done. With the female goddesses reigning, it was all about peace and plenty and living in harmony with nature and each other. Raising children was a communal project, with everyone participating in the educational programs. Perhaps the decline of co-operation was brought on by the introduction of money and possessions, which causes addictions and attachments. We want things that make us feel better because we have lost the connection of love and the infinite God within. The sign of the bull is concerned with values and self-worth. When you have some talent and appreciate the skill with which you labor and do a job that has substance and quality, then you are compensated accordingly. The worst problem in our economy is seeing the CEO’s of huge corporations getting gigantic bonuses as their companies go down in flames. I believe in taking personal responsibility for what your company does. If you take it to the pinnacle of success, you are worthy of a large bonus. If it’s just surviving, then you should not get any perks until it changes. People who indulge in wasteful spending never work a day of physical labor for the most part. They don’t understand the role of every member of their team or appreciate the poverty of the minimum wage earner on his payroll. Those at the bottom have a life of misery so they indulge in escapist activities like alcohol and drugs…or food. Some people who didn’t get what they wanted as a child may become shopaholics and buy things just to satisfy the urge to get things they want…but they don’t really want the things they buy. They are looking for something that may never come, like love and affection from an adoring parent. Sex and sensual pleasures are also high on the list of pleasures that sublimate us when we don’t get what we need. That’s a problem because with the Catholic Church forbidding birth control, populations are out of control and that only increases poverty and joblessness. It all comes down to money. And who has it? The top one or two percent of the population, many of whom run multi-national corporations. These are the people who control the government and are, themselves, former members of the government. You may have wondered about advertising and promotional campaigns like, “Got milk?” or “Beef…it’s what’s for dinner.” Well, the dairy industry and the beef industry fund the in-school food pyramid posters. They send millions of dollars into the pockets of senators and other government officials in order to saturate the schools around the country with their propaganda. Even now, with all our knowledge of what constitutes a healthy diet, there are far too many institutions that refuse to accommodate vegetarians. Do you think you could get a meat-free diet if you ended up in jail or prison? I doubt it. Now, there has just been some legislation passed for schools in CA who are beginning to offer veggie meals, eventually they will even offer Vegan food. Times change slowly and you have to work to change the system. One other thing just in…there’s a new study out that shows people who are overweight have a significantly higher risk of Cancer. So, if you want to narrow the ways you can die, by losing weight, you decrease it by at least two. Cardio-vascular problems are also the number one killer of women in this era. There are so many other things that will kill you. Next, I read in the paper this week about an anti-discrimination law being voted on in California. About 4% of births are transgender and at this time 100,000 transgenders would be affected by a bill in CA assembly, AB196, to halt discrimination against TG people in jobs and housing. One birth in 1,000 is XXY but this past year, 65,000 intersexed births occurred. Why do I bring this up? So that you can see it isn’t about the rigid duality of male and female. Stop genital mutilation by doctors! There are good reasons why these TG’s pop up through the gene pools every now and then. We are descended from hermaphrodites in ancient history and we may be returning to that as an evolutionary goal. Think of it this way…we split off from the great spirit as spirits without gender and have, through many incarnations, experienced lives as men and women. There are people in India known as the 3rd caste who are TG and they have their place in the social strata, too. It is wrong to hate those who are different from you. It doesn’t matter if it’s due to a happenstance of birth, such as a variance with normalcy or if it’s race or size. We are all God’s children and have to learn love and respect for every other one of His creations. Now, Two presidents have their birthdays this week…Grant, 27th and Monroe 28th. Of Monroe, much could be said regarding his foreign policy that prevented European nations from trying to re-colonize the American continents. It became called the Monroe doctrine and if we were to heed that as a guideline for our current world situation, we wouldn’t have our hands in so many foreign pies. He had a strong alliance with Jefferson and Madison and was Minister to France, as well. At home, however, there were growing problems with the boundaries for slavery and he hammered out the Missouri compromise, making it the last of the states where slavery was allowed. This caused things to brew under the surface for a while. He had Moon in Capricorn, so had a pragmatic side but with Uranus and Saturn in Pisces, he had visions for how things could change for the future. His Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Sag altered international relations far beyond our understanding. He was a two-term president, as was Grant, but Ulysses had a drinking problem and some scandals regarding the company he kept. With his Sun conjoining Jupiter and Saturn, he was an opportunist and an authoritarian. His Mars on the South Node made him a fighter from the start and it’s that drive that is also found in the charts of other presidents. He tried to run his presidency much as he ran the army. Needless to say, things didn’t go so well. Reconstruction was a time after the Civil War when Carpetbaggers went South and bought up businesses and land for cheap then made out big upon the turn around. He was secure enough with the position and enjoyed the comforts of the office. I wish you all were secure with your position in life. That is something we can help you with by summoning the power of astrology. It is time to call for a reading, get a lawyer or improve your life. Call now.
A very eventful week is upon us, as the Sun enters Taurus tomorrow, which is Easter, the renewal of life and we’ve just had a crazy Full Moon in Libra with Mars in a square to it. And Venus was square to Saturn on that day, as well, so if a fight broke out and a relationship ended up on the rocks and shoals of the coast of love, it couldn’t weather the storm of a difficult Full Moon. As for this week being holy and sending a religious message to the masses, let me say that all patriarchal religions descend from a common source in Babylon and that was after the elimination of the powerful Mother Goddess. The redeemer cults and messianic faiths have little to do with the original spiritual practices that held earlier civilizations together in peace for thousands of years. Here’s a thought, as we approach Earth Day on Tuesday…humans have been civilized longer than most scientists will reveal, mainly because if they divulge the truth, the funding will be cut off and their work will never be published. You see, there have been finds that date back 250,000 years, long before the 40,000 years of Australian Aborigines or any other human cultures. Even scientists can’t avoid having to deal with cover-ups. We know that there have been many translations of the bible and you can’t expect to get a true understanding of the original teachings when you read corrupt and manipulative texts like the King James perversion of the Good Book. It was written by excessively puritanical writers at a time when free speech and casual sex were taboo. The mere mention hellfire and damnation would be abomination to the master. The lack of love in the book would tear His heart out. If He were to return, he would say, “Jesus Christ, crucify me again!” What they don’t teach you is that he spent a lot of time with the Essenes, a purist cult of Jews who had ritual bathing as part of their religious practice. In fact, you might be familiar with a phrase that originated from them. ”Cleanliness is next to godliness.” I wish more people would think for themselves and do some research into their history and uncover the truths that I have found. One of the links to some good information about things that have been covered up is Nexusmagazine.com and is on my website. As you do the research, you find out things you wish you hadn’t uncovered. Earlier in life, I withdrew into a world of fantasy and science fiction books, like any self-respecting Pisces. As I gathered wisdom from experience, I realized I had to know and express TRUTH! That has become even more obvious to me in the last year as my progressed Sun and Jupiter made a conjunction. Some of you think I have become obsessed by the political games that have been happening but that isn’t the case at all. Politicians will always be politicians but there is something that has been a growing concern of many of us and that is the loss of our basic freedoms and the tyranny of control of the masses by the few. Get off your Prozac now, even it means you have moods that fluctuate. It is better to feel than to be a mindless bliss ninny, as my Libra friend Melissa was fond of saying. Taurus is a sensual sign of touching, tasting, smelling, feeling, hearing and seeing. If you deaden your senses by using drugs, you are letting those who are drugging you take your money and make you impotent. Two thousand years ago a pattern was set for ritual sacrifice of people who would set out to change the world and rise to the occasion when tyrants destroy the rights of the masses of good populations. Jesus was crucified by the Romans because the Jews complained about his discordant and heretical speeches to the people. In order to keep a relative peace in his jurisdiction, Pontius Pilate made an example of him, not knowing the profound result to come. This was not the first time a Son of God came to Earth to redeem the people. 1,200 years before Christ, Virishna lived a similar circumstance as did Krishna and several others, all of which you can read about on Davidicke.net if you are surfing the net. In fact, Buddha was another one, along with Mohammed, who lived exemplary lives and were enlightened souls and true messengers from God. There are some significant differences which I don’t care to debate now but with most religions, you have heaven and hell and yet, not with Buddhism, which has a doctrine of rebirth that differs from my understanding of reincarnation. This is why people are loath to discuss religion. By the way, Buddha was a Taurus and Muhammad may have been an Aries, Confucius was a Libra and Jesus was most certainly a Pisces. Forget the December 25th date of convenience that the Romans put down because it happened to be a festive holiday called Saturnalia. Personally, I find that religion is based upon mythology derived from extremely ancient histories and even extraterrestrial encounters. It is possible that the Virgin Mary, who was not the first virgin to give birth to a master teacher, was visited by aliens who impregnated her with a special seminal fluid to give the child very unique qualities. It was through alien interbreeding that we were able to advance with leaps and bounds over previous humanoid species. After mass extinctions, populations had to be reseeded. Did you know that the Sun is getting warmer by .7 degrees every one hundred years? This is a good reason we’re experiencing the melting of the ice caps and yet, this is a cyclical event. It was about 10,000 thousand years ago when we came out of the last Ice Age. It coincided with the rising of the oceans and the torrential rains that were reportedly Noah’s Flood. There are Western Hemisphere tales of major floods at the same time as well as Asian stories, too, about 5,000 years ago. But who knows exactly when, right? Let’s hope to God we don’t destroy our planet and learn to love each other.
This Wednesday is Secretary’s Day, with the Moon in Aquarius, so treat those who make your appointments and phone calls a lot better this week. And be friendly and come up with a cool surprise.
A few more things…if you have any legal problems, especially criminal actions, we’ve got one of the finest lawyers around. His name is Sammy and he’s the Jewish Jonnie Cochran, as Steve refers to him. Our man Sam will get you out of a jam. Yes indeed, Mr. Weiss will save you from the police. For a small tariff, he’ll rescue you from the sheriff.
The 23rd is James Buchanan’s birthday, one of 4 Taurus presidents and if you don’t remember which one he is, he was right before Lincoln. He was the only bachelor President we’ve had. His First Lady was his niece. Nice. For one thing, he had Moon square Saturn and his Venus did not make any aspects…plus it was in Gemini. He may have had a hard time deciding what he wanted with so many possibilities and no choices in the end. I’m going to incorporate our history into these monologues when it’s appropriate. Next week we’ll have two. The most represented sign in the Presidency is…Capricorn, the sign of authority. Next most frequent sign is Aquarius, for the popularity and ideals of the people of that sign are embraced by many. I hope that you embrace astrology as a way of understanding the cosmic forces that emanate throughout the galaxy. As we move from Aries into Taurus, let us sustain the impetus that got you going in the first place. Dig in and do some gardening. ‘Tis the season.
